*This one’s for you, Paul!* So, my boyfriend and I took our niece and nephews here after a hike over at Patapsco State Park. We had a serious craving for some boba(bubble tea) and thanks to good ol’ Unilocal,I saw that Snow Café was only 8 minutes away from us and had good enough reviews. First off, the interior is very cute. The walls behind the counter provide you with a chalkboard-like look of the menu(note: there are also items displayed on/around the register that weren’t on the wall i.e. fruit teas and milk teas). The bathroom was big and clean, but the door(at least the women’s door) was hard to open and there’s a dark and slightly open closet off to the side that was a bit weird. We ordered the following: –green milk tea: this is your basic matcha green milk tea. Nothing to rave about, but I love all things green tea, and this didn’t disappoint. –black milk tea w/coffee jelly: my niece liked her drink very much and the coffee jelly did indeed taste like coffee, but I couldn’t quite figure out the taste of her milk tea. –taro milk tea w/boba: this tasted NOTHING like taro! That being said, it was REALLY good lol. We couldn’t quite figure out what the taste was, but we all settled on some sort of cereal. I said it tasted kind of like the marshmallows from lucky charms, my nephew said trix cereal… it basically tasted like the sugary-milk at the end of a bowl of cereal. –half mango, half strawberry fruit tea w/boba: this was very sweet and very good! we did order this with the rainbow jelly, but it ended up being made with boba… not too big of a deal, but my boyfriend was looking forward to jelly. –lychee fruit tea w/boba: tasted EXACTLY like those lychee fruit cups you can get at an asian market. It was incredibly refreshing and not too sweet. My nephew noted that it may get a little watered down once the ice melts, so you might want to consider asking for«light ice.» The next time my boyfriend and I are back in Maryland, we will definitely be taking our niece and nephews back out hiking and Snow Café will definitely be our reward at the end of the hike

Upon Unilocal reviews, decided to try this for the first time. I got the Pobbingsu and my friend got the Fruit party. Their version of shaved ice was interesting. It was light and had a sweetness to it and the added side red bean or the various fruits added flavor. It was just the thing on a hot May day.

We came here and got some of the shaved cream. I had a «Fruit Party» — I think. It was delicious. My wife had a variation on the Oreo version, which she said was very good. I’m going to stick with the fresh fruit in the future. Also, it’s relatively low calorie. They also have some waffles, which I haven’t tried, but they can be used for sandwiches with gelato or savory things, and those are supposed to be good.

I completely forgot to write a review for this place. I’ve been here two times. The second time I went here I tried to get the tapioca, but they ran out so I got the rainbow jelly. That rainbow jelly was pretty good. I also got a simple grilled cheese, which was pretty good also. I’m not completely wow’ed, so I’m not going to go out of my way to drive here often. I’ll probably bring friends here in the future because I like the interior.

Love their jalapeño chicken and waffles(which everyone says) and their taro lattes! The staff is really friendly and there’s lots of options. I like their Polaroid wall!

The food was delicious. We ordered a breakfast burrito, Jalapeño chicken and waffles, and strawberry snow ice. Prices are very reasonable! Jalapeño chicken and waffles were very good — strange to see salad on top of a waffle but it definitely works. The waffle was dense and sweet to perfection. The snow ice was unique and not too sweet which was good; if Italian ice and snow had a baby it would be snow ice. Definitely recommend all of the items above. They make really good café mochas too. It is a hidden gem in a strip mall, casual and relaxing environment. Didn’t get five stars due to plastic cutlery and average service.

Best boba I’ve had while in Maryland. I recommend just the simple black milk tea. I drive all the way from Glen Burnie just to get up to this place to enjoy their snow desserts. I used to get snow when I lived in Hawaii, and this place ranks up there in comparison of quality. I do wish they had more snow flavors available. How to describe snow? The posters in Hawaii used to say, «It’s not ice cream, it’s not shave ice, it’s SNOW!» I would compare it to frozen cotton candy. :) Layered, light, and a lot less heavy in your hands and spoon than you’d expect. Their bathroom is also nice, though the seating area in the back is usually taken over with some goofy youth that’re friends with one of the girls that works there.

I love this place for its waffles — not your typical fluffy waffle, but one that has a chewy texture and a sweet note. I’ve had their waffles plain as well as with the jalapeño chicken. I was concerned that the sweet taste would not work well with the chicken, but it ended up being a nice sweet-savory combo. The chicken itself was ok — lightly battered, and had decent taste. I’ve also gotten a couple of the sandwiches here, and both were good. I like how they fry the bread so that it’s crispy, and the veggies and meat that go into the sandwiches always taste fresh. I wasn’t as impressed with their waffle combo, which came with sausage and cheesy eggs, neither of which I particularly liked. The sausage tasted bland and seemed to be store bought, and I thought the dish used too much cheese. Service is ok. When they get busy, the service is a little slow, but the servers have always been nice.

