I like coming to this Joes Crabshack. The atmosphere is nice. Parking isn’t a problem, they have a parking lot. Although coming on the weekends, it gets crowded in here. The staff is very nice as well, they are always excited and eager to help. The food is awesome! They cook everything perfectly. I do recommend reserving a seat, they require 24 hour notice for that, that’s a little annoying.

First time at the Elmhurst location, we usually eat at Joe’s in Clearwater, Florida. The restaurant was clean, the staff were very friendly, nice to see smiling faces. Aaron, the General Manager, was professional and very personable. Kristina, our waitress, was fantastic. Such a good person, it was a pleasure to speak with her. Everyone seems to be happy working there, which you don’t see in many establishments. The food was great, we had a nice lunch. We chose lunch over dinner for Valentine’s Day, considering the crowd that will be there later. Please recognize this location for their excellent customer service, they deserve it. It leaves a priceless impression. Kudos to the Elmhurst Joe’s! We will surely return.

The food is tasty but the portions are small. There’s refills for sodas. The service was slow but the staff is friendly. Too many busboys very few waiters. The food is on the pricy side.

Joe’s crab is Joe’s crab! What can I say… Well it’s perfect for lunch or dinner with friends especially if you want to celebrate something but don’t want to party so much and just want to hang out and enjoy great conversation over good healthy tasty seafoods, and undeniably out of your diet routine then this is the place to be! because there is no day as non-cheat day when you come here lol Everyone is just happy as long as you’re not allergic to seafood. I encourage you to try different platter on the menu every visit. I would always recommend Joe’s Crab regardless what branch it is! Their service is always excellent and their food will always be satisfying. Enjoy your visit!

My review is for the server Robert on a Friday night. He was friendly and always checked on us. The food was mediocre compared to smaller Louisiana boil places I’ve been to. But Robert was the best server I’ve ever had anywhere. The drinks were amazing and will come back for them

OK, let me start by saying I am not a fan of these chain style restaurants. If I want seafood, I go get real seafood at a real seafood restaurant. With that being said… WOW! i was impressed. So my kids wanted to go to Joe’s crab shack after seeing their commercials. We went on a Wednesday and to our surprise, it was all you can eat snow crab legs Wednesday. I knew it will be something like Red Lobster, you order your first plate and then have to wait 30 – 45 minutes til your second plate of crabs but was I wrong!!! DEADWRONG!!! So I ordered the all you can eat crab legs and had the Ragin Cajun style. I will say, if garlic is your thing, this is the flavor for you. I liked it but it was a bit overwhelming with the garlic. so for my next all you can eat I asked for butter and garlic. Ok, so this is where i was wrong. I was expecting my 2nd serving to take a while but nope… my second helping of crabs came out within 5 mins piping hot. So i finished that within minutes and the waiter came by and asked if I was ready for more and I said yes. under 5 mins later, my 3rd serving was being delivered. This put me in a good mood and made my experience even more enjoyable. I went on to my 4th, 5th and 6th serving of crab legs with no issues. The wait staff was very friendly and tentative to me and my kids. Our server Leo deserves a pat on the back for making me a fan of this place. Thank you all for making my kids happy with the wonderful service and making me a fan of this place.

Joe’s Crab Shack was never my favorite restaurant. Last minute decision so we decided to stop by since we were in the neighborhood. The music was loud, lots of dancing going on that day. Service was slow, I got my meal before I even got my appetizers. The appetizers didn’t come until the last 20 min after I finished my meal(I ask the waiter about it twce). Even my bill was wrong, so I have to ask the manager to fix it. Tip: Don’t order any crab here, fish or steak are fine.

So as per popular demand I tried the Classic Sampler and i am glad I did! It was pretty good! For the main course I tried the red snapper-lobster with dirty rice and that was amazingggg! The place looked a bit bare and had a more industrial look and feel to it. Like the drinks on mason jars they can be strong. My waitress Moa was ultra friendly and checked on us few times. We got taken care of well. Service was on point! I would go back for sure! Oh my friend ordered the CJ steam pot dish it was a decent portion we both shared.

