My wife and I spent our 19th anniversary here and we enjoyed very much. The service was awesome and the food was very good. Hummus was the BEST. We had hummus, dolmades and gyros. Fresh and hot, the way we liked it. The problem was the parking lot was always full. Get rid of Greek pasta and replace it with fries, it goes with gyros.

Great service and one of the better gyros I’ve had. Will be frequently visiting, great local spot!

I enjoyed the food here. The pita and hummus were delicious! I got the chicken /beef combination which was very good. Waitress was pleasant and ambience was cozy. It is a small place for dine-in. There are probably only about 12 – 15 tables. Prices are reasonable and everyone enjoyed their food.

I stopped in for some take out today and I must say I’m impressed. The place is located in kind of a low rent looking strip mall so I was pretty surprised at how spotless and well put together and spotless the interior was. My lamb gyro was made very quickly and was reasonably priced. The ingredients were all very fresh and I like that they put just the right amount of sauce on. The gyro tasted as good as it looked and they didn’t skimp on the lamb which I appreciated. My only regret is that I didn’t see the unbelievably good looking chocolate cake they had for sale until after I paid but I will definitely be getting one the next time I stop in!

Normally I go to Columbia for my kabob needs however upon searching I found Nora’s kabob. From the wonderful Unilocal reviews I was convinced it would fit all my expectations. I was definitely in the mood for lamb, I needed something fast and simple so I decided to start with a simple lamb gyro. On Unilocal it offers the convenience of ordering right on the app, however upon arrival they had not received my order and told me orders were not taken through Unilocal.Even though I received an email confirm. It was not a big deal just FYI for future customers! Moving forward to the food; it wasn’t what I expected. It was nicely and neatly wrapped veggies were good, I am not a fan of the chunks of blue cheese. The lamb meat was very disappointing it seems more like ground lamb??? Like lamb meatloaf. Maybe I’m not all hat educated about gyro and if they use a different type of meat substitute, I don’t know. But I’ve ordered lamb gyros before with real chunks of lamb meat! I will however return to try more delicious options on the menu.

Outstanding dinner. Fresh grilled Salmon kabobs, large portion that was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Greek salad was romaine lettuce with feta & tomatoes and was delicious. My eggplant appetizer was superb. The service was excellent. I may even try the filet mignon kabobs tonight!!!

My girlfriend knows I love kabobs so she always gets Nora’s for me. Nora’s is great, very clean tasting and not heavy feeling(compared to Afghan which are my favorite). This place is definitely one of the better kabob places in the area. I would definitely give it a try if you’re around.

Good food always prepared fresh. Kabob’s are outstanding the salmon is my favorite. Falafel is very good too. If you go the dine howard county you can get a coupon.

Tucked away in a little strip, I’ve always passed by this place while driving down 40. It wasn’t until recently I decided to try it out. I’ve been here 3 times so far, and they were all good experiences. It is always crowded when I go, so there is some wait time, but I’d say it’s worth it! I’ve had the khoobideh, chicken, and filet mignon kabobs, but I’d say the khoobideh is my favorite. All the meats were seasoned perfectly, and I love that the entrees come with rice and/or salad(I like to get half and half). Will definitely return to try more items on the menu!

My wife and I have been there many times. I am sorry I should have posted this sooner. In the beginning I was worried that if I wrote too glowing a review, the wait would be too long. Well, it happened anyway. Not too bad but anything good is worth waiting for, yeah? LOVE the fresh and fluffy pita with dips. I can’t make hummus that good at home. Yum. «Wraps» aren’t like BWI food service wraps but these are super fresh made. Boring falafel, not at Norah’s. My wife loves the chicken kabobs and even though a stomach issue keeps me away from chicken breast, theirs is so moist, no prob. I prefer lamb and steak for me. Great service. Super friendly and helpful. Place is kept CLEAN. Their«other» place is pastries and coffees so desserts are very home made and tasty. Hmmm might go there tonight! I’m going 5 stars to compensate for happy diners that are a bit anal retentive with their stars. So many joints around this area are SO ho hum. This is a jewel. Can I nit pick? Sure. Will I? Nah, not with food this good. ONLY thing I’d change? Mis-set clocks on the wall. They can come down entirely. I’d rather see a map of where the owners and servers are from.

Very solid kebobs, epsecially if you dine-in and the meat stays moist. The mezzes are also very good with the warm pita. Staff and service is excellent.

Fantastic experience, service is excellent, and food is high quality. Really enjoyed our meal here. Hummus was smooth and delicious, chicken and lamb gyros were cooked to perfection and large portions. Service was great.

The food was awesome, but the space is small. There were no tables available and a 15 minute wait. No thank you. Opted for carry out. Service was great and friendly. Definitely will be back!

Great food, great service, good suggestions and so friendly!!! Best chicken kabab in the area. The BORANI was amazing had the nora combo |. Desserts: All of them were great. My no 1 was the Baghlava Not too sweet and tender enough. My bf had the napelloni and was good enough too.