This place is honestly amazing, a hidden gem in Ellicott City! I love ice cream and to combine breakfast with dessert is pure genius and filling! I would never think to combine the two. Although they only give one waffle it is actually filling and the waffles are very tasteful themselves. I purchased the scrambled egg with waffle and vanilla gelato on top. This came with a very tasty waffle(the batter was specially made), a pure vanilla bean ice cream scoop, scrambled eggs, and fresh bananas and fruit on the side. There was no need for syrup since the gelato provided the sweet liquid topping substituting as syrup. Along with the food being amazing the place itself was beautiful, it was set up as an old town café, with a fireplace and an option of being able to take a picture and hang it up. This place was very lovely! I wish it was in a more open location because it deserves to be known! Also, I recommend a table for outside seating… this place would be perfect for an outside social hour/brunch! I will be back!

I like Snow Café quite a lot. The«snow» is a cross between ice cream and shave ice, based on the Taiwanese«shaved snow ice,» which is fluffy and delicate in texture, but with flavor already infused into the ice. Snow Café’s snow ice isn’t as fluffy as the other places I’ve tried(particularly a place in Montgomery Mall that’s now closed), but Snow Café does their flavors and toppings quite well. My favorites are the mango and the volcano flavors, and they do a decent matcha snow ice as well. Snow Café also has waffles and other brunch-type items, and maybe the portions are a bit on the small side, but the food is good and very artistic looking. I’ve had some of their teas and hot chocolate — they’re pretty standard but they do have some more Korean-leaning flavors in addition to the regular stuff you’d find in a coffeeshop. This is definitely a place for a date, or a girls’ date, but I’ve been here with mixed groups as well. The space is small, so bringing a group of 6 – 10 people pretty much fills up the seating areas.

I’ve been to Snow Café twice in the past month, and will definitely be coming back regularly! I love them because their boba tea is amazing. It reminds me of my old favourite boba place when I lived in Hawaii. The boba are cooked to just the right texture, the perfect balance of soft and chewy. I ordered a mango fruit smoothie with bubbles the first time, and it tasted just like the fresh fruit smoothie from my old favourite boba place, too. That sweet taste of home is what brought me back the second time! But the second time, it was much colder and about to snow, so I switched it up and tried one of their hot drinks, a vanilla soy chai latte. It was amazing! My sister also ordered a hot honey ginger tea, which had a rich, spicy aroma. I know what I will order next time! The interior of Snow Café is adorable as well. I love the chalkboard wall with hand-drawn frames, decorations, and mini cheki/polaroid pictures on the walls. The lucite chairs make it very hip and trendy. There’s also a seating area around the corner that almost looks like an outdoor café. I love Snow Café so much, and I haven’t even tried their Snow, lunches, or any of their amazing-looking desserts! I see myself coming here a lot more… after my diet, haha.

Still come here every so often! Snow ice is fluffy/soft and delicious. All the flavors are great! The jalepeno chicken and waffle might be my favorite waffle. But the sweet waffles are tasty as well. I also enjoy the taro and green tea lattes. They’re very yummy. They also have various gelato flavors you can get alone or with a waffle, you can also taste them! Just ask! The staff is friendly and the décor is the cutest! I just love coming here. They also have a stamp card for every time you buy snow ice. My last review stated that they put the«single» size snow in to go cups, but they’ve changed it! They’re now nicely presented on plates! Big thumbs up!

I like this place even more now that the defunct internet café is gone. Even nicer is that the waffles are still there, and the choices are better than ever. The guy who runs the place is really nice, and always takes the time to prepare orders properly and with what seems to be a genuine smile. I really like the gaufres liege(yeast-batter waffles). Now, they’re available with Nutella, sliced banana and toasted walnuts, strawberries with a dollop of whipped cream, with a bit of hot fudge and powdered sugar, or topped with a scoop of one of several flavors of gelato. And they’re an affordable little treat, running about $ 5 for most of the topped versions, $ 3 for plain, and $ 7ish for gelato. The tea selection’s a lot better, too. What was previously a couple of containers of herbals focused toward a very Korean palate has expanded to include Republic of Tea varieties. Once the weather warms up, the snow ice is worth a trip too. Flavored milk is frozen into blocks and then shaved like Hawaiian shave ice. The main flavor’s already in the frozen mix, so it doesn’t get watered down. It stays a fluffy and slightly creamy texture. They’ve got sandwiches for breakfast and lunch, too. It’s a nice little place that deserves your business. Especially for those waffles!

