Any classic Nick at Nite fans out there? I don’t know about you, but I was raised on Get Smart, Bewitched, and of course– my all time fave, I Love Lucy. By far, one of the best episodes is where Lucy lets out her inner lush, and gets bumfuzzled whilst attempting to shoot a commercial: «Hello Friends, I’m your Vitameatavegamin girl. Are your tired? Run down? Listless? Do you poop out at parties? Are you unpopular? The answer to all of your problems is in this little bottle. Vitameatavegamin. Yes, Vitameatavegamin contains vitamins, meat, vegetables, and minerals. Yes, with Vitameatavegamin you can spoon your way to health. All you do is take a big tablespoonful after every meal. It’s so tasty, too. Tastes just like candy. So why don’t you join the thousands of happy peppy people and get a great big bottle of Vitameatavegamin tomorrow. That’s Vitameatavegamin.» Of course, Lucy ingests too much of the product, and comedy ensues with hilarious consequences. Why am I harping on about I Love Lucy? Isn’t this a business review? Hold the phone, I’m getting there. So, Real Good Project reminded me of Vitameatavegimin, in that its a simple way to get your vitamins, meat, vegetables, and minerals, delivered to you without spending any time in the kitchen. Scrumptious organic food in perfectly portioned meals are delivered straight to your home or office, and its easy as(organic) apple pie! Simply go online and figure out the plan that works best for you, and sooner than you can say«Drunken Fifties Icon!» you’ll be savoring menu items such as Salmon Salad Sandwiches(why the hell have we been settling for tuna?) and Morroccan Lamb Stew with Whole Wheat Couscous. Prepare to be dazzled with the myriad of fantastic options, and choose the Breakfast Crepes with Curried Tofu instead of the 9-Grain Cereal with Goji Berries and Pumpkin seeds because I thought it tasted like Panda-food. :)

Ok so I got some connections. I know people. Can they get me into the Superbowl? Can they introduce me to celebs? Can they bring me total happiness and creaminess? Not at all. But what they can give me are samples from a organic food delivery startup website looking for funding. I am on day 3 of eating really good, fresh, organic, prepared food that has been hand delivered to me and dammit, I feel like a God damned reborn vitamin packed super human. That was a mouthful. So was the banana, almond & cocoa nib smoothie I just drank. At first I thought this concept was stupid, but it’s kind of growing on me. Maybe they put organic opium in their dishes to hook me. Who knows? But now, I can see that I might actually sign up for this thing legit style. It’s around $ 300 for 7 days worth of meals delivered every couple of days. At first, it sounds expensive, but it’s 3 meals a day for 7 days. My only gripe is that some of the meals are pretty heavy on the calories but I can see from their site that they have a pull down menu on the calories so they must be working on it. This is definitely not for everyone and I am not sure it’ll take off with the masses but the meals I have had so far, good stuff. The only reason I am doing this organic deal this week? To make up for the absolute bender I had this past weekend. Crunchy.

For $ 43 a day, you too can eat like a champ! I really love the idea– healthy synergistic meals delivered to your door, but am really not enthused about the price point. I was pondering a week trial, and am confused as I canceled my order, and food still showed up at my door. So far I have had a breakfast of spiced brown rice cereal with apricots and cherries– could have had more fruit and was really heavy for a non breakfast eater, and a lunch of tasty herbed chicken with green beans and chick peas in a red sauce… So far so good, but would also like to see lower calorie options– 2000 is too much for this dieting girl! Im also making my man try it — he seemed fine with breakfast and will see where lunch and dinner leave him. Ill update after another day of organic fun.

Ready to eat meals delivered right to your home or business. Organic(when possible), fresh, natural — outstanding. The company has assembled a dream team of nutritionists and food experts like Paula LeDuc — to bring healthy, gourmet food right into your home. The food is simply excellent — I’m hooked. Entrée prices range from $ 10-$ 20… breakfast, lunch, dinner. Easily as good as a top restaurant — and you don’t get stuck paying tax, tip, healthcare surcharge, etc, etc. And the nutritional info is right on the package. love it!
