This place is terrible. It looks worse than the worst ghetto housing projects you can imagine. It’s like a creepy haunted house. The only half decent thing here was the free breakfast in the morning. Stay away at all cost, especially if your traveling with your wife or children. Spend the extra money and sleep somewhere else. I’d honestly rather sleep in my truck at rest stop for that price. Run for your life!

The WORSTEXPERIENCEOFMYLIFE!!! The DOORSDONTLOCK the hotel looks abandoned and broken down and all the rooms are empty except one on each floor. NOLIGHTSEXCEPTFLOODLIGHTS! I had to go through my bank to get my money back after I clearly told hotel I’m not staying there! The night manager«lectured» me, and I’m pretty sure it’s haunted! NOWATER in the room to boot! I’ve never seen anything so dirty and disgusting and disturbing in all my time traveling !

I originally made a reservation for three nights, from July 3rd to July 6th2014 at the Ramada Inn in Elyria, Ohio. At least a week prior to my arrival, I called Wyndham to change my reservation to two nights. I arrived to the hotel late on July 3rd, and the employee at the desk informed me Wyndham made a mistake with my reservation. They did not change my original reservation for three nights, instead they made a second reservation for two nights. I was charged for three nights, but the employee said that if I called afterward, I would be credited back the amount I was charged for the third night. I did as I was told, Wyndham informed me it would take four to six weeks for me to receive the credit, which was never done. I contacted the manager of the hotel, «Mark,» and he refused to credit me the amount. Because of this, I submitted a dispute with my credit card company, who credited me the amount in September. In October, I was charged for the third night again from the Ramada Inn Elyria. I called my credit card company, they stated the hotel submitted a statement saying it was a valid charge and that I would have to submit a written explanation to get the amount credited back. I contacted the manager of the hotel again, he was extremely rude to me. He insisted because I signed the check-in sheet for three nights that this was a valid charge. He would not admit any wrongdoing. He interrupted me when I spoke and talked over me. When I asked him to stop interrupting me, he hung up on me. I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with this hotel. I will never stay at a Ramada Inn ever again based on this experience. I could handle staying in a place that is a little run-down, but terrible customer service is something I cannot stand. Avoid this place at all costs.

Spent one night on our way to Northern Michigan. Wish we had not. It is old, outdated and had a musty smell. especially in the hallways. Pass on this one.

Completely seconding the other reviews here. My biggest concern was the parking lot, we had to park along the side of the building. That was fine and all until we parked there. The lot is in clean sight of the main drag, with spotlights, advertising no security, plus its accessible from dirt roads on the sides and it was a sleeper lot for long haulers(no offence). We’re driving cross country for our second move and I was really concerned about our car being safe there with all of our belongings. The staff were SUPER nice though, best part of the whole experience. We also had a real hard time with the room keys working on the doors, like 15% success rate.

Spent a night at this Holiday Inn prior to our fishing trip on Lake Erie. When you walk in the hotel, it is like you have gone back in time. This hotel is very dated and is in need of a major overhaul. Even has that smell to it. I agree with the other person, who reviewed this place. The parking lot is bad, the area does not appear to be very nice. There is an Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and a Mall close by. There is a bar/restaurant in the hotel. Didn’t even bother looking. The rooms were ok, beds were comfortbale, but had mini pillows. Bathroom was kind of nasty. Like I said, it needs a big overhual. The people working at the front desk were very nice, but couldn’t really recommend any places to eat. I don’t think I will stay here again. Area doesn’t have safe feeling to me.

Hotel is really worn at the edges, needs an overhaul. Meeting space isn’t that big and is divided awkwardly by narrow hallways. Parking is ample but the lot is cratered with potholes. The surrounding area is not much better, closed down adult club next door, struggling midway mall, and hard to access roads if you’re unfamiliar with the area. Was here for a meeting, did not stay, can’t say about the rooms but given the general age of the hotel lobby and hallways I wouldn’t expect much.
