The worst customer service. I ordered one time and they took over an hour to deliver, I called them and they didn’t even apologize they just said it would be delivered soon after I waited over an hour. The second time I ordered it took them two hours to deliver. I called and they said the car broke down then they called me again asking for directions on how to get to my house. I gave her the address and she said she couldn’t find the house and hung up. Point is this place is a joke and has the worst customer service don’t waste your time.

Went in at 11:05am because they have advertised lunch specials frol 11am-4pm. They told me they are not serving lunch specials today because the line cook did not make it. The food is decent and sometimes good but when the line cook does not want to make lunch specials it shows a lack of management on the owners part. You can come but expect mediocre service.

This place is ok. The service is ok, the food is ok . They seem to purchase all the baked goods from somewhere else . Colombian baked goods should be fresh and not chewy and stale . The entrees are nothing Great. It’s take very long for food to come out. Ticket time should be no less than 5 – 9 mins . It seem to me they are short staffed and it trickles down to the management . I’ve worked in Bakeries and Spanish restaurants family run. This place just doesn’t have a good vibe or even inviting. Hopefully it will change in the future, for the time being this place is OK!

I frequent this place now that they started making fruit shakes. Parcha and yes add milk. I like anything with guava and cheese. They also have good empanadas. Their fridge is stocked with all sort of beverages. The rice shake(de avena) looks interesting but I have yet to try it out. This is one of my spots where I can always find a seat on a lazy afternoon. The loud television in the background and Spanish radio can be bothersome for some. But it did not bother me.

A Family owned business on a busy corner of Haspel and Grand Avenue. My bf lives around the corner so we would always come here for the beef empanadas. There are three varieties of the empanadas, Chicken, Beef and a puff pastry chicken as well. The beef patties are $ 1.50 and the chicken puff ones are $ 1.25. Really affordable empanadas and you get full after eating two. They also come with hot sauce to bring the empanadas to a whole new level of taste. There are a variety of pastries that the bakery offers. From chocolate cake, mousse, tarts, cannolis, and even flan. The Flan there is what I want to try the most, and I keep eying, but never got to try. There were other times where I also came here to try the meals. The Oxtail soup and the crunchy pig skin pork is a must order! Sadly after 2pm, I didn’t see any in the cabinet, two days in a row that I went.

Better Colombia baked goods could be found elsewhere. Wasn’t impressed and won’t come back, especially with prices that aren’t so wallet friendly considering the breads weren’t anything to run home about.

The place is ok, if you know the area you pretty much know all the bakery n restaurants around the area. Prices are higher then normal bakeries but then again its understandable that you need to pay rent. I personally go to a real Colombian bakery — Antioqueña Bakery near Newtown High School on Corona Ave. But most of the times Im too lazy to drive or walk there so I used to walk a block and half to this place. Its more like a International food since its not only Colombian — Has Italian, ecuadorian etc. dif. pastries. Negative things: 1. You ask for a eggs, cheese, on a bread(Oh you know I have to charge you seperate) 2. If you go there like at 1130 am, and ask for this,(Oh I have to charge you a $ 1.00 to turn the stove on since its past breakfast time) Like really, are you not cooking your«lunch» plates. 3. if you ask for like a «crazy» plate Ej: Eggs, bread, with american and white cheese, its like(you having that?) … with a face like really what do you care if Im paying for the service. 4. If you order«Colombian» breads like Pandebono-Pan de Yuca. after 12 .1pm… they are hard like a rock :(and musshyyy I though I was the only one to get charged $ 1.00 extra to turn the stove but no other local business have told me too. So now I rather go to the Deli up on grand and Calamus Pay less and get my breakfast, for me the wife and a coffee w daily news for the same price of just one :)

the beef empanada was decent. I didn’t like the pineapple stick, apple turnover, lace cookies, red and green leaves. I didn’t like their Italian bread either.

This place is a breath of fresh air. Finally a nice quiet little cute place for some coffee or pastries which is good. Some food is good and great if your hungry on the go or quick easy dinner. Don’t expect the 4 star dinner or super diner meal! This place is just a simple eatery owned by a typical mom and pop style eatery. I love coming here for those times when you don’t have time to cook dinner and tired of the usual pizza or take out chinese food in the area. One order of dinner plate can serve 2 people! Great for the budget conscience!