Dropped by Nora’s last night for dinner with my wife and brother. The server promptly found us a table despite not having a reservation(it’s much smaller than I anticipated!). They recognized us as new customers and brought out samples of the hummus, eggplant and spinach dips. It was a very nice touch. We tried chicken and salmon kabobs, which were, in the words of Buddy the Elf, ginormous. The Greek salad and rice were ample and fresh. They dropped a coupon on us at the end of the meal. I don’t live lose to Ellicott City, but I’m coming back to Nora’s ASAP.

My friends and I came here for lunch on a workday. The décor was youthful and relaxed. The sitting area is not very big but sufficient judging by their traffic on a weekend. The staff was very friendly. I absolutely adored my lamb kabob platter. My friend did prefer Maiwand Kabob’s chicken kabob…

We were a little nervous because of the ambiance comments from others, but we decided to give it s try anyway, and boy were we glad! We started with the pineapple sangrias, and then tried the 3 plate appetite, which we tried the hummus, the spinach and yogurt and grape leaves and they were all great! It was served with some warm, fresh and delicious pita bread. Next my hubby and I tried the meal for two so we could sample all the kabobs. The chicken was super tender and juicy as was the steak(filet) and the lamb. We got half and half rice with Greek salad. They were both as expected, fresh and also tasty. Our friends got gyros and they were so tasty that when we looked up from our meal to ask how they liked theirs, it was gone! They said they were very flavorful and said they would define you come again. We finished with cannoli and espresso crème brûlée. Both were fresh and tasty. Our recommendation? Go!

I really liked the idea of this place. The place, according to Unilocal photos, looked to be cozy and clean and relatively new(or well renovated). Unfortunately, the lunch special was less impressive than I expected. The cost for all lunch specials are approx. $ 10. Sadly, the plate was sadly skimpy. A messy scoop of white rice(no yellow stained saffron basmati rice…), 3 cubes of lamb meat(I ordered lamb, instead of chicken or beef), and then a very stale(yet very hot — microwave then tossed on grill?) slice of pita bread. First, the waiter was really young and mechanical-like. He told me to sit and that he would come to me. He never helped refill my water, he never came to check in on me, he never really provided«hospitality» or service. Since this place is really small, it seems like the majority of customers are pick-up or take-out. I dined in around 1pm on a weekday. The entire place was empty. 2 – 3 customers came in and out to pick-up orders. And still, the kid behind the counter manning the POS system and cashier was also jumping out to the dining area to bring me my food. Honestly, I was disappointed that I needed to even pay a tip, since there was no dine-in service provided. I need to stand up and walk to the counter to ask for more water, and later, go up to ask for the check(after waiting 8 – 10 minutes after finishing my lunch and waiting for someone/anyone to come and help me with cashing out. Really disappointed. I would have been better off ordering online or calling and then picking up(avoid paying tip, avoid the long sitting/waiting times…). Anyways, then I get to my Second point. The food was underwhelming. The rice was not basmati rice. It appeared and tasted like«Minute Rice» or some cheap instant rice. I was so upset with this alone. The rice was also not seasoned at all, which is normally completely fine, but if they are serving really cheap long-grain instant rice… I’d expect some seasoning. Heck, I’d take a dash of plain salt or even a sprinkle of dried parsley for presentation. None of the sort. I had to ask for sumac seasoning(which I love and normally see all the time in Kebob/Pakistani/Indian food venues and restaurants), and seasoned myself. The pita bread was very thin and not impressive. No grilling or proper heating — kind of like a microwaved pita then sliced, and put on a flat-top for crisp/heat. I’ll pass… The lamb meat was good. No complaints with the kebob itself! Seasoned very well and tender. Yum! However, for the small cubes I got in the entire lunch special deal, it was not worth it. I won’t go again. And if I must, I will do take-out and focus on meat-only menu items. Perhaps dinner service and dishes are better, but I won’t lose sleep over planning a trip there just for that.

I’ve been wanting to try Nora’s for awhile now and I’m glad I finally did. The only big downfall to coming here is the awful parking in the shopping center, which I cannot hold against them. If you can find a spot, you will be golden. The restaurant is VERY small, so I would suggest calling ahead or getting take out.(There are 10 tables at most) Our waiter was ok. Not overly friendly but I didn’t come for conversation, I came to eat, so we will move on from that. We ordered the hummus as an appetizer. It was FANTASTIC. We could really tell it was homemade and it came with delicious hot NAAN bread. Omg. Totally amazing! Order this. I got the classic chicken kabob with rice and a Greek salad, my mom got the lamb kabob and my husband got the seafood kabob. Our food took about 20 minutes to come out but it was fresh and delicious. We all enjoyed our meals! My husband did feel like his dish could’ve had a little more seafood for the price of 19 dollars(it had 2 cubes of salmon, 2 cubes of swordfish and 2 shrimp) but other then that it was well made and seasoned properly. Overall it was a good experience and we will be back again for some delicious Mediterranean food!
