Unbelievably good service. The food is homemade, fresh, and made to order. Jenny still works in the kitchen everyday and does an amazing job. She’s been there over 30 years they said. The pie and homemade ice cream was worth the stop in itself. Everything is made from scratch and fresh. The prices aren’t bad either. We stopped here after a cold day on the mountain and for hot coffee, amazing soup, and even more amazing pie and ice cream. It was such a cute little locals place. A gem in a small town:

While visiting Georgetown my family and I stopped in, this place was great. It has a very inviting feel, very cute and homey. The food was delicious and the service was lovely. If I ever visit Colorado and Georgetown again I will definitely be back.

Everything I get here is delicious! Such a homey feel with a great selection of comfort food. I just had their chicken noodle soup & never tasted a recipe so delicious!

Cute place with tons of personality. A must stop on route to Vail! Loved their potato and bacon soup and roast beef sandwich. The choc chip pecan pie with locally made ice cream disappeared so fast that I could not take a picture to post!!! :) Not just a good country food style meal but also an experience.

Calorie counters stay the heck away. Fantastic quality and insanely large portions. Buffalo burger cooked to order, superb fried chicken, fries are potato disks cooked just right. Chocolate chip pecan pie is so rich it’s almost impossible to eat without their homemade, airy, churned vanilla ice cream. Damn. Get out of traffic and into this joint.

I love this place! Great stop on your way back from the mountains. I usually go for the buffalo burger — cooked to perfection. The portions are big so come hungry. You can’t leave without trying the pie of the day. Again, pie portions are huge but perfect to share.

Home cooking! So tasty. The selections are vast for a restaurant this size. We stopped in on a Friday and there were only two women working. They were polite and provided great service and even better food. Homemade ice cream, pies, potato salad, etc… I recommend stopping here if you can. Better than the over priced options up at Winter Park.

The steak was flavorful, but needed trimmed a bit. Cooked right at medium. I’m from Iowa so they could have kept their corn on the cob, but it’s not their fault I’m spoiled with that. I’d call their fries«chips» but they were tasty and fresh. Great service, fun to talk with. If you get only one thing here, it needs to be the PIE! We had blueberry, Dutch Apple, Apple — all with homemade ice cream, and a peanut butter ice cream pie. Eat the pie! I’d drive from Denver via Estes Park again for this pie!

Seriously delicious! My husband and I ordered side salads and split a cheese burger. The salads were fresh, huge and were served with warm homemade rolls and homemade dressing. The burger was cooked perfectly and plenty big to split between two people! Great food, huge portions and well priced. We will be back for sure!!!

My friend and I were stuck in a parking lot on I-70 East at 3:30 yesterday after hiking Grays and Torreys. It had been 12 hours since our last meal(I know, I prepare well) and we were so hungry we could barely talk to each other, so we started our hunt for food. First we landed at the Hard Rock in Empire. We left here after not being helped for 10 minutes, and then learning they didn’t have fries. We were obviously in zombie mode for fries. We bolted across the street to Jenny’s, and we were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming environment, and good food! I had the bison/buffalo burger and my friend had a regular burger. Both of the burgers got a thumbs up from us! Now, onto the jalapeño poppers. I have an idea in my head of what I am ordering when I choose jalapeño poppers, and this was not them. These were simply jalapenos cut in half with cheese pasted inside… Not my favorite, but just a warning to those who choose this path… They might not be what you’re expecting. Last, but not least, the steak fries. Yum, yum, yum! Just what we needed! They were perfect. The way they are sliced allows them to get crispy while remaining soggy! If I do go back for one thing, it will be the fries!!!

Great choice. We stopped at Jenny’s for lunch mid road trip and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The wait staff was very friendly and efficient while managing to not make any mistakes with our orders(something I’m starting to appreciate more and more). We had an assortment of buffalo burgers that were outstanding. The fries are hand cut and delicious and the fruit served with it worked surprisingly well. A friend ordered the burrito and said it had some of the best sauce he’d ever had. I was very happy and would recommend Jenny’s to anyone!

