Total Window Treatments

Karen was a pleasure to work with and I am very pleased with my kitchen window treatments. She made it a breeze to choose fabric and the type of window treatment I was looking for. I would recommend Total Window Treatments to anyone looking for a truly professional company to work with and a wonderful designer.

Karen did an amazingly awesome (no exaggeration) job with the window treatments in the breakfast area and back entranceway of my mom’s kitchen. Not only did Karen do such an awesome job she gave some wonderful insightful suggestions. My mom had opted to go with the cordless blinds in the above mentioned areas, but Karen noticed that my mom being only five two might have difficulty getting the blinds down above the sink area, so she suggested a cord for that section of the kitchen. A very insightful suggestion as it likely saved my mom from having to get on a small stool to get them down. Not only were Karen’s suggestions insightful/​helpful, she was exceedingly easy to work with. Very detail oriented, and personable. Took great pains to make sure everything was done to my mom’s satisfaction and within her budget. The blinds came within the time frame given (a matter of a few weeks). As previously said, amazingly awesome job. Everyone that has seen the end results state how beautiful the blinds are and how much bigger the breakfast area and back entranceway look.

I used total window treatments for 2 windows in my home and I was really impressed with how great they looked. They turned out way better than I imagined and they really transform the look of the entire room. The materials are top notch and the hemming and pleating was all done perfectly.
I would have given 5 stars but I deducted one for the time it took to get them installed. It took over 2 months to get them installed.

Karen did a wonderful job with our window treatments. We needed our whole house done shortly after moving in and my husband and I were both very pleased with the end result. I showed Karen some ideas that I liked and helped us to create a modern look that matched our space. We have received great feedback from friends on our treatments, as well! After building our dream home in Elmhurst near Spring Rd, I wanted to support the local business community. When it came time to plan for the treatments, I called Total Window Treatments, and was very impressed by experienced owner/​designer Karen Lee. She helped me solve a challenging space to create some window continuity using the treatments. Brilliant. She is aware of all of the latest products, fabrics and options. She also knows how to work with you to meet budgets! Unlike some of the larger names out there, Karen won’t rest until you are 100% satisfied. She truly stands behind her work, and relies on referrals. She is an Elmhurst gem.

We lost two big trees in the front of our house that gave us a lot of privacy. Now we needed new window treatments to give us back the privacy. We looked and looked and could not find anything we liked, so we decided to go the custom made route. We had passed by Total Window Treatments store in Elmhurst many times, so we decided to give them a try. Karen was wonderful. I told her a little about us and what we needed and she came to our house with some samples. I loved the ideas she presented. When she gave me a quote and I was concerned about the price. I never ordered anything custom made, so the price was more than I expected. Karen worked with me showing me different options. She even convinced me to go with blinds for our dining room. Something I was completely against. I love love love, my window treatments — yes even the blinds! I think the blinds in my dining room were truly better than anything else we were considering. Everyone who comes to my house even compliments me on the beautiful window treatments.
