By far, the worst Jimmy Johns I have ever been to. Before they remodeled, their staff always said hello and someone was always at the register. Great service, good sandwiches. Now, you walk into their shop and not a word, usually the larger woman that works there is sitting down on her phone or talking to another employee and you have to just stand there and wait till she decides to come and take your order. I live down the street from them, but rarely ever go there because the one on Lake Streets food is so much fresher and the staff there also make it totally worth the extra drive time! The last time I walked in this location, the bigger woman was sitting with another smaller woman playing on the larger woman’s phone. No one in the place says a word. I go to the register and wait a while and a guy comes from the back and takes my order and starts making my sandwiches. Finally the big girl takes my order, says get your sandwiches over there and points to the other side of the counter and walks back to the other girl. I go there and wait and another employee who was watching the first one making my sandwiches takes them and sticks them out at me. I look at him wondering if there is a bag coming with them but he hands them to me and points down to napkins and says there is the napkins. So there are bags next to the napkins, I grab one, put my sandwiches in them and leave. I get home and the kids say the sandwiches smell weird. So I open the sandwiches and everything feels slimy… the meat, onions, and tomatoes! I call and ask for the manager… she immediately gets rude with me… I could not believe it!!! So I just hang up and throw the sandwiches out. I figure I will let my credit card company work it out with them! I have no intention of ever going to that location again. It’s too bad they spent money to update the store, but then put a child to manage the place(who turns out may actually be the large woman that took my order) who is the least professional person I have ever spoke to in a management position ever! I cannot imagine this location will stay in business much longer because someone will get violently ill from their sandwiches and get them shut down! If not, maybe the guy who wants me to get over being served spoiled food will buy enough subs to keep them in business until of course they get tired of him too and give him the Unilocalers Special… but then again if he hasnt noticed the rotted meat and vegetables on his sandwich… he may think the spooge was just extra mayonnaise… lol

They didn’t participate in customer appreciation day, so I assume they don’t appreciate your business. I wasted my time by driving over to get a $ 1 sub to find out that they are regular price. I’d recommend jersey mikes or chow if you’re in the Elmhurst area.

My office has been ordering from the Elmhurst location for the last 6 months without any issue or problem. Friendly service(on the phone) and awesome drivers, our office is out of the normal service zone and they still deliver within 10 mins after hanging up the phone. While I was searching for there number I ran across some of the Unilocal reviews for this location… and was SHOCKED! Some of these« Unilocaler» should watch the South Park episode and get over themselves, they deserve a «Yelper Special» #LoL

Recently ordered from this location for the second time. The first time was an awful expirience but I decided to try again. That was a bad idea. The sandwich not only took 40 min to get here(im accross the street) but it looked as if it had been made by a 4 year old. The bread was so stale I could hardly bite it but they claim to make fresh every day? The contents were more in the wrapper than the bread. Last time I order from this location 2 times was too many. I must say a jimmy johns sandwich made right is still one of my favorite meals. This location is not capable af making a consistant sandwich.

Delivery– not so freaky fast. But the drivers are nice. Tomatoes are always mushy and old. I’ve gotten charged for 2 pops when I ordered one. My boyfriend often asks for fewer condiments which arrive on the sandwhich anyway. Myself on the other hand like extra condiments so make sure you specify that… they’re greedy with onion and avo. I used to love jimmy johns but this location is really bad.

I’ve never really had a great experience from this specific location, but I’m a manger of a salon nearby and it’s hard to leave, and this is the only establishment that will deliver to my work. I placed an order today which included a Turkey Slim and BBQ chips. The gentleman taking the order asked, «would you like cheese?» And I stated, «no thank you, I want turkey ONLY.» FYI Turkey slim is turkey and bread. No condiments whatsoever. I placed the order at 1045AM but didn’t receive until 1125. freaky fast? No. Anyway, the order was wrong. They supplied me with a turkey tom which includes lettuce, tomato, and mayo which I am allergic to. When I called to say it was incorrect the person didn’t know what to do or how to handle the situation apparently as he said hold about 4 times. The delivery driver came back with a new sand which, but as I thanked him for fixing the order he said, «I’m trying to figure out if this was the guy taking the order or if you didn’t specify correctly and that’s why the order is incorrect.?» I was a little taken back but I proceeded to say«no I specifically said turkey SLIM.» I thought it was quite rude especially since I gave a very generous tip to the same driver although they are only 1 street light away. But as I stated, I’ve never really had a great experience at this location. Go to the one on York, you’ll be happy you did.

I recently made an online order from this location. In the past at other locations I would recieve my food within a half hour after the confirmation. 45 min after recieving the confirmation I call to the location and was treated so rudely. I was told to hold on and that they had more important orders to fill and that my order wasnt made yet. After about an hour I recieved my sandwich. The porn stash toteing deliver guy was extremely rude and un profesional. Because of the service at this location its likely I will never order jimmy johns again. Poor service and miss made sandwich that appeared to have been sent for a spin in a washing machine. Would much rather go to the sub store at north and york.

