Forest Hills, NY
TSA agents and other staff always have a smile. Their security is tighter than many major huge airports! It was under construction last summer, and flying in this summer I have to say I miss the old tiny airport! Too big! Too modern! I guess I’ll just have to adjust. I do miss US Air. It’s a pain having to book 2 different airlines to get to Bar Harbor from NYC. If they ever have direct flights from NYC, that would make me extremely happy!

This is a great little airport close to home. Going through security is a snap just because so few people are flying through here.
Love flying Cape Air from Bar Harbor to Boston with its flight connections to the rest of the civilized world.

It gets 4 stars because its so small you don’t have to get there an hour and half early to get through security: D Its still an airport so I cant imagine 5 stars for any of them!
Its a small local resource and the staff are polite and customer oriented. I would have no issue flying into this airport again. During the summer the local Island Explorer bus service picks up and drops off here for free from the Bar Harbor Village Green (Campgrounds Route). Saves you a $ 35 cab ride if you don’t have someone picking you up.
