Service here is always the worst. The food is ok. Never enough servers on the weekend and always a wait to be served even sitting at the bar. It’s a shame because the food is good (when they get the order right).

I’ve drank here more times than I’ve eaten, but I can say the beer nuggets and shredded chicken tacos are delicious.
They have a great and spacious outdoor patio.
The upstairs is very loud, dark, smoky, and hot during the late night.
The one major down side to this place, and I’ve read many reviews agreeing with this, is their service. Every waitress I’ve had there takes forever to come to the table after you sit down, takes forever to come back with your drinks, and then hardly comes back to ask if you want another. The bar tends to be a bit quicker … Sometimes. The last time I was there I sat at the bar for 5 – 10 min waiting for the bartender to come over while she sat talking to other customers who appeared to be either her friends or regulars. Those customers could see me waiting and didn’t even bring it to her attention. Then when she finally did see me she told me, «I’ll be right there». Very slow service by inattentive staff.

Horrible service. Just horrible. We were a party of eight and the waitress could not get out drink orders correct at all. She would bring one vodka cocktail instead of two, forget the beer order completely etc… We had to send numerous drinks back because they were wrong… I finally asked her to please write our order down so it would be correct and she blamed it on the fact there was only one bartender. Right. That may explain the length of time it took to get our drinks but not the fact that we couldn’t get our entire order delivered. This place sucks.

Unfortunately this bar is missing the ball in many ways. Service was terrible and extremely slow. At one point we had to order 2 drinks at a time, because it took so long to actually get the beers and then have the server come back for another round. We ordered appetizers, but the server never asked if we wanted to order dinner. The women’s bathroom didn’t have paper towels at all during our 4 hours there, and the men’s bathroom was a disgusting mess. I have never seen a rest-​stop in that condition, much less a restaurant. It was absolutely appalling! We told multiple employees about the condition of the bathroom… no one did a thing! Totally disappointed!

The service is the worst I have ever had. I placed a order for a beer and a burger. My burger came a half hour later, then my beer 10 minutes after the burger. Knowing how slow the first order took and our friends were on the way we ordered a round of shots for our table. 20 minutes later everyone was there and half our shots arrived, had to ask the server to bring the rest.
I will never go back. They should higher the servers/​bartenders based on experience instead of just being good looking. The fix for this place is easy. Fire the management and employees and higher quality servers.

What a missed opportunity.
My husband and I have been looking for a good place in the burbs to watch Monday Night Football. Pints is our go-​to, but the menu isn’t that expansive and we wanted to try something new. The Snuggery is right next door, so we thought we’d check it out, seeing as it has the look and feel of an English sports pub.
We walked in and it was pretty empty. Not too surprising, as it was a Monday. We sit down and it becomes apparent that this is not the place to watch a game. How do I know? Two TVs have Cupcake Wars or some other knockoff cupcake show; three TVs have music videos from the 90s and early 00s (and the sound in the bar is from those videos). No one wants to hear Nickelback, Snuggery. Those photographs do NOT make me laugh. The décor is mixed. There’s SOME hint of Brittishness, but then you have stuff that’s purely American, like Budweiser paraphernalia.
The beer sizes on the menu are stupid. Do you want a regular or a large? Wtf does that mean? How am I supposed to determine that without ounces? (FYI: The regular is a pint and the large is like 22 oz.) Basic craft beers on tap and by basic, I mean the big guys: Lagunitas, Goose Island, blah blah. Nothing special. Nothing super crafty. The game was on one TV but it was so hard to follow with Vertical Horizon coming on in the background. We basically chugged our beers and ran across the street to Pints, vowing never to return to the Snuggery. They could have given Pints a challenge and they could have done awesome things by being an English pub, but alas, a beautiful building in a prime spot is wasted by an inept business.

Horr-​i-​bile. Servers are understaffed. Our last try was, well, our last. Grossly u dear cooked burger, pretty much just seared on either side with wilted lettuce, the top end of the tomato (seriously) actually served as the tomato slice. Waited and waited for the waitress to return to our table. Finally found her at the bar. Brought my plate to her and she was horrified. I asked her to please ask the chef to make a new burger, cooked would be nice, and please ask him to not just nuke this one. 20 minutes later, out came a nuked burger with the lettuce and tomato nuked as well. Seriously? The waitress returned. We toldher we understand it was not her fault and she said she would send the manager right over. Neverrrrr came. We left. Yep. We did. Up and walked out. The burger is probably still sitting there.