I was disappointed in the food here. I ordered the hamburger cooked med well. The meat was old and had an off taste. I couldn’t eat it. The steak fries were soggy and greasy. I also found that there was no soap in the restroom. The restaurant was not busy. Overall, I left hungry and with dirty hands… not a good experience.

Ever driven through Empire Colorado? Maybe on the way to Winter Park or Grand Lake? If so, you have driven by Jenny’s. If you have never stopped, you have really missed out. I love this place. They have been around for as long as I have been in the state(over 20 years now). They have a great menu with a lot of variety. Nothing to fancy, but a lot of American favorites. Jenny’s was recently featured in the Colorado Hug a Hunter campaign. If you have seen the spot, you get a nice peak into the restaurant. Just about everything about the place is antique. Nothing fancy here, just good food and fun people. Always clean and courteous, with a side of ornery. As for the food, I have had just about everything on the menu. After I order, I often times hear someone else ordering and think, «wow, I should have ordered that again». But I know what I ordered is just as good. My favorites are French Dip — Thin sliced beef, lots of au jus(ask for more if you need it) on a soft french roll. Reuben — Piled high with meat on marbled rye. Chile Size — I think they call it an open face hamburger topped with chile, but we all know what it is :) All the sandwiches come with homemade fries(fried sliced potatoes, like thick chips). You also get a nice fruit garnish. Always fresh, I usually end up eating mine. They have other sides as well. I highly recommend the warm potato salad. I think it is German. This stuff is awesome. I believe it is the sweet vinegar that gives it the nice little bite on the finish. After you are done with your meal, you have to have some homemade pie. Blueberry is the absolute best. They have a wide variety(until it runs out) and you can get it warm with ice cream. Not sure why you serve pie any other way. I have not mentioned everything, just not enough time. The burrito is great, plenty of fun delicious appetizers, several varieties of quiche are often available. If they don’t have something the way you want it, just ask. Friendly, down home people who have continually done an excellent job feeding hungry adventurous people in the Colorado mountains.

Jenny’s is the place you find it homey away from home! staff is super friendly, I had buffalo burger, it was very well prepared, medium well, just the way i want it, also serve w french fries, pickles and fruits(love it)! There aren’t too many restaurant options by Empire, CO. I stayed at a B&B accross the street, but Jenny’s got enough options that I can have all my meals there during my stay! I just love the fact my food was prepared w care and love, w very resonable price!

What can be said about world-renowned Jenny’s that hasn’t already been said? Known the world over for fast, friendly service and great breakfast. Breakfasts are solid and hearty. You get far more than what you pay for here and let it be said that Jenny makes a mean pancake… a HUGE, mean pancake. The bacon is good, the bread buttered, the breakfast sandwich cheesy, and the homemade salsa chunky. Definitely worth a stop if you ever find yourself in Empire, but why would you? Stop anyway and grab a meal here. It’s worth it.

Jennys was not what I expected. They had creative entrees and appetizers and even the hamburgers were oval. I got pickled jalapenos stuffed with peanut butter and a larger bowl of homemade soup. The soup was served with rolls and fruit! Where do you find that? For dessert, the Dutch apple pie was probably the best I have ever had. My dining companion had burger and fries and the fries are round sliced potatoes But they are the best! Yummo to the max. My only complaint was I ordered potato and bacon soup and it turned out to be chicken broth like the kind leftover from boiling chicken, with no chicken but pieces of potatoes and a whole slice of bacon. Lots of grease And clumps of white and yellow chicken fat. Service was fun. I have never been heckled by a waiter before, with a big grin on his face. I would gladly return, but would ask more questions about what the soup was like. They also had Parisian onion soup with a chicken base rather than normal beef base.

Stopped by on my way to Granby just as they were changing the«open» sign to «nope». They kindly opened back up to fix us some quick burritos(chicken for me veggie for my friend) and sent us on our way with the last 2 slices of pie left, which happened to be peach. All the while cheerfully acting like it was no trouble at all for them! I had just arrived in CO that day grumpy from an 8 hour delay at the airport, and this experience was the attitude adjustment I needed to get my vacation off to a good start. By the way the burritos were huge; we ate the leftovers for breakfast the next 2 days.
