I’m giving one star because I can’t give it a zero. Pathetic. Totally inexperienced waitress(was left on her own way too soon) specifically said not to our something on my good came out with it on it. My wife ate her entire meal before I got mine replaced. I asked for some condiments and waited while she took several orders, as my good got cold. As they had recycled the fries from the original order. Also ordered a beer, got that when I was three quarters of the way thru my meal, and was brought by another waiter. Asked for ketchup from the busboy as I never saw the waitress till it was way too late. When I spoke to the hostess/manager she seemed cavalier and giving a discount was her solution.

You can’t go wrong here if you’re looking for basic food. Appetizers are good, fried calamari is really good for not being an Italian restaurant. Thin crust pizza is great, we like the vodka one. Great place to get a good salad as well. Burgers and onion rings are really good. Steaks are a plus… I wouldn’t go here to get entrée dishes(pastas, chicken marsala, etc. — over the past few years I’ve tried a little bit of these dishes and they’re not terrible, but not great. Not where you go to eat that kind of food, that’s all.)

Went there last night to meet up with family & friends to see a live band. UNTURNEDSTONE was playing & they rocked the house(or should I say rocked the hotel!). They played a lot of great music. It was crowded, so the band definitely drew in the crowd. Drinks were nicely priced, great bar food & pizza. Waitress & waiters were accommodating & ensured that our group was taken care of.

They might not be much on looks, could use some renovations but I love what they did with the outdoor eat/bar area. They offer live music and host great events. This is a nice place for lunch, quick in and quick out with solid food and service. They have a nice variety in their menus, salads no burgers are good but the French Onion soup and sliced stake makes you come back again and again. Good family restaurant to bring kids too and for group family gatherings. They really support their local community and for that we’ll be back.

I’ve been here many times. We like to go for dinner(I usually have the hanger steak and it’s predictable) and listen to the bands. This was the first time I went to the Tiki Bar and had a hamburger. I enjoyed the hamburger very much. Drinks were so-so. And the service by the bartender was well — distracted. She was more interested in visiting with the patrons and the staff rather than waiting on the patrons. I thought to myself… that’s a nice job… just hanging and getting paid for it.

I came here twice, once for drinks with my sister and once for lunch with coworkers. The drinks were pretty cheap so I was happy about that especially for the area it’s located in. The lunch we had was mediocre. My coworker raved about the sliced steak sandwich, but after seeing the price of it I opted not to get it. All their other sandwiches are around $ 10-$ 12 but this one is starting at $ 19. I’m sure it’s really good but that price seems really high. So instead I got the eggplant parm sandwich, which was recommended by the waitress, and definitely wasn’t impressed. It wasn’t very cheesy at all and it seemed a bit dry. Definitely disappointing. However, I ordered a side of onion rings with it and the onion rings were really great!

This place is a take it or leave. Not a place I need to rush back to and I live here. Kid plate was ok. But cant go wrong with frozen chicken fingers and fries. Atmosphere is to be desired. Just a weird looking place.

Bar staff was good, but the two women in charge of seating the dining area are the weak link at this establishment. The women were unprofessional, rude, and demonstrated poor communication. Because of their shoddy treatment of me and my guests, none of us will ever return. Unfortunately, this is the second time we had a problem with the restaurant staff. They won’t get a third chance to show us a bad time. Never again.

Had to attend a family luncheon here recently. Small bar area and a side dining room. There was a buffet lunch served. They are supposedly known for there slice steak. Not being a much of a beef eater, I was happy to see if was offered on the buffet. It was delicious!!! The beef was so tender, just melted in your mouth. It was served on small pieces of toasted buttery bread, YUM! Everything else served was just ok, chicken, ravioli, fish, veggies and rice. Service was good.

Pizza is good. I expected it to be better due to the place being famous for the thin crust pizza. The place needs serious update. It looks like it has not been updated in decades. It needs John Taffer from Bar Rescue to help them!

Went to this place for a school lunch event. I enjoyed my time with the parents; however, I just want to ask this question, have you’ve ever eaten at a place and you want to like it but somehow it just falls flat? We had pizza, wings, dumplings, wontons(i think). The pizza was just flat and boring and the wings(one slice of pizza and one wing was the only thing I ate) the wing tasted as if it were fried twice. Also, after I ate the wing my throat became sore. The wing had a burnt smoke after taste and the wings were not burnt. I didn’t want to touch the other appetizers because they just looked like they were sitting there in grease. So you say what did I expect as our menu entailed greasy food. I’ll say this, I’ve eaten grease laden food before and it is possible to have«bad for you food» but yet the food be just SOOOOO good. One wing grease smoked and one slice of medicore pizza was all I needed. I was glad that I ate 3 egg whites on toast earlier that morning. The deck looked nice outside but we’re in December so of course no deck. The inside of the establishment needs to be updated. For some reason I kept thinking the guy from that show«Bar Rescue» was going to come out from the back room. I could have actually lived with the décor if the food were decent. You can read my review and say, «nah the food can’t be like how she describes it». I’ll just say this… you’ve been warned.