I want every person who is homosexual to know they should not feel safe at this Snuggery bar in Elmhurst.
Last night I was attacked by a man who disagree with my lifestyle, as we began to argue the bartender told us to stop fighting and the man continues to ridicule me. With no defense from the bartender I was set back and felt unsafe at this bar. So I told one of my friends that she was no help in my discrimination from a fellow customer. So the bartender decided she wanted to throw me out because I spoke apon how she let someone discriminate against my sexual preferences, she got upset and followed me threw the bar and proceeded to put her hands on me trying to throw me out of the bar. As we both got to the bouncer he told her to leave me be and finish her bar obligations. I have never in my life been treated like I have no rights as a gay man in a bar. Personally I hope this woman gets her job stripped from her. Any bar I walk into I should feel safe, I should feel if i was being discrimination against, I should have the bars back on my side. Sadly that did not happen till I got to the bouncer. After saying all of this I recommend anyone who is homosexual should NOT feel safe in this bar wile this woman is serving alcohol.
This place needs responsible people to be in control of the alcohol and more professional adults.

I frequently visit the snuggery only to see their downstairs barback, the sexiest employee by far… tall dark and handsome with a luscious head of hair. I make sure to rain tips on him all night to improve my chances of getting his number, he is also a much better and quicker bartender than the actual bartenders.

worst place ever. Worst customer service ever. We were a group over 50 ppl and we all left.

I am a local and have been coming here many times, sometimes with the family and sometimes with the boys… giving a restaurant 2 stars based on service might seem harsh but its simply doesnt get any better with time. worse actually… wife and I had a couple of hours for dinner yesterday and thats about how long it took to get drinks. We sat outside with the dog (big plus actully) and it took the waitress 15 minutes before she even came to the table… 15 minutes later she comes back with the wifes wine but my beer turns out is out of stock… 10 minutes later I am at the bar ordering a corona when she says oh I just put your beer order in wtf its a slow thursday … The food is actually very good here. had the pulled pork. I have been holding back on judging this place but this has happened too many time… Hey management when are you going to read this

Nice drink specials! My girlfriends and I love Thursday evenings ½ off appetizers.
The food and drinks are decent, but can get pricey on weekends. Our tab was much higher on Friday, as opposed to Thursday.
Quick service. Friendly staff. Cute girls. Our favorite bartender is Sammy. She’s by far the best!
Spacious layout. Cool, calm atmosphere and décor. Dancing and music at the upstairs bar on Fri and Sat nights is nice. Downstairs is more family oriented during the weekday. The music is PG13 when the sun’s out, ha.
Nice patio area for outside dining. Good times, every time! Will continue coming here, definitely recommending

Terrible service… sat at a table for fifteen minutes on a Thursday night and no one asked if we wanted anything.

Nice little sports bar. Nice outdoor patio and good sliders. Don’t go there very often but love the patio when I do go.

I used to love the Thursdays at this place. ½ priced apps, 5 $ mojitos, and trivia! They screwed us the last Thursday by not informing us the apps were not ½ proved anymore and the new bartender didn’t know how to make a mojito. If it wasn’t for the trivia if never go back. The food is average, the drink deals are slightly above average.

I’m not going to knock a place for moving the entrance. but I will say that the service was far below acceptable. Refills were few and far between, soup that was ordered never came, and didn’t get parts for the appetizers until the app was finished.
Food was also average at best. It’s a shame too because they have a great beer garden and have really fixed up the inside.

Great every time I visit, great food, great prices and always great service. I have to say I am newer to the area and this is my favorite place to a relaxing take your mind off things kind of place. I’m sure it gets fun and crazy in the evening but I’m a happy hour person and it’s my number 1 choice for happy hour! Sunday’s are great for bloody Mary’s

What a great atmosphere and a great lunch option! At $ 7.99 for a half sandwich, soup, and (this is the kicker) a beverage included! I had the tomato basil bisque soup, which was delicious and the two small pork sliders — great. The only complaint I have I that the bbq sauce was way too sweat and smoky. I’d say if they would swap out the sauce with Sweet Baby Ray’s this is a deal that can’t be beat!

Very rude, inattentive bartender New Year’s Eve early afternoon.
It was hard to be served at all. We actually had to ask where she was. I don’t plan on going back.
Very poor service.

My girls and I came here for dinner on a week night. We got a good spot by the windows at a tall top and had a super nice server. The food was ok. I am not in love with this place and am not sure the set-​up is made for anything more than a weekend gathering or a short beer while watching a game. Nothing bad, but nothing worth passing up other places I haven’t tried for.