I’ve never truly had a nice experience at this location. The manager of the facility is rude, doesn’t say hello, just rushes to take your order. The tomatoes are often grainy and over ripe. If you have a few extra minutes to spare I would suggest driving to a different location.

I don’t often give anything other than a 5 star review, but this JJ’s location is not up to par with ANY other location. I order about once a week, the employees on the other line are typically rude and seek pre-occupied. Delivery is quick… because I am one block away. They have messed up my order 2 out of the past 5 times.

My wife ordered a sub from here when she was at work. When she received the food and drink there was a bug in the cup. She called the store and spoke to a manager. The manager at this location stated to her«There is nothing she can do. I cant control mother nature! The driver while walking out to his car or to the building probably had a bug fly into your cup. I can give you a credit or bring you a new sprite… We will never order from here again. Jersey Mikes for now on!!! You lost our business and our family’s!

Upon entering I was not greeted by anyone. In fact in order to even be looked at I had to greet and interrupt the girl cashiers story with a loud friendly Hello. She looked as though I was bothering her, she was clearly talking work gossip about another employee. It was rude. Every other JJs Ive gone to they are all very friendly and welcoming. She asked what I wanted and gave me the total. No thank you, didnt ask if I wanted a drink or anything else. She also answered the phone while I was there with a dull hello, I wonder if everyone is treated like this. The poor guy making the sandwich just looked uncomfortable the whole time. He was very nice, thanked me and the sandwich was good. Hes the only reason why I even gave two stars. I wish they were wearing name tags so I could properly call this girl out for bad customer service.

I generally read Unilocal to get an idea of what to order. But, in the case of Jimmy Johns, I don’t know what I was thinking. I already know what they have. I guess I was just interested to see what people thought of this location. The reviews are not good. So, I was expecting a bad experience, which fortunately, never came. The cashier was super friendly and the restaurant was clean. The Vito sandwich was good, but only because I requested hot peppers. Without them, it would have been pretty tasteless. Anyway, no one mentioned they have a small outdoor eating area, which was fairly nice, even though the music blasting. Good luck trying to eat indoors since there are only a few tables. I guess my only real complaint is that the restaurant is difficult to get to. You have to be going east on North Avenue or south on Route 83 otherwise you’re hanging a u-turn, which I’m never sure is legal. I suppose I should really know this, but I just try to avoid backtracking. As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. Follow me on Unilocal

This place is miserable. They never pick up their phone. Worst Jimmy John’s experience ever. Tried calling 4 different times first at noon then at 12:30 then at 1, then now just before 1:30. DONOTBOTHERGOINGTOTHISPLACE!

After the 50 Cent debacle I sent email to customer service and got a very nice reply. They said there should not have been a 50 Cent charge to have tomatoes on the side if the sandwiches supposed to come with tomatoes and that he would contact this specific Jimmy John’s owner and tell him so. I went back today and got the same old story, talked to the Jimmy John’s owner, and he was adamant that he had to charge $.50 even though I paid for a sandwich that included tomatoes because it cost extra have them on the side. He said it was his policy. I told him that I sometimes give some of my tomatoes to my son who likes tomatoes… He was ecstatic when he heard this. He said that’s exactly why they charge extra. Apparently it doesn’t matter that the cost of the tomatoes is already built into the price of my sandwich. I know this sounds ridiculous but it’s extremely frustrating and I will never go back. I recommend you do the same as this guy does not care about customer service and plenty of other places do.

Don’t eat here. Poor service, bad food and overall it’s a nasty spot. It should be turned into a Subway or burned to the ground. Go to the store on York Rd if you must.

I love Jimmy Johns, what more is there to say? I almost always get either the Pepe with hot peppers or the Vito, and I never deviate from those two options. This location wasn’t quite as «freaky fast» as others I’ve been to, but I saw that my sub was made with precision and care, because that’s important in preparing a sammich. They didn’t have Cherry Coke as many other JJ’s have had, just regular and diet. #firstworldproblems.

I ordered a sandwich for delivery. I had a scheduled time between 12 – 12:15pm. It was around 12:30 and I called the shop to check on the order. I’m first on hold for 2 minutes and had the line hang up on me. I call a second time and am put on hold for over 5 minutes. I’m told that the sandwich is out for delivery but he didn’t know how long it would take and could not contact the driver. He said they were short staffed and hung up the phone. again. I finally get my sandwich at 12:45p. No apologies or anything from the shop or driver. I’m completely upset at the level of service from this shop. I understand that times do get delayed but to wait over 30 minutes from my scheduled delivery time is absolutely ridiculous and to have a staff that doesn’t care about customer service is unacceptable.

It’s located only a mile from where I’m at and the two times I’ve ordered taken over an hour to get to me