I had been meaning to stop in this place on my way home from work. I finally did today because it was hot out and I was walking home instead of taking the bus. I stopped in for a cup of iced coffee. There were two women at the counter. The older one was on the phone and the younger one helped me with my order. She made my iced coffee promptly. It was refreshing and not too bitter or sweet. Although there are other alternatives available, I thought that the iced coffee was a nice touch to my treck home and it was only $ 2.50. I also noticed a ton of baked goodies. It took extreme will power not to purchase anything. Maybe next time I won’t be able to resist!

While I understand many people enjoy their local establishments I feel like it is important not to over-embellish these places. For those of you familiar with Queens you will know that there are dozens if not hundreds of Hispanic bakeries throughout the boro; some of those are Colombian and each offer interesting regional flair though the pastries that they offer. When you walk though the door the orange and tan hues of the store either fill you with energy or weariness depending on your mood and time of day. It is very brightly colored on the inside. There area a couple of tables for you to sit in while you amaze at how clean the establishment seems. While you look around you will also notice that television in the center of the store which seems to be constantly set to the some Spanish channel(not sure which). The people are friendly enough though so you move towards the counter. Unfortunately for Que Sabor it doesnt seem to know what it should be, as you look through the assortment of menu items; it ranges from canollis to grilled steak to cheese breads. While it would be wonderful if a place could have all these menu items done well; it just isnt possible. This is what has happened as you back away from the counter and realize the horrible mistake that you’ve made. Honestly Ive been here a dozen times and there are few things that are worth your time, all of them however are Colombian fare: 1. Beef Empenada — the one whose shell is made of corn(the chicken one isnt worth it) 2. Chicharones — Fried pork skin and fat; pretty goof with hot sauce 3. Guava Cheese Pastry — Unlike many other Colombian places, Que Sabor’s cheese and guava pastry is surrounded by a flaky and soft french style bread. Try it if you’ve had it elsewhere. Honestly if the location wasn’t so convenient I wouldnt come here.

This family run bakery really brightens the corner of Haspel St. and Grand St. Previously at this corner was an old run down variety store. The Colombian pastries are pretty good. The mousse pastry is very good. They also serve lunch which I’ll try on another visit.

This place has been in my neighborhood for awhile and finally went inside today. I was looking for that delicious and roll my eyes dreamy dessert to fulfill my sweet tooth. This bakery offers Columbian sweets and cuisine. I came here during lunch time and the tables were full of patrons waiting for their lunch entrees. I browsed the displays finding hot foods of empanadas and fried pork. Their dessert selection conisist of red velvet cupcakes, fruit tarts, and cannolis. Also, in full display are Colombian treats of corn cake and baked breads. I decided on the corn cake, because I never had the pleasure of this Colombian treat and try a cannoli. The cost of the corn cake is 1.75 and the cannoli was 3.00. I didn’t like th cost of the cannoli because I thought it was a bit pricey. My sweet tooth was fufilled! Cannoli was good and the corn cake was delish taste of corn and condensed milk. I would stick to their colombian treats since it is what they do best. I will come back to try empanadas and lunch specials. This bakery has an inviting and cozy atmosphere. The family team that runs the place is friendly and attentive. Nice addition to the neighborhood.

I come to this place a lot since the laundromat is a block away as well as the bus stop. I’m usually there to grab a quick bite via takeout. The empanada de carne & empanada de pollo were pretty good for a nice filling snack. One time I ordered the bandeja tipica and it was a LOT of food! It’s an assortment of mixed grilled meats. The chicharron was good but oh so fatty :-) This place is definitely a place to go when you’re hungry on-the-go.

I love this neighborhood Colombian bakery. They are always so nice and attentive. I am a particular fan of the following… –fruit tart… the pastry cream is mmmmm –the loaf of bread with crusty cheese baked on it –donut thing with pastry cream and coconut The best dish there and the best value is their bandeja tipica! For just $ 10 you get enough food for two meals for two people. I’m talking 4SERIOUS portions of food. Avocado, steak, egg, rice, beans(OMG delicious beans), chicharron, platanos! Que Sabor I heart you!

I have no clue about the coffees or dishes at this bakery but after tasting some of the pastries, I am afraid to go back and find out. The ones I had were truly awful. The mousse did not have the silky texture or subtly sweet taste of mousse and wouldn’t even pass for chocolate pudding, the tiramisu was, god forbid, chewy, and the rice pellets in the rice pudding were hard. Go to Fay Da to get some decent pastries for the same price.
