Another exceptional visit with Dr. Greenfield and his outstanding staff. I truly appreciate the wisdom that Dr. Greenfield’s staff shares. Everyone is professional, yet personable which I find unique and refreshing. I don’t write a lot of online reviews and here I am writing positive reviews for Greenfield Optical 2 years in a row. Keep up the good work (please)!

I’ve been wearing glasses for 30 years and this was by far the best experience that I’ve ever had at the eye doctor. The exam was through and both the doctor and staff helped me pick out frames that fit my face. I’ve always struggled because my face shape is round so my previous glasses were always tight or looked too small. They showed which shapes and sizes would be best for me. It was a really personalized experience. I ended up with the perfect frames at a reasonable price. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

I actually found Dr. Greenfield on Unilocal,so I’m paying it forward. His office has taken very good care of me and my eyes. They office staff knows me by name and is very friendly. Gina, in particular, is great. Dr. Greenfield is thorough and knowledgeable, and I feel like I’m in good hands.

I wish I could give 0 stars! HORRIBLE! First, I was bringing my 7 year old daughter who has 100% insurance coverage to her 12:30 appointment. I ran a few minutes late, was parking the car and at 12:34 received a call to see where I was. Really? Wow! Not even 5mins late. Next, when I got there RUDE MARIA at the front desk told me she wasn’t covered, that I didn’t have insurance, and that it was simply a 20% discount. She then gave a little smirk and shoulder shrug and asked, «well is it your insurance or your husbands?» Like I’m a moron and don’t know what insurance we have or what benefits we have. Maybe you should have called me sometime last week when you noticed that our coverage wasn’t coming up what I told you. We spent over an hour trying to figure out why she wasn’t finding our coverage. My husband called our major medical after seeing the coverage on his end, and they found it on their end as well… BECAUSE WE HAVE 100% COVERAGE! After an hour and 1 call to major medical, 3 calls to my husband, and 3 calls to our vision insurance company, they finally «found» it. During that whole debacle, the front desk lady was not only rude, but had been receiving «messages» from Dr. GREENFIELD saying he wanted to reschedule my VERY PATIENT 7yr old. Mind you, 2 other people came in while I was there, 1 for contacts and 1 for glasses. NO ONE ELSE WAS IN THE OFFICE, and they had me reschedule after their own incompetence!!! I mean, REALLY??? I think not! Oh, and as for Dr. Greenfield, NEVER MET HIM. He never came out to introduce himself, apologize for any confusion, tell me why he needed to reschedule, NOTHING. I can’t imagine that he’s very popular with that kind of Dr./Patient service. Overall the WORST experience I’ve ever had at any kind of Dr. Office… or any other place in my life!

I’ve been going to Greenfield Optical for over 25 years. There have been a few years when my insurance «preferred» for me to go to a chain for eye care so I did but I have always come back to Dr. Greenfield. I have trust and confidence in this doctor.

The staff is wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. This was my first appointment but I had previously been there with my son and had the same experience. Dr. Greenfield was professional and caring. I would recommend Greenfield Optical.

The receptionists are rude over the phone and rude in person. The doctor rushes through his exam as if you are an annoyance to him. Then they hide extra charges for a contact fitting that they conveniently failed to mention even though the only reason I was there was to get a new contact prescription. Do not go here.

Excellent customer service and exam

Dr Greenfield was awesome. He explained many things about eye care that I hadn’t heard. He seems like he genuinely cares. Very friendly front desk staff. Very attentive. They made it incredibly easy. Thank you!

Great staff who really seem to care. Dr. Greenfield is courteous, professional and really knowledgable. I felt I was getting great eye care.

I love Greenfield Optical. Dr. Greenfield is extremely competent and professional; his staff is friendly and competent as well. The selection of glasses is great; I’m always asked where I bought my glasses and the technician who measured the glasses and fit them to my face was meticulous, which I really appreciate. I have been coming here for at least 10 years and have never had a bad experience.

Someone mentioned Dr. Greenfield is no-​nonsense, though I thought he was unbelievably unpleasant. While professional, he was extremely short and unpersonable. Even the receptionists rolled their eyes at him for how rude he was. Went in for an eye exam and contacts order. I ended up ordering contacts online for ½ the price. It was the most uncomfortable doctor visit I have ever had. Just moved into the Elmhurst area so I can’t recommend another place to go, but there has to be another practice out there…

My spouse and myself were treated horribly by Greenfield, the women whom work here were downright rude, apparently if your disabled or have to accept any type of medical assistance you are not treated respectfully here. Sad these women whom are employed here can not treat all people as the equals God created us to be. Check Greenfield’s better business bureau rating it is a c minus. The Dr was professional but no one else was. I do not care about candy at the front desk, I care about professionalism and respect to everyone.

I went to Greenfield Optical for the first time today and would easily recommend them. The customer service and professionalism, as mentioned in a below review, were great. The eye exam itself was very thorough and everyone I worked with was friendly and helpful.

The young south asian woman doctor here was easy to talk to… knew what she was doing, and offered advice at the end of my eye exam. She gave me tips on how to relieve eye strain and stuff like that. There is an okay selection of frames here. The receptionist ladies were friendly too.
