Ordered a meat lovers original and a thin veggie, loved the pizza. A lot of toppings on the meat lovers. Pizzarelli’s has a great thing going. Pizza’s tasted very good, veggie was awesome and was not heavy. We picked up and they had the pizza’s ready.

Good pizza. Inconsistent in cooking between our pizzas. Pepperoni great. Veggie not cooked enough. Crust soggy and wet. Thought an extra large would be more filling. 9 pieces not enough. Staff great. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.

We ordered the Chicago deep dish. It was a good pizza but since they don’t put the sauce on top it isn’t quite the Chicago deep dish I like. Pizza had good flavor just didn’t quite hit my craving for Chicago deep dish.

New York Style pizza that’s as close to NY as you’re going to get without going. I like plain cheese, TYVM. My son likes the meatball, and it’s good too. Sandwiches and salads are solid. Delivery is pretty fast, too. Waffling on the fifth star, but depending on the day, it could happen. :)

Darn you, Husband’s coworker, who recommended this place! I was perfectly happy eating at the little pizza joint that was 4 minutes from my house until you came along… Seriously, the worst thing about this place is that it is a 20 minute drive each way from my house. The best thing about the place is the pizza(duh). They offer a deep dish pizza that Husband and Teen 2 like, and a NY style hand tossed that I’m fond of. They use real cheese(meaning not Provel) — in fact, they are very proud of the brand of cheese that they use and it is a tasty cheese. They also seem to have more than one kind of sausage — the deep dish is usually with crumbled sausage, and my NY style comes out with a sliced sausage. I like the sliced sausage — i don’t like big hunks of sausage on a pizza and the slices add a yummy flavor without a mouthful of sausage and grease. Their crust has just the hint of salt that I like, and their sauce has a savory flavor that I crave. I also like the fact that its a small business and the owner seems to enjoy getting to know his customers. We ate in one time and watched the interactions. I think I’ll be making the drive more often than not when I want pizza.

Pretty sure I will never get an authentic Chicago deep dish pizza in STL. Given that I am resigning myself to this fate I should probably state that this place makes a very good thick crust pizza. Really more of a pizza pie than most places I’ve tried in the area. Sausage was nice and flavorful. I especially appreciated how savory their Italian sausage was in the pizza. Nice fennel seed taste — it really made the flavors pop. Not sure what they are doing differently with their cheese but it works. There was a certain flavor fullness that is so often missing with other mozzarella products. I’m not sure if richness is the right term but the flavor is great and I loved pulling a piece of pizza off the platter and stretching a two foot long string of cheese along with it. Sauce — no pizza is worth eating if the sauce resembles catsup. Tomatoes are not always the most flavorful ingredients so they require some seasoning to bring the flavor up to par. This seems to be lost on most of the STL flat pizza places but Pizzarelli’s gets it — add seasoning to your sauce to make your pizza better. Their version is very savory and flavorful. Good crust — great sausage, cheese and sauce. This place is a winner!

In my opinion, it is the best hand tossed pizza in town. The two slice lunch special with a drink is a good deal and usually pretty quick, not to mention great tasting. It is good enough that I go to Pizzarelli’s nearly every week, need I say more.

I needed to update this review for Pizzarelli’s. We had previously narrowed our West County pizza choices down to Stefanina’s and Pizzarelli’s. Ms T and I now think Pizzarelli’s is the clear winner. We don’t get pizza as often as we would like, so when we do we don’t want to experiment and court disappointment. We are set on the Chicago thin style. Our standard is Italian sausage and green olives. Pizzarelli’s uses the quality of cheese that we have been looking for. We ask for it well-done, so that the cheese is baked a little brown, not just melted. Our only complaint(earlier) was that the sausage appeared to be sliced from a block, like gyro meat. We really want the crumbled bulk sausage. Now I am happy to report that the last two pizzas we ordered had very good crumbled sausage with great garlic and fennel flavor. I want to commend Pizzarelli’s for making that change. This really deserves recognition. I am now going five stars. It is perfect for our tastes.

I can only base my review on the cheesy bacon fries lol. Seriously the best ever and the portion is huge for the price($ 5) They are so good, we eat here at least 2 – 3 times a week(they probably think we are crazy). It’s literally across the street from us so it’s easy. I forgot I’ve had the Philly cheesesteak too. It’s pretty good, the only suggestion id make is grilling the onions and peppers or something. They aren’t cooked and are freshly cut so it tastes weird. I usually get it without them. The only complaints i have is time and business hours. They say it’s ready in 20 and my fiancé gets there and it takes yet another 20 to be done(I think they throw it in once he gets there honestly– he says he always sees em start on it when he arrives). Also they have lunch specials from 11 – 3 but the place doesn’t open til 4 except for on Fridays so I find that odd. But because the fries are to die for and my fiancé likes going in and talking to the college kids, it’s 5 stars from me!

Best Pizza in Saint louis Metro area that I could find!!! I lived in St. Louis for for over 30 years and this is by far the best most authentic NY style pizza in the city or metro area. Now, its not fancy, and its not classy, but it gets its 5 stars from quality of the food alone. Take out or eat in, but dont think your getting full service here. Order your pia and fend for yourself. BUT it will be great food no matter what!

If you like NY style pizza, this is the best in West County. The crust is as close as you’ll come to the real deal. You can tell they use fresh ingredients like they say. The deep dish is outstanding.

