I really miss this place. Does anyone know where Hannah’s is located now?

First off… for all new customers wanting to visit, the address listed on Unilocal is incorrect. I followed the address listed as a first time visitor and was taken to the Hyatt hotel across the street. Seriously. So after scoping out more reviews that said the place was «the first thing you see when you enter the Public Market», I went across the street confused about the wrong directions listed.
So I walk into the Public Market to see Hannah’s Cookies right away and take a minute to look at the menu. Once I was ready, the older man took my order for an almond milk tea with boba. The customer service was abrupt because I was then asked if I would like my drink blended. I said «no thank you. Just an iced almond milk tea.» He then insisted that I get a blended drink instead by repeating «blended is better» multiple times when I asked him for the iced version. I caved because I was irritated with the incorrect directions and arguing for another type of drink when I just wanted to leave with a boba drink.
The drink was a bit too sweet and boba was alright. I would go elsewhere for a $ 3.50 tapioca drink.

I went getting a fresh watermelon boba. Very friendly service and tasty too. If it isn’t sweet enough, they will add extra sugar for you if you ask. Also give free samples constantly with the left over drinks of the blenders.

I visit this place only because it’s the only one place near my house with tapioca drink.
I can’t say it something incredibly delicious (especially for $ 3.50) but it’s OK. Sweet drink and tapioca with nothing (I prefer honey boba).
I got cream cheese browny… Well. It’s good, but I can’t tell that it’s the most amazing thing that I’ve ever tried in my life. And $ 3 per slice… Not cheap.
And service. These guys are strange… I’m a customer but they didn’t even try to look nice or be nice with me…
Lady she is ok. But old man… He is weird… He told me straight in my face «OMG» when I asked about difference between 2 types of drink that they offer…
My English is not good, but his even worse…
So… 3 stars…

First the good: location is convenient and some of the cookies are good. Hit or miss. Customer service is friendly.
The reason for my two stars: I’ve purchased almond milk tea from this place twice. The first time I got it warm, but it was waaaaaaay too sweet. I couldn’t even finish it which is weird for me because I can eat sugar by the spoonful. The second time, I got it cold, hoping the ice would lessen the sweetness but OMG! It felt like instant diabetes! I had to add 2 cups of water to the milk tea to make it edible. I also noticed their milk tea is made using a powder and syrup. Bummer.

Cookie Review:
I really like Hannah’s Cookies. My friend referred this place to me one special noon. Anytime I’m in the area and want an after-​work treat, I think of the Chocolate Chip Oatmeal w/​nuts *drools*. The snickerdoodles and white chocolate macademai are also pretty good but I would like more white chocolate because I’m a white chocolate pig. What’s special about these cookies is its flatness! The cookies aren’t overpowered with rich ingredients so I tend to buy more and eat more than I should =X The cashier is a timid old man, maybe Hannah’s grandpa? Either way, I love doing business with him.

The $ 3 brownie is not cheap. But it looks attractive. We had one cream cheese brownie and one mocha brownie.
However, once I bite into the cream cheese one, it tasted like those supermarket bought Betty Crocker brand brownie with some additional ingredients. Adding those ingredients like nuts are good. But it does not hide the cheap grocery packaged brownie taste.
The Mocha one is much better and we did enjoy it

Despite Google map’s best efforts to keep me away from this spot, I made it. This is right by the entrance to the Public Market. I got the cheesecake brownie which the older gentleman said was their best item. It was pretty good.

Seriously the WORST boba I’ve ever had. Ordered a milk tea boba and it tasted nothing like milk tea. It was more like sugar water. This is the second time I’ve gotten something and both times I’ve regretted it so much. I previously ordered a Thai Iced Tea and I was literally chewing on sugar crystals and the tapioca was hard. Yuck. Not only that but I got major attitude from the guy working there when I tried to ask for no ice. Thought I would give them a second chance this time. Never again.

Definitely a fan! I can’t leave Public Market without buying a big, flat, chewy/​crispy chocolate chip cookie and/​or a brownie with cream cheese. So simple but so good!

