When I entered this location, I immediately noticed the smell of rancid oil! I should have turned around immediately but I ordered food anyway; never order food where you smell rancid oil, it makes everything taste rancid not to mention it messes up your digestive system for days. Never, ever again!

I have been here a couple of times and every time I give them my coupon for the free chicken and biscuit they look at it like there is something wrong with it .If they do not want to accept the coupon do not ask us to take the survey. This is the worst Popeye’s I have been to. The cashiers need to be retrained.

I love this Popeyes! The chicken tenders are always so fresh. I always get the 3pc tenders and they always throw in an extra piece. Love the cole slaw and mashed potatoes.

The cashiers aren’t overly friendly the staff seems to be always looking for a fight when you question something. I guess it’s a cultural thing not my favorite Popeyes I only stop here in a pinch. Usually when I wasn’t near a Popeyes in the city before coming home from work.

Charged me extra $ 1.80 I was pissed because first off why? I ordered 3 piece combo — actually didn’t even want the drink could’ve saved myself $ 2 by getting just the chicken, side and biscuit which they didn’t tell me

I have always loved Popeyes in the past and usually go to the location closer to my house but I decided to give the one by Queens Mall a chance. Big Mistake! I ordered the much advertised Spicy Chicken Tenders Combo to go. By the time I got home and opened it I took a bite of raw undercooked chicken tenders. All 5 of them were raw and not cooked. So basically they made me pay $ 10.80 for a biscuit and mashed potatoes. I’ll never come to this dump ever again. So upset!

Amazing how this Popeye’s chicken is smaller than other Popeye’s I have visited. I ordered for takeout the box of chicken tenders, when I got home I discovered that some of the pieces were half the size of the other tenders. The box of just chicken also have very small drumstick and thigh pieces. Customer service is still bad; they like to whisper to me. What did you say? What did you say, can you repeat…

the worst Popeyes I’ve ever been to. if there were 0 stars I would give it. The chicken and wings were much smaller then other stores. There is definitely something wrong with the food. The prices for some reason are higher here(franchise is cheating?) and menu is not normal. Avoid this place !

10÷5÷15 They refuse to acknowledge the check in offer. His response was«we just don’t.» I said, «then don’t you think you should remove it from Unilocal?» He said, «yea I guess.» He’ll be slinging chicken for the rest of his life. Reach for the stars guy. Reach for the stars.

Popeye’s is my one fast food guilty pleasure. I’ve been to this location about 10 times since they’ve opened. THEYHAVEYETTOGIVEMETHECORRECTORDER. NOTONCE. Since i go so rarely, I don’t think to check my order before leaving. This last time I did, and who seemed to be one of the owner/managers, instead of apologizing, copped a serious attitude, like it was my fault(he put the order together). Note to Popeye’s management: some people speak Chinese. Assholes. Avoid like the plague. The food is suspect too.

Worst popeyes I have ever been :(first the person who took my order looked like a shift manager or something was talking to his friend without taking my order. Questionable order of chicken wings and tenders was prepared in two seconds and they’re very old and dry(I threw away after having a bite). Also I found an armpit /or pubic hair dropped from my food.

I came here for the first time and they are very helpful, love the chicken in Popeye’s especially the spicy one. I often order it with the mashed potatoes with gravy, really so delicious. I like this branch. It is clean and orderly. I happen to go to their restroom when I was there and it is very clean. I will come Back to this branch again.

Like other reviewers I like Popeye’s fried chicken, but the service of this location is abysmal. I ordered two combos with 4 pieces of fried chicken, all I asked was some honey mustard, and this Indian Sam guy refused to give honey mustard and had the audacity to berate and humiliate me in front other customers. Is this how chain stores treat customers? Unlike other fast food restaurants, Popeye’s at this location has always been stingy on giving out any condiments. I was not trying to get 1000000 honey mustards, all I want is a few honey mustard to dip and chicken, is that too much to ask? Sam said I would need to pay to get get it because they were not supposed to give any condiments if my order is not chicken nuggets. I am sorry, but if this is your store policy, you should at least posted it somewhere instead of yelling at me in front of all the customers. When I confronted Sam with the terrible services, he took the plate of food from me after I paid and slammed it on the inside counter and said would refund me. C’mon, I understand this is a fast food service location and I am in for a cheap food, but I am not expecting for an insult and disrespect. Management of Popeyes should really look into this store!!!

