My wife and I did not intend to stop here. We were walking along Broadway looking for a place to eat and while I do love a cheap date, dining here would hardly constitute that. But then we saw a sign for samosas on the wall menu through the window. And the hook was set. When we stepped foot, we were greeted warmly by the person at the register who I gathered was the owner. The moment I stepped foot, I was inundated with a sense of confusion. Among other things, I saw telephone cases, grocery items, a deli counter, and a cat… I definitely saw a cat… with a «No Pets Allowed» sign in large print centrally placed on the front door. Where was I? A deli? A grocery? A tech store? A discount shop? The confusion amassed. I sought to close my eyes and click my heels three times while mumbling, «There’s no place like home.» But alas, there I still was. I think I must have outwardly shown my daze because my wife hungrily nudged me with her elbow. ‘Oh right,” I remembered, ‘we are here for the samosas.’ Along the register there was a hot food case, sort of like the ones you see at 7 Eleven. «One samosa please.» The thing was HUGE. Probably one of the biggest samosas I’d ever eaten in my life. It was pretty good too. Somewhat lukewarm, but hearty and crunchy. We sat opposite the counter at a bar area with a few stools. My wife stepped away from me to further investigate the store — all 400 square feet of it. It was an interesting experience to say the least.