Thee BEST Joe’s I’ve ever been to. And I’ve been to many, all across the country. This the best one I’ve been to. Jade, our waitress, was sweet, patient, and very helpful. She never forgot anything we asked for, always checked on us, and brought us extras of everything. All the staff were friendly actually, so that was a plus. The food was AMAZING. I love seafood and I have eaten seafood across the country, including the South. This place was A1. From the apps, to the alcohol, down to the dessert, everything that came to the table was fulling and delicious. Aside from the long wait for a table when we came in(even though the restaurant was half empty) and the noise level(there was a Giants game on that night and a lot of folks were quite rowdy, but whatever) I’d still say this Joe’s was AWESOME. Deff coming back

Had the TKO punch, it was like drinking juice very yummy but not strong at all. I was looking for the alcohol kick half way down from the cup… Nothing. Had the sampler which was good, the cheese balls would be something I would come for by itself for some bar food. And the garlic muscles we good too, not overly cooked so it wasn’t chewy. I would come back again just for happy hour and some appetizers. I’m unsure about the seafoods, but I would give it a try.

I love Joes. My first experience was in a Colorodo Joe’s. Second in Minnesota and third in New York. All of my out of state experiences really were great. Harlem and Queens Center locations? Not so much. I believe part of it really is the employees. If people don’t want to be there serving you, you feel it. The food is always pretty much on the same level– cures my crab craving, sometimes leaving me wanting more. I can only speak for the steam-pots, that’s really all I order. The kids menu isn’t my picky toddlers favorite — but she is a huge fan of the paint your own crab dessert.

I am writing as a person with severe shrimp allergies. So they were really accommodating but my order had to be done over two times because of cross contamination. I’ve been patient enough to wait for over 45 minutes for my food.

NONONO! I live on Long Island, there are definitely better places to get crab and fish. Not sure why I came here. I always wanted to try this place. We were at the mall so we decided to give it a try. Well it was extremely loud in this location, I mean so loud we were yelling instead of talking. We were seated right away. I ordered a grilled shrimp with mango sauce entrée which included rice and vegetables. We shared a sampler appetizer. The sampler was okay but extremely greasy. Don’t even get me started on my entrée. Half of the plate was RICE! I shouldn’t have had that much rice. I had about 6 pieces of shrimp, and do you want to know what the mango sauce tastes like? I wouldn’t know because they gave me less than a dime size of mango… picture your pinky nail(I have small fingers). anyway it was pretty bad. The broccoli was overcooked as well. I paid 35 for rice…

This is my second time dining at this chain(not location) and I must say… the food was great — not not so much the service. I can be a bit of a prude but I am not rude, impatient or belittling so… in a nutshell, I was disappointed with the customer service at this particular location. PROS: — I was promptly seated without wait(after all, it was 2PM Saturday afternoon). — My food didn’t take too long to arrive; made 20 minutes after ordering(I ordered the classic steamed queen snow crab leg combo pot — $ 25) — The waitress was friendly and accommodating — at first. — The bathroom was very clean(big plus in my book) CONS: — The waitress checked on me once, after I received my food but never returned to see if I needed anything else. No one took away my finished entrée or asked me if I wanted dessert. The manager/lead in charge during that shift brought me the check after waiting almost 20 minutes. Mind you, I didn’t ask for the check, he just brought it on over. Not a good look. This is the only reason they didn’t receive 5 stars. — It was extremely cold. It was already breezy outside so I didn’t really get a break from the weather. Despite my waiting, I still left the waitress a $ 15% tip($ 5). One thing I am NOT is classless. I’d probably return again but I hope to have better service.