Average! Everything about this place screams average. The only thing worse than the pizza was how run down the interior was. Staff was not helpful and looked like wannabe hipsters, unshaven, piercings galore, and just messy looking. Pizza was soggy by the time we got it home, 20 minutes later. Lots of toppings, but crust was bland and sausage was just mediocre. If we hadn’t bought a Groupon, we wouldn’t have even bothered. We certainly will not return. Even average might warrant a second trip, but nothing here tells me anything could be better than simply just average.

As far as NY pizza goes, this was decent. I still need to try other places(for ex. La pizza) to compare. The pizza itself was good, not great. Just the right amount of that grease pooled on my pepperoni to make me eat it in my car instead of waiting til I got home! The one thing I really disliked was the service. I got there around 11:15(it opens at 11) and it definitely looked like the place was closed. Waited 5 minutes, then left. Got home, waited until 11:30, gave them a call, and they picked up! I politely informed them I was there quarter past 11 and no one was there. The guy replied«Yea well we’re here now.» No apology, nothing– in fact downright surly about it. Went back since it was only a 5 min drive and I was craving pizza. Saw two sleepy teenage guys who looked like they just rolled outta bed. The guy who took my order didn’t even say hi or look at me. When he gave me my soda, it had overflowed and soda was all over the outside of my cup. Look, I’m all for teenagers working and earning their own money, and everyone runs late once in a while, but have a good attitude about it instead of disregarding your customers. It’s a shame because the pizza was yummy, but the service left a bad aftertaste.

Ordered a vegetable pizza, chicken wings, cheese garlic bread, salad and a pepperoni pizza. Tried them out because of Groupon and boy where they swamped. Despite being so busy they handled it all pretty well and my pick up order was only a few minutes off. This was for a small family gathering and we agreed we liked all the food pretty well but the pizza itself was no standout. The salad was very a very good mix, ate it all. The chicken wings were very good, worth ordering and the cheese garlic bread was just how I like it, soft and crispy with a good cheese garlic balance. So overall it’s a decent local place but not a place I would go out of my way for.

Oh, my-my, my-my. They use Mozzarella, and I ordered double cheese. Holy cow perfection! I had a Groupon for a large three-topping pizza, wings and a chef salad. I went Saturday to get a carryout. Inside, this place is small — probably 7 or 8 tables. I ordered at the counter, then sat and waited for the food. I ordered a half-and-half pizza: one side double cheese and pepperoni; one side double cheese, sausage and mushrooms. For the wings, I don’t really like hot wings that much, so he suggested plain, then gave me containers of hot, bleu cheese and ranch. What a great way to accommodate a wimp! Dressing for the chef salad was bleu cheese. Now I have to say it probably was a large garden salad, ’cause there’s no chef salad on the menu. But, whatever! While I was waiting and reading my book, many phone calls came in for delivery, and numerous folks came in to order. Food delivered to my table all wrapped up and ready to go home. I could absolutely not STAND the pizza aroma, and tried to snag a piece out of the box before I started the engine. It was soooo hot, it burned my fingers. But I tried three or four times. I just couldn’t let that piece be – all gooey and runny cheese everywhere. Absolutely spectacular! And that was on the pepperoni side(my son’s side), and I don’t like pepperoni. Well, I think I don’t! I finally got home and carried my treasures into the house. Promptly took two pieces of «my» side of the pizza and dissolved in yeasty doughy, gooey cheese, fresh mushroom and fabulous sausage deliciousness. Two more meals of pizza. The wings were two meals. Hefty-sized wings with lots of meat and good flavor, cooked well and didn’t shrivel up in the microwave. I did skip the hot sauce, but the Bleu cheese and ranch were tasty dipping sauces. The large garden salad was croutons, pepperoni, black olives, carrot, tomato and green pepper. I ditched the croutons. The Bleu cheese dressing was sufficient for the size of this large salad. They gave me two containers I did a little cheater and added some fresh-oven-baked rare roast beef(my own), cocktail tomatoes and sliced green olives to the salad. And it lasted two lunch meals. So that made 7 meals for me. And I believe my son ate his half of the pizza in one sitting. This was a 50% off Groupon. Man alive, did I get a delicious bargain. And, I guess I like pepperoni now, when it’s from Pizzarelli’s. And that Mozzarella on the pizza. Mmmmmm, gooey, tasty food group. Mozzarella is low-fat, right?

This place had great promise when the new owner took over, but if you ever have a chance to sit down and eat at the tables you may never go back and it has nothing to do with the pizza which is good, but has declined in quality and taste. 1. Employees were wiping their hands on their filthy clothes, no aprons, and pants that were hanging far below their waists. Only thing holding them up was the belts. And the tan pants were so dirty that I have seen homeless people with better hygiene. 2. One of the employees had a hair issue and was constantly wiping his hands through his greasy hair, then went right back to picking up pizza dough balls without missing a beat. Really enjoyed watching him wipe his nose with his shirt too. Ever hear of a hair net or a hat? Totally disgusting. 3. Watched him go from making the greasy hair pizza dough to answering the phone, touching the computers, then handled the food again in the oven, and so on. It was nauseating to watch. 4. Take a look at the filthy ceiling tiles, tables held up with napkins, and black grime that spread the length of the partition wall along the floor. The tables had sticky soda spots all over them too. It doesn’t take much effort to fix this, but maybe the owner only cares about delivery since this is definitely not a place I would ever eat in or get delivery again. The owner should wake up, get the crew to do a complete cleaning of the place, and teach everyone personal hygiene. This is a serious health violation.
