I have only begun to fight! I must attain faster and faster speeds. At Elmsford raceway. So slot cars is an old fashion gentle persons sport that requires physical contact with people, slot cars, and tracks. In our day of videogames, it goes to say that planning and having a hobby not involving a game console or phone is more challenging than it seems. I spoke quite extensively with the store manager, Edwin, and was allowed to demo a beginners car. Pull the trigger the car goes, let it go it stops. I had so much fun testing out the car I am bringing the family this weekend. Race on!

Disclaimer: I know nothing about stock car racing & I’m female, so that’s two strikes against me! But my three boys (my two sons & their Dad!) always have a great time here. It’s a bit dingy & could use a good cleaning, paint job, updated equipment, etc. — but it is fun & great for kids. You need a lot of patience to race stock cars — they’re *always* going off the track in mid-​race. Always. Racers & their parents all help each other out though. Good ending to some race time is a stop for Italian ice at Rita’s next door!
