This is almost the ideal cigar shop/lounge. They have a decent selection, the guy at the counter is very nice and polite, the lounge area is super comfortable. It feels like your buddy’s basement on poker night. They let you borrow a cutter and a lighter so you can get smokin’ right away. I’ll be coming back here for sure.

Very convenient and had my hookah needs satisfied if you’re not an avid cigarette smoker!

«Where everybody knows your name.» Elmhurst Cigar a friendly place to kick back when you need to get out of the house, smoke a cigar and watch some cable sports. Good selection and monthly promotions. Nice place just to hang.

Elmhurst Cigar is the Epitome of Cool. The Rat Pack, Poker Table, overstuffed Couches and free WiFi. It’s the perfect place for smokers to come in and enjoy a nice cigar. He has a well rounded selection of cigars. Punches, Cohiba, CAO, Perdomo, Acid’s all kinds. Word on the street is that hookahs are available certain nights of the week for a nominal fee. Check in some night to see Elmhurst’s best kept secret.

You really feel like one of the boys in this intimate cigar lounge. Jim, the owner has pictures of the Rat Pack all around the place… with comfy leather chairs, TV and DVDs, what more can you ask for. Ask for Jim, he’ll be the one with the hat and smile on his face. Really makes you feel welcome to browse or relax in his free smoking lounge.

The coolest thing about the Elmhurst Cigar House is that its cool without trying, thus passing the true test. Located in downtown Elmhurst right across from the metra station I stumbled into this gem of a place with the hope of having a place to kill some time and score a smoke(not an easy feat with the IL smoking ban). Upon first glance it looks like every other cigar shop you’ve ever been a nice well rounded selection of cigars that line the walls and fill the aisles of small shop, cigarettes behind the counter with a respectable import selection. The standout is they have a hand rolled Honduran house blend that is a fine smoke and the owner is as knowledgeable as he is down to earth. But if that is as far as you go you miss the best part… the lounge. The Elmhurst Cigar House has got to have one of THECOOLEST lounges that I have ever seen. Most spots have a large floor space with chairs and couches clustered, but nothing this private. This is a real room… imagine being in a friends home, relaxing, and you might come close to the feel. From the overstuffed leather sofas and chairs, to the wall of Dean Martin/Rat Pack memorabilia to the poker table… this is the room every guy would have in his house if he could. Some of the special features are free wi-fi(I’ve seen guys using their lap tops), flat screen t. v with cable and dvd player, and a nice air filtration system that keeps the place from getting smoky. I just attended my first of their monthly cigar tasting and I had a blast. While the atmosphere is all guy, the owners along with the regulars and staff know how to treat a lady. They do a buy 3 get 1 free special, and for events there is usually food and such. But what really makes this place worth the trip is the lounge. Shoot I’m a girl and I want this room in my house… but until I can build my own dream room I will be a regular at the Elmhurst Smoke House, toking a stogie while listening as Sinatra sings«Fly Me to the Moon». Trust me it don’t get much better than that.