I would probably never ever come back to this spot, it was my first time having joes crab shack and it wasnt the best experience. I ordered the pot with the lobster claws and they forgot my claws after 40 minutes wait for the pot to come out they realized they forgot my claws… the waiter said he would put the order in and make sure i get my claws… an hour later i still havent gotten my claws and after I finished the rest of my pot and washed my hands and everything the waiter comes over and explains to me that he put in the order for the claws but some other waiter brought it to the wrong table and the other people just ate it cause they thought it was their… that ridiculous! and its been 1 hour and 40 minutes… 20 minutes later they bring me the claws… and they said they threw in extra… so i got 3 claws even thought my bowl was suppose to come with«multiple» claws to begin with according to description. this should definitely be taken into consideration for false advertisement(multiple should consist of more than one. my friend who ordered the same thing as me got 1 claw only. and if he knew it would only be one he probably wouldnt have ordered it) on top of it while we were eating the fire alarm goes off and our table is located outside the main restaurant and it was FREEZING! The manager came over and apologized which was nice and offered to take an appetizer off which is nice but the appetizer was $ 12.99 and they took off $ 11(how do you get the math wrong when the price is listed?) i dont know I would never pay that much for seafood at a restaurant with such inconsistent food. I would give zero stars if i could but I left the one star cause our waiter did try to explain. and we were one of the only tables with bibs(which was cute) I would have rather much them keep the claws and discount my bowl instead since it took 2 hours for 3 claws to come out… final thoughts… i would not recommend this place at all, my friends were nice and left $ 30 tips but i would NOT come back ever.

Came here to try for myself with out reading any reviews. Wednesday afternoon, walked in the door at 3pm for a late lunch, had a craving for crab legs. Was seated in a pretty much empty room, only 4 tables had guest, 5 with me. The hostess seated me and informed me that someone would be with me shortly. Analyzed the menu and made my choice, but as I looked around I realized that none of the waitresses were interested in taking my order. After 15 minutes I wasn’t angry, I was in awe in the lack of customer service. I wasn’t even offered a drink. After another 5 minutes of waiting and feeling invisible, I decided to walk out… I no one even realized I walked out. Horrible attention. I then read all the reviews and I have to agree with the other 1 star reviews.

I came to Joe’s for their $ 2 Tuesday. Their portions are small for the specials they offer. I came specifically for their Hurricane drink. Which was just okay, nothing that will make me want to come back just for that. A group of us ordered a round of drinks & apps. We all agreed that the Hurricane could’ve been stronger but what more can we really expect from a special that’s $ 2. Four Hurricanes later we started to feel a «buzz». Not much but enough for us to act silly & really have a good time. I ordered the Crab Nachos which lacked Crab Meat. Although it was good, I was upset that I didn’t taste any Crab. The Nachos were a huge portion that wasn’t included in the $ 2 special. The concept was great but lacked the one thing I was feining for. Due to the Nachos not being what I expected I sent the order back & asked for an order of the Great Balls of Fire. OMG if heaven was in a shape of a ball then that would be it. Eight yummy balls stuffed with a homemade Seafood concoction, Cream Cheese & Jalapeños that hit the spot like a home run.

Finally a Joe’s that’s close to home. Came in today with my friend and her daughter. Where a parking lot parking once stood is Joe’s Crab Shack, Olive Garden(my fav), and Longhorn Steakhouse. With these 3 restaurants and parking available for customers. Parking is minimal, My friend and I waited about 20 minutes for a parking spot. People were arguing and fighting for parking spots. Upon entering the restaurant your immediately greeted and asked for you cell phone number so you can be alerted when a table is available. It was pretty crowded and the wait for a table was about 30 minutes. Luckily we waited about 15 minutes. The staff were all nice and friendly. Our waitress was very nice and patient. My friend and I ordered a steam pot for entrees. She ordered Cajun and I opted for the Garlic & Herb, for an appetizer we ordered the sampler, we also ordered drinks. I had the strawberry peach sangria, which comes in a mason jar that’s yours to keep. The appetizer was a crab dip(which was good), tortilla chips, and calamari(I wasn’t a fan). When our entrees arrived they looked good but I was a bit disappointed in the taste. I ordered the classic steam pot that came with king crab legs, snow crab legs, corn on the cob, shrimp, whole baby potatoes and a sausage. I opted not to get the sausage and was given extra shrimp instead seasoned in Garlic & Herb. My food had no taste at all I tasted no garlic and no herb, I was very disappointed. I had to add salt and pepper to give my food some seasoning. My friend had her food seasoned with the Cajun, my her food taste much better. I just made the best of what I had. Overall my meal was okay and I’ll come again I just know not to get the garlic and herb seasoning. The price is fair for the amount of food you receive.
