The absolute worse Dunkin donuts. Beyond me why the board of health lets them stay open

I ordered a small latte and paid $ 3, you think the girl taking my order could have told me about the medium latte for $ 1.99? The latte was good, but the girl behind the counter could use some people skills.

I often stop at this particular Dunkin Donuts for a quick bite. I always, always get the same things: Either an egg white flatbread sandwich, or a ham egg and cheese on an English muffin. I get a good view to watch them while they make my food, and that’s something I appreciate. Never had any bad experiences and the employees have always been very friendly and helpful.

Now I’ve reviewed a good deal of establishments and a number of them have been Dunkin’ Donuts, so I feel I’m more than qualified to say THISWASTHESINGLEWORSTDUNKIN’ DONUTSEXPERIENCE I’VEEVERHAD! This particular DD is located all the way at the end of a hallway on the second floor of the Queens Center mall, in the building where Macy’s is. It’s one of those DD/Baskin Robbins combos with just a counter. Funny thing is is that as I stepped up to the counter, I felt like something was very wrong — and from what I’m about to share, you’ll know I was right. I ordered, like I’ve been doing a lot lately, an «Iced Carmel Latte Lite» with light ice. Before I get into it, here’s the description of an iced latte lite according to the DD website: «Iced Latte Lite — Lighten up with a Dunkin’ Donuts Latte Lite! Enjoy the rich taste of espresso combined with skim milk and sugar substitute. It’s a delicious choice without the guilt.» The person to whom I said my order wasn’t the person making my drink, who, for all those of you out there(including this particular franchise’s owner and the corporation) should know, is called RITY. As Rity filled the cup with ice(step 1 of the drink making process), she filled it to the brim. I kindly asked for less ice — and she shook out a few cubes(few would mean 3, right?). I asked for less, and then again asked for less, and then again asked for less… you get the point. Well, Rity let me know that this wasn’t permitted — that they weren’t «allowed»(yes, she said«allowed») to put not much ice in because«then they have to use more milk». I let Rity know that I’d never been given a problem before, nor had I ever heard such a thing. Dear reader, I should’ve «known when to fold ‘em»…but silly me, I give people the benefit of the doubt. Rity finished making my drink — putting in syrup, making the latte part, and then filling it with milk. As I want to make sure that my lattes are light, ie made with skim milk, I asked if the drink was made with skim. Rity told me it wasn’t made with skim milk because according to her, I didn’t ask for it. I told her I ordered an «iced carmel latte lite” — and she said that means light and sweet, not with skim milk. I was shocked. Again, I stated I ordered an «iced carmel latte lite” — and again, Rity said that that meant light and sweet — it didn’t mean skim milk. I told her that this was ridiculous — that this was the single worst experience I’d ever had at a Dunkin’ Donuts — that I’d never heard such things before — -that first she gave me a hard time about the ice and now I had to say«skim milk» for a «latte lite». I then asked for my money back and Rity said«no». I again said I’d like my money back and that this was absolutely ridiculous — that she was arguing over a drink. Then Rity said she’d make the drink again for me and I again stated I just wanted my money back. Well Rity wasn’t happy with me, which is fine cause I wasn’t happy either — and asked the person who rang me up what the total was. $ 4.86. Well Rity goes to refund my money, opens the register and says«$ 4.79″ — “Um, I thought it was $ 4.86?» Ready to go another round, Rity looked at my receipt and had to acquiesce – «$ 4.86» she said as she handed me my money. I went to the DD right outside the mall and had a lovely staff member wait on me. I paid $ 4.60 for an iced carmel latte lite, and Rity, they were allowed to make it with a little bit of ice and it comes WITH skim milk — maybe you want to let them know they’re doing it wrong. NY Department of Health Point Violation: 15 and with MICE!
