Sears Essentials is the first store I visit when I need something. The prices are very competitive, and I find the personnel pleasant and helpful. I have purchased something from almost every department in that store. The guys who work in hardware and gardening are great. I bought a microwave and TV for my daughter’s dorm room. The electronics sales staff could not have been nicer. Many people say, «It’s Sears. What do you expect?» I expect helpful, friendly staff, and that’s exactly what you will find there. I, too, have bought clothes on the clearance rack that were marked down significantly. I have noticed that there are very few shoppers in there whenever I do in. It’s great. I have gone to Kohl’s and stood in long lines. You won’t find that in Sears Essentials, and it’s right next to Kohl’s. I think it’s a hidden gem in Elmhurst. Try it.

They always have something good on sale. I just came in here to get some bags and left with a bunch of clearence sale clothes. The place is empty every time that I have been here. So you have the run of the store. The employees are a tad brain dead. But this is Sears, what do they need to remember? Where they parked their skate board?