This place has been in business for a very long time. For a small vendor they sell dessert treats, and a wide variety of drinks (coffee, boba tea, smoothies, slushies, etc.) I’ve been coming here mostly for their cream cheese brownies, the recipe has never changed. The only thing that has changed is the size of their cookies, it was a lot thicker before. This time I wanted to try something a little bit different, and this is the convo I had between the cashier:
Me: I want a lychee boba drink please.
Cashier: (looks at me for a few seconds then says) why you no order the mango lychee or strawberry lychee? it’s better much better!
Me: ok ok! I’ll try the manga lychee then
Cashier: ok good choice! (2 minutes later) here you go mango lychee boba!
Me: great thanks!
Cashier: try it before you go!
Me: ok (takes a big sip)
Cashier: it’s good huh?!
Me: (mouth still full) MMMMMMMMHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!
In general the mango lychee was a little bit too sweet, but big kudos on the extra friendly customer service!

This is a review only for the drinks. Whenever I get a drink here (usually strawberry boba, but same goes for the taro coconut), the drink is really watery and the boba is not fresh. The boba is always really hard, and sometimes my drink is also sour. And also, the drink is pretty expensive!
Also, the service isn’t that great. When I ordered my drink, they didn’t even call out my order when it was ready. The woman just stuck out her hand until I happened to walk by to get my drink (I wasn’t waiting there).

Hannah’s cookies is the first vendor on the left one sees when entering emeryville public market. a middle aged couple is selling tapica drinks, coffees, pastries, and cookies.

Amazing «creamcheese brownie»!!! I can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s the second best brownie I’ve ever had. It’s $ 3 for a pretty generous portion size.
(The best is from Zingermann’s in Michigan)

A very wide variety of coolies and brownies… All of them look so delicious! I had the lemon bar and it was as good as it looked :-) My friends had the tapioca and the brownies and they were very satisfied with their choice as well. Their mango and strawberry tapioca is really good.

Everything is super fresh and the cookies/​brownies are always so warm and gooey and just all around baked goodness! Try the white chocolate chip cookie or the cream cheese brownies they are so addicting! The macadamia cookie’s are also super delish!
Drinks are awesome too! They have really good honeydew or taro tapioca drinks and strawberry Granada slushy. If I make it to the market early enough for breakfast I order a sesame bagel toasted with cream cheese. Noah’s bagels got nothing on Hanna’s cookies :)
Their yummies don’t run cheap so make sure your mentally adding it up before buying things to go! The prices and service are the only things really keeping me from giving this nice mom and pop shop bakery in the Public Market 5 stars. The baked goods, drinks/​foods itself are pretty amazing.

This place sits inside of the Emeryville Public Market. The stall is small but their bubble tea and desserts are pretty good! They use real fruit for their smoothies and bubble tea. This small family own business is not the quickest when it comes to service so if you are expecting an in-​and-​out quick service, this is not the place.
At the same time, you will not be disappointed with the taste of the bubble tea and smoothies at this place!

The cookies here and the other desserts are really good. It’s a bit pricey in my opinion but still, it’s pretty good. This places makes for a nice little dessert after having an actual meal at the rest of the Public Market.
My main gripe with this places comes with their tapioca drinks. Ordered from them three times now. Each time, there’s been residual sugar on the bottom of the drink. This causes the drink to become crunchy. Sorry, but crunchy drinks aren’t appetizing, especially if its pure sugar thats causing that crunch. Hella overpowering in flavor. The service here is mixed also. The younger lady is really nice, but the older one kind of serves you your food with a fury.
So it’s a good place for cookies and brownies, but not for boba. So that’s a nice little 3 star rating.

Does anyone remember Paradise Cookies? It was my faaavorite «thin cookie» place– and Hannah’s is now my replacement for it. I looove crisp, yet chewy cookies. It’s the kind of cookie that even if i don’t get any chocolate chips in one bite, it’s still full of flavor. It’s the right balance of brown sugar and butter.
I bought the oatmeal chocolate chip with nuts and the chocolate chip that came out to $ 3.15– not bad at all. I was, what I thought was «too full» to eat dessert so I bought it for my evening sweet tooth craving. The oatmeal cookie was devoured just walking through Border’s. The chocolate chip cookie didn’t even make it to the Bay Bridge. Can’t wait for another trip to the Emeryville Public Market!

The cream cheese brownie was so amazing. So moist and chewy. My daughter and I devoured it in less than a minute.
My wife ordered an Avocado bubble drink and she liked it a lot. She was impressed that they used real Avocado as opposed to the powder stuff that some other places use. I took a sip and I would have to agree, it was quite good.
For my daughter, we order her a watermelon slushy drink after she tasted a sample that the owner was giving out. She also seemed to like her drink as well.
This place is a fat person’s dream. I want to go back and try some of the other brownies.