Decided to visit for a friend date. From the outside, does not look glamorous by any means, but it is cute little café on the inside. They offer anything ranging from tea/coffee to smoothies to sandwiches, but their highlight would be their snow ice. They have some pre-made flavors(regular size is $ 5) with predetermined ice and toppings. You can also opt to make your own(pick 2 or 3 toppings and ice of your own choosing). We went with the Matcha snow ice, which is basically green tea snow ice with cereal flakes/mochi/banana as the pre-determined toppings. The consistency was like snow(I actually liked it better than snowbots); light and fluffy, not too sweet, with hint of green tea). The mochi was good, but I did not like the flake/banana pairing as much — regretted not choosing my own toppings. The atmosphere is very friendly and warm. Definitely a place that I could see myself studying in or just having a nice friend date in.

I absolutely LOVE this place! Usually my go-to dessert spot in the area :) This is where I fell in love with snow ice for the first time haha. I usually just get the mango snow/shaved ice and it’s just PERFECT! Sooooo yummy and flavorful with real mangoes and syrup! I always ask for Mochi as an extra topping :) their waffles are delicious as well!!! If you’re ever in the area, I would highly recommend checking this place out :) Small cozy and quiet atmosphere where you can grab yummy dessert and chill with friends! Parking is very limited though

My boyfriend & I tried our first snow ice here! We drove here right after I woke up from a nap craving for this highly talked about dessert! We got the«Volcano» and it was delicious! The fresh strawberries were perfectly with the surprisedly, super light dessert! We got a single serving to share because we weren’t sure if we would like it, it was just enough to feel satisfied(but not full, obviously). Next time, I think I will get my own dessert, since my boyfriend likes to eat the majority of everything we share. The only reason I don’t give this place a 5 stars rating is because I haven’t tried snow ice elsewhere so I can’t compare. But based on this experience alone, it was the right choice to come to ‘Snow Café’ & pop my snow ice cherry!

I absolutely love this place! I have only had the gelato but omg the triple chocolate gelato is SO very good! The best gelato I’ve ever had and I got it in an ice cream cone and the cone was fresh and not at all stale, like they can be at some dessert places. My fiancé ordered the coffee snow which is loved! He said it was the best dessert he’s ever had. If you like coffee I guess this is right up your alley. I’m not a huge coffee fan but I do like the mochi. Mochi = yum . There are quite a few things I want to try there still. It all looks so tasty. Also, the staff is so friendly and the place is super cute. Give it a try, it’s totally worth it!

Have you had snow yet, like legit you can eat snow? Snow is cold, creamy, and smooth. This refreshing treat is great plain or with toppings! Snow Café offers waffles, $ 3.50 Breakfast sandwiches, bubble tea, and coffee! Let’s not forgot the gelato. The café itself is cute and homey, I could totally see coming here to work on things or meeting friends. There is a lot of seating and things to look at on the walls. The«christmas» decorations are fun and add to the homey feel, makes me want a warm beverage too! Really enjoyed checking out this café and will be back for the chai, gelato, and waffles!

Stopped in here after dinner for a quick«something sweet.» We were nicely surprised to see the variety of flavors and options for sweets. This café is so cute and well put together. Dessert: waffle topped with strawberries, bananas, scoop of chocolate gelato, whipped cream, and a chocolate drizzle. The waffle had a light crisp to the outer edges, but was soft and fluffy on the inside… not to mention the fact that it was freshly made(took ~10min to get my order, but worth the wait!). It went well with the fruit and gelato. Service: Very informative and offered helpful suggestions since we were newbies. Would definitely come here again… It’s a really cute date spot! Saw what looked to be college kids working on a group project, so I’m thinking that there may be free wi-fi. If not, it’s definitely college-student and family friendly!

My girlfriend begs me to take her here atleast once every other week for their waffles & gelato combo. I’m not a huge fan of waffles, but I must admit that they make a very delicious dessert out of it. Tried their bubble tea once though and it lacked flavor and was mostly ice– definitely not worth buying. But their waffle/gelato combo is so good I won’t even take a star off for it. The café itself is kept very clean and tidy. It’s a fairly small café so it can get crowded pretty easily, but I’ve never came in when it was busy. I think everyone should at least try this place once.
