Great service and food. Greek Gyro was huge, interesting twist on slaw with apples. Grilled cheese, chicken panini and turkey both very good, salads fresh and plentiful. Freshly shaved roast beef great too. Nice place for a quick, fresh, healthy lunch!

Had a great lunch here with folks with gluten allergy, lactose intolerance, an eight-year-old, and two toddlers. Staff were knowledgeable and accommodating. There were even wooden games on the table that we played while we waited. Lunch was delicious, service was friendly and prompt. Small dining room, but we sat right down. Porch is surrounded by hanging flowers– beautiful! This sandwich spot exceeded expectations!

If this bistro is any indication of our entire weekend we are bound to have a great experience! We were in for just the weekend and this was a great place to grab a quick lunch. The staff was unbelievably kind and accommodating, and the food was great as well! Great options for vegans and vegetarians as well. Highly recommend for anyone who makes their way downtown Ellijay.

Had a bowl of the best potato soup i think ive ever ate. It was so good we went back a few days later and again my expectations were more than blown away. The food is amazing and so fresh. I highly recommend this place.

An amazing place! My expectations were blown away by this hidden little gem. The sandwiches were delicious and well made, and they didn’t skip on the portions. The apple cabbage slaw was unexpectedly tasty, just like everything else we ordered. The staff was friendly and polite, not to mention attentive. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. They even allow dogs on the back porch, which I’d love to take advantage of one day. I’ll definitely be returning here — and I’m eager to try their desserts.

OH, I’LLBEBACK! This is a cute little restaurant that specializes in sandwiches. However, they are trying a breakfast menu so we thought that we would check them out. They have a list of items available and you can select three items for $ 5 or choose other available items such as a breakfast wrap. My hubby chose the breakfast wrap which was really good. I chose scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausage. Overall, my meal was unseasoned and the potatoes and sausage were too greasy. I was able to remove some of the oil and add seasoning but I just prefer to have my meal delivered«on point». If they simply tweak a couple of items, this restaurant will be a nice option for a quick and casual breakfast. The people who work here are great and it was just a pleasure hanging out and talking with them. The employee who took our order was from St. Louis and was sharing his story which was very interesting. The space is small, but cozy and comfortable. You simply walk up to the counter, place your order and pick it up when it is ready. Simple, easy and the perfect way to get a quick start on your day. Yes, they have a back porch and it will be the perfect place to enjoy a delicious sandwich on a warm and sunny day.

Cute quaint place we grabbed a late lunch today. Our group had the bistro salad, ham and Gouda panini, pastrami sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup… all super tasty. Very friendly staff.

Found it tucked away but we’ll worth it. The tortilla cheese soup was heavenly! The owners were really nice and food was fresh and tasty. An Ellijay treasure.

Spent time with friends who live nearby! Had lunch here and everything was fabulous! If you order a sandwich on gluten free bread, they grill it on a separate grill. Service was exceptional and the food was too. Food choices were numerous. Everything from soup to paninis to gyros. A great find!

My wife and I got married in Ellijay last fall. So we took a trip back up to the mountains to go hiking at the Bear Creek Loop trail. Afterwards we stopped in town to grab lunch. We decided to give this place a try. The menu looked good. When we walked in we knew we were at the right place. It is a great little sandwich shop with lots of amazing extras. The inside is decorated with local art and has that small town charm feel. We met the owner who was very nice and went out of his way to enjoy all his customers were happy and enjoying their freshly prepared meals. If you are hungry when you walk by, don’t pass them up. Stop in and try the Roast Beef sandwich. You won’t be disappointed.

I knew it would be good when we walked in the door and smelled fresh toasted bread! The menu is great and a variety of breads and cheeses for your sandwich or panini. They make homemade desserts and today is peach cobbler and bread pudding. They sell different cake mixes and bread mixes. I like they are hooked to the antique mall. The staff is very friendly. I like the fact that they have a decent amount of vegetarian options. Now that I’ve gone back to this lifestyle places like this are great to find.

This may be the best café in GA. They got Batdorff n’ Bronson beans(the Dancing Goats roasters) and they know how to use them. That’s good enough for at least four stars. The service is friendly, the vibe is hospitable, there’s lots of comfortable seating, there’s excellent pastries and entrées, and it’s all in a quaint town square where you’d expect percolated Yuban.

We visited Back porch bistro because they were one of the ONLY restaurants open on Sunday in downtown Ellijay. The restaurant is on the backside of an antique store but has its own entrance and parking lot. Menu is mostly sandwiches, paninis, salads and soups, but they also have a small Greek menu. We ordered a custom turkey sandwich w/soup and a Greek Gyro. I was thrilled with my sammy– fresh, delicious and inexpensive. My soup came out wrong(I ordered a different one) but we decided to just eat it and it was not very good. The soup had a syrup consistency and looked and tasted like it came from a can… definitely didn’t like that one. My husband LOVED his gyro. Definitely a decent little lunch stop! One complaint: the owner was a little hard on his cashier in front of customers. She appeared to be a new hire and in the process of training and he was a too stern and it was made us(and other customers) a little uncomfortable. I would recommend he watch his tone and dialogue with employees, especially in front of customers.