Worst place EVER. My son came in here to buy 8 pieces of chicken and they charged him $ 15.99. The cashier and the supervisor ripped off my son because they saw how young he is. I went back to question the supervisor about the pricing and all he could say is that if I buy 8 pieces of chicken now, he’ll charge me $ 9.99 for the 8 pieces. I looked at him and said, «Am I a dumb-f to buy more chicken after you ripped off my son?:

Came here this past weekend– had a craving for some fried chicken and hot sauce. The service here is usually pretty standard — not a lot of long lines when I’ve gone, usually enough cashiers open depending on volume of business, and cashiers are efficient. Not a lot of meandering or waiting around idly while customers get impatient on line. Either management runs a tight leash or they have streamlined who does what on the so called assembly line because things are quick! A definitely plus because you are super hungry when buying fast food and don’t want to wait, haha! Anyway, this was a good experience because the young girl was super sweet and friendly, and sometimes that’s rare to find! Normally I’m used to placing my order, without getting any smile, emotion, or even a grunt of acknowledgement from the cashier, so this was quite different. Even better that she suggested the 10 pc, which for some reason was significantly cheaper than the 12 pc order. We jumped on that. They give plenty of hot sauce and ketchup packets. Hot chicken, very fresh off of cooking, crispy skin/never soggy, and consistent fast service. Looks clean and organized inside, not messy or things strewn all over the tables. Parking lot for those who want to drive, but when it gets busy, make note that people park ANYWHERE. They don’t abide by any of the parking spaces. Oh, and they finally accept credit cards now. Before, early on when they opened they didn’t, and it was a deterrent from my eating there because I rarely carried cash. Guess enough people made a stink, woohoo!

I love Popeyes fried chicken and their sides. If you’ve read my previous Popeye reviews, you all know that I’m a sucker for fried food. So what is the reason for just 2 stars? Well, they don’t accept credit. Cash only! Seriously? They’re located off of Queens Blvd, across the street from Queens Center Mall, next to the Rock Church, next to what use to be St. John’s Hospital, next to Sears Auto Center, and you guys don’t take CREDIT?!? The Manager/owner is Asian who refuses to take credit because they wanna save a few pennies in their pockets. This location screams success! They have a parking lot, plenty of seating, it’s clean, and it’s literally the new Roy Rogers of this area! Long ago, Roy Rogers use to be where Sears Auto Center is today. The KFC on Queens Blvd in Elmhurst has been long gone and the only fried chicken fast food spots you can find in this area is just Popeyes, White Castle Church’s Chicken, and the KFC inside of Queens Center Mall’s Food Court. Out of those 3 choices, Popeyes is hands down the clear winner of fast food fried chicken wars in this neighborhood. Verdict — Please take credit, get with the program and stop being so damn asian.

1 star!!! How come you don’t take credit card? I never heard of a food chain not accepting credit cards. Something is very fishy about this place because of this. So, many other people are complaining about this place. I feel like they could be a front for something else. I know I will never come here again. :BATHROOMALERT: Pee in the street it is cleaner.

I regret nothing! fresh and delicious(though ungodly salty — like a Mack truck filled with sodium!), the service was hilarious(at least to me), and I’ll be damned if the waffle-battered chicken doesn’t hit the spot. for some reason, it’s cash only. you want health food? go somewhere else. you want crispy delicious fried chicken? Popeyes works.

I was so happy with this location. Read my previous review. But the management here is slacking big time. I work late hours and look forward to the fact that this Popeye’s advertises(and by advertise, I mean their hours of operation posted on the door) that it is open late. 12:30am on most nights, 1:00 am on Friday and Saturday. On one occasion I’ve pulled up at 12:00 am, and the store was closed. I asked an employee taking out trash why they were closed early, and he said it was the manager’s decision. They also apparently don’t have their full menu available at night as I’ve stopped in more than once asking for the strips, and they tell me they don’t have it. The trifecta of poor management was in full effect this past Sunday. I walk in at 11:30 pm and try to order the strips. The employee says they don’t have it because they are closing soon. Soon? I question him–«But you close in an hour, it says that on the door.» He replies that it’s a holiday. I know this is bogus because I’ve gone there multiple times i the past where they apparently close early on their own. There also was no sign anywhere stating holiday hours. Fine. No strips(as usual) and magical holiday hours. A new group of hungry customers arrive and he realizes I’m not going to be the only one. The restaurant was filled with people might I add. So he says to the new group, «Ok, let me help you. We only have number 3, 6, 8, 10, …(I’m making up numbers here, I don’t remember what they were) … And we’re out of biscuits.» They were out of biscuits. The one staple of their meals that include fried chicken. And they still don’t accept credit/debit cards. I’ll be back when they get it together.

Okay, I admit it, I love Popeyes Fried Chicken, spicy please. It’s my favorite fried chicken of all time. This location is brand spankin’ new. I realized I was speaking to the owner when I asked for the address. He seemed to be a really, really nice person. It’s mega clean here and there is some parking at this Popeye’s location. It’s located in a prime spot across from the Queens Center Mall. I can’t say more about this awesome place. It’s nice and shiny. I am totally going to come back here again and again. When we were visiting just the smell outside was so warm and inviting. Love that chicken from Popeyes!