Great prices, decent bar food, absolutely terrible atmosphere. The drinks are cheap and live music is often played. The French dip is really good as are the burgers. I would have given the restaurant four stars if they changed the carpets and cleaned their bathrooms more often.

I am on a mission for restaurants I want to love — to create positive change. This place has many good things going for it — Local, above average items on their menu — Pizza, Onion rings, open face steak platter, good drink selection and very nice servers. The outside seating is great, it is family friendly and service is quick. If your are not in a rush, you are also encouraged to take your time while dinning. If you wish to have a eating and or drinking marathon, that is fine also. They also allow you to host private parties there — which I have been to many of. The bartender is nice and the drinks are well made and the beer is cold. My only challenge when picking a restaurant on either a Friday night or a Saturday night is, will my guests need a more upscale establishment. Yes I know, cork sniffing, but like I said in the beginning — «restaurants I want to love» and this is one of them. The only thing that I think will help this mainstay of a restaurant is to update the interior. The order should be Bar area, Family dinning area and finally main dinning area.

First of all i want to say is that this place had very good food. For an appetizer I shared pot stickers and buffalo calamari with me my aunt and uncle. Pot stickers were fried and really crispy and the Buffalo calamari was awesome. It’s regular fried calamari tossed in a spicy buffalo sauce. It comes with blue cheese on the side but, you probably won’t need it. For dinner I had the healthy grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and brocolli. First the portions were huge it was maybe 18 $ for my entrée. They gave me 4 big pieces of chicken and a huge helping of mashed potatoes. The chicken was grilled to perfection with a nice blend of herbs and spices and the mashed potatoes were really great as well. The brocolli had a very light drizzle of olive oil on top and it was excellent. For dessert I had the chocolate mouse which was very light and airy not to heavy after a big meal so it’s the perfect dessert. With some black coffee which was a great roast. The only complaint I really had is the staff. Our waitress didn’t really seem like she was paying attention when we order. Our order came out right but when giving it she seemed distracted. It took a very long time to get her to come back to the table even though we were the only ones in the resturant. Towards the end of the meal she was sitting at table with all of her Co workers laughing and giggling while we were trying to get her attention. All and all a great experience though and will absolutely be coming back.

Ordered the famous sliced steak and it just fell flat. I’ve eaten here before and I just remember there being more flavor behind it. It’s a great portion size for the money just lacked seasoning. Great appetizer menu too.

Great for a nice night! You can sit outside, have a cold beer and a thin crust pizza. The pizza is great, especially the Margarita one. Waitstaff is friendly; although, we ordered Buffalo Calamari — yes, we knew it was going to be hot. But it was the hottest thing we’ve ever had. When the waiter noticed we weren’t eating it, and acknowledged that he realized it’s been«hot than normal» lately, nothing was done about it and were charged for it. We didn’t complain, we figured it wasn’t a big deal, but when the waiter said something, we figured something would be done. Besides that, we had a nice time, and plan on returning to enjoy a nice night on the deck, minus the Buffalo Calamari …

The Emerson Hotel continues to serve their famous sliced steak sandwiches and have eased up a bit on the butter, which does not detract from the flavor at all. The french onion soup is also still served, but maybe not on a daily basis(I don’t order it). The other soups are all homemade and delicious, especially on a cold winter day. Service is great, especially when Janice is working. Perhaps it’s because I’m a repeat customer, but I’ve never had an issue with service. A language barrier in the kitchen may result in errors, but that is no reason to punish the server when it comes time to leave a tip. The restaurant can get very busy very fast, and tighter quality control in the kitchen would ensure that customers are getting exactly what they ordered. Personally, I don’t go because I’m looking for a fancy bar. I like the hometown ambiance because this is my home town. When I’m there, I often see people who I’ve known for decades. The camaraderie and comfort food(thin crust pizza the best in the area!) keeps us coming back. My daughter likes the potato skins, tuna sandwich and the kids personal pepperoni pizza, which I bring to her school each day for lunch.

The Emerson Hotel is a great place for a good bite to eat. Nothing fancy or hidden. You get what you ask for. The prices are kinda all over the place but you can trust that you get a good meal every time. Some things that are truly great on the menu are the burgers, the French onion soup, and of course their pizza. God I can eat 3 of those. The bar is nice and small but serves you really fast. This is a great local place and truly knows how to host their costumers.

The Emerson Hotel has jumped the shark. This place used to serve awesome onion soup with bubbly cheese on top and sliced steak on buttery toast points but no more. The food here is uninspired and downright lackluster. I had a Reuben that should have been used to fix flat tires. Terrible service and the décor and the floor were dirty. Avoid this place and try another local place that works harder.
