Midwest Moving Company

I used them for a cross-​country move from Cincy to New Orleans at the end of August. They were late on pick up day (by almost an hour and a half). They were late on delivery day (by almost 2 hours).
Here’s the worst part: A piece of my furniture was incorrectly wrapped and not padded when they packed it on the truck. It was damaged. OK things happen. I purchased the extra insurance to cover the total cost of my items should something happen. It is now December and I have gotten no compensation and can get no one to call me back. I have sent numerous emails and called countless times and have gotten no response. Their customer service is horrible.

I used this company for moving my studio apartment and small office from Cincinnati to Chicago. I am very satisfied with the service they provided to me.
They gave me an estimate of the moving cost before the moving day. And on the moving day they revised it to a lower amount (about $ 200 lesser). Yay!
Typically during office hours it’s hard to take calls and I loved that they are very responsive on the email. Their staff is super friendly and helpful.
In spite of the bad snowy weather, all my belongings were delivered on time. Brendon and Brennon were extremely helpful and went out of their way to unload my stuff at the office where the elevator wasn’t available. Yes, they moved all the stuff to 5^th floor using stairs.
I have just one complaint that the assembly of furniture was terrible. That’s why I cut 1 star from the rating.

I contracted with Midwest Moving for a small office move in March 2015. Matt was easy to deal with and got back to me quickly on my questions and concerns. The team of movers were quick with their pace, friendly and professional, and did a great job for us despite having issues with the elevator at the new location and the guys having to carry a very large desk up 5 flights of back stairs. The price was extremely fair and I will certainly use Midwest for any future moves.

Matt & team at Midwest Moving were fantastic. We were moving long distance from Cincinnati to Green Bay, WI and had a limited budget given to us by my husband’s employer. I got many quotes from a number of big moving companies and they ranged all over the place and all were over our budget. Each quote was so different and had different costs involved. Then, I connected with Matt and he made the process so simple. It was one flat rate all-​inclusive — so easy! I knew exactly what we would be paying, no hidden costs. And the best part was the speed. They were able to pick everything up on a Sunday and deliver in Wisconsin the very next day! Matt and his team arrived on time (even a little early!) and came well prepared with supplies. Midwest Moving was great to work with. They provided a detailed estimate and proof of insurance. Their pricing was lower than the other movers I called. Because they backed up their calls with follow up emails with the quote and later confirmation of the time of move they seemed very trustworthy.
On the day of the move, they arrived on time. Things that I was worried about were taken care of as if they were no problem. The bed was was taken apart, wrapped and put back together at the new location without delaying the estimated time of the job. The move was finished on time and at the quoted price.
At the new location, they helped arrange the furniture and moved all the boxes to the correct location. They also gave me advise on how to reconnect my stereo.
Throughout the move, Matt and his team were professional and respectful.
They really took away the stress of moving from one city to another. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a company who would move me from 300 miles plus and not just do a good job, but be fair and affordable and not change the game once they show up at my door. My contact person was Matt and he answered every question I had and offered to be there and since I was doing this a month in advance told me to to contact him with any question and concern. He was true to his word, they showed up at my door exactly as they said and packed my stuff meticulously even though I told them some of the stuff didn’t matter since they had scratches on them. They took time to do it correctly and once we arrived in Cincinnati I thought because of the long trip they may want to rest and unload the next day, but not these guys. They unloaded my stuff and left at 5:30 am. My wife and son went to sleep, but since they placed everything where it was suppose to be placed, my wife said when she woke up, she thought I had hired people to put the place together. Once we opened the boxes, I expected a couple of things broken as it always happens with moving, but to my surprise, nothing was broken and everything was as we have packed. The guys where as nice as you could be and asking where some of my unmarked boxes would go in the middle of the night to make sure everything was done correctly. They made our move as easy as possible and even though my 5 yr old was always in their way, they never said a word. Their price was much less than the competitors and they never were vague about where they would charge me more as others were. The flat price was what they asked and did an amazing job. Thank you to Midwest movers, It makes us want to move again!!!
