Worst bridal shop I’ve ever been to. Not only was the selection extremely limited, but Alison was blatantly rude and condescending. She talked more about herself than the bride, she was a horrible listener, and insulted the bride! She said the bride was too young, the bride chose a style that would be out of date in a few years, and even insinuated she couldn’t afford it. No wonder she is going out of business. Worst customer experience ever.

I came in here to look at accessories, since I already purchased my dress a few months ago.
I love how they have A LOT of hair pieces and other accessories to choose from, and I found one which was even half off. Even full price, it was only ~$ 50, so very reasonable, compared to what you see elsewhere. I didn’t really look at prices for their other items so I’m not really sure if I just found a cheaper piece.
Looks like a very cute shop — I would’ve liked to come here to try dresses but since it is a boutique selection is smaller.

After hearing Allyson say to me through the phone, «you won’t be disappointed», I had a feeling her boutique was where I’d get lucky. I am NOT a big wedding dress fan and I filed through all of San Diego’s boutiques finding nothing close to the vintage look I had imagined. Her store has very surprising pieces made with exquisite fabrics and fine details, not to mention a romantic and charming setting. As I came out with my dress, I was not sold immediately. Once Allyson encouraged me to get imaginative with alterations and adding small details, I was sold. She was very patiently willing to work with me to make my fantasy dress. I am thrilled to wear this piece of art.

Pretty bridal shop in Encinitas. They also carry bridal veils and other bridal accessories. The owner of the shop also designs dresses and bridal hairpieces. Their stuff wasn’t my style (think lacy empire-​style dresses) but the shop was nice. If you want something simple or old-​fashioned, this may be your place.

I got engaged last July and went in to Provence at their first location in Carlsbad and was amazed when i walked in! The dresses were beautiful and so different than anything i had seen at other bridal stores. The second dress i tried on ended up being THE dress, and i was so excited! Sara had been so helpful and gave me advice on how to bustle the dress and where i can get it done, etc. The customer service was amazing, and i knew i would be back for some accessories!
I finally went in today to their new location in Encinitas and it is even better than the last location! There are even more dresses and accessories and my friend who just got engaged also found her dress there today! Allyson was so helpful and creative, she made sure my friend had the best time and found the dress of her dreams! I will be back tomorrow for my styling appointment.
Highly recommend this place to any new soon to be bride! If you value customer service and unique and different products then this is your place to go!

Provence was the best experience ever for wedding dress shopping! Allison was great and dedicated all her time to just me… Closed down the store for an appointment makes the process very personal and enjoyable! All the dresses in her shop are beautiful and priced well! I would definitely recommend!!!

From the first moment I walked into the store I saw the beautiful angels hanging from the windows as a décor and was greeted by a smiling Allyson Simone the designer herself! Her warm welcoming left such a impression to me and my mom. She even closed the store, so that she could give me her full attention I was so grateful it was above and beyond what I had ever expected. Her beautiful store was filled with gorgeous dresses, veils, and jewelry unmatched to any of the stores I have been to. Allison made me feel completely comfortable and beautiful I truly enjoyed the entire experience and most importantly she lead me to the dress I didn’t know I loved until I tried it on. I credit Provence with making my wedding day exceptional and memorable, she made me feel beautiful and I know all eyes where on me she really was just like one of the angels in her window!

I had the most wonderful experience shopping for my dress here. Allyson the owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable since she is a designer herself. I noticed that in some of the other reviews they mentioned the lack of pedestals in the store. A pedestal is an inaccurate view of what you will look like in the dress. Personally being short I wouldn’t want the illusion that I’m going to look that much taller.
Provence Bride has a great selection and my dress is truly one of a kind.
The store is also the most beautiful bridal salon I have been to. What also makes this store different is their concierge service. Having the knowledge and expertise of a wedding planner at my fingertips FREE of charge made my planning process a breeze. Thank you Allyson and Team for such a wonderful experience.

I was excited about my appointment here when I spoke with them via phone — boy was I disappointed.
I had made an appointment for a Saturday morning since my MOH was in town for the weekend and I wanted to make sure she was there when I tried on dresses for the first time. We had an appointment at Alfred Angelo in Oceanside the night before and it went so much better than expected, so I was on a high from that experience and expected that at Provence to be even better, given the fact that it carried higher end dresses.
When my mom, MOH, bridesmaids and myself met at Provence, we walked in and were greeted warmly and then my mom and bridesmaids were asked to sit on the couches in the middle of the store while I filled out some paperwork. I went through the basic address, wedding date, etc. but when it came time to them asking me about my budget, the response I received from them was «Well, it helps if you’re flexible by a few hundred dollars.» Funny, I thought that’s the reason of making a budget — to stick with it! Interesting.
Then it came time to pick out some dresses, which were mostly high end designers. I picked a few and the consultant helping me put them into a fitting «room» (three walls and a curtain). She told me to step into the first dress and to let her know once I was in it. What? You want me to step into a $ 2500 dress by myself?! Not exactly the customer service I had expected to receive from a higher end boutique. The consultant at Alfred Angelo helped me into each and every one of the dresses I tried on.
Needless to say, they were not accommodating here and their customer service is severely lacking. The couches they had my party sit on were so far from the mirrors I was looking at myself in that they had to move closer and sit on the floor — they were not even offered chairs. Mind you, I had my mother with me and one of my bridesmaids is pregnant — again, not the kind of customer service I would expect.
The overall feel that I received from the personnel working the day of my appointment is that my appointment wasn’t important to them and that they had better things to do — which is interesting considering no one else walked into the store during the hour that I was there for my appointment. I didn’t receive a follow-​up thank you email until a month after the appointment — the one I received from my consultant at Alfred Angelo came the day after my appointment.
Yes, they do have designer dresses, but not designer customer service. If you are set on a designer wedding dress, I would highly recommend going somewhere else to find it.

I was pretty disappointed with my experience here while wedding dress shopping. I set up an appointment because they had a certain dress that I had seen before and loved. We were greeted warmly and the associate who helped us was very nice, but there are some definite things the store needs to work on. The store did not use clips to make the dress tight so you could see the fit. Instead the associate held the dress closed, which gave you the effect, but not as well as if they had clips. In addition, they didn’t have many accessories that you could try the dress on with. I wanted a black sash and they had to turn another item inside out in order to give me that effect with the dress. They also did not have pedestals to stand on while you were in the dress, which is a staple in most bridal shops. In addition, the price of the dress they quoted me was almost double of what I found it for at another store. They quickly met the price, but I would shop around to make sure you are getting an accurate price. I also felt that the staff was not as knowledgeable as other stores. The associate helping me did not know how to bustle many of the gowns I tried on when I asked her to show me. The store itself was beautiful and I feel like it has a lot of potential., especially with their full-​service planning help. Since the store has only been open a few months, I feel like these simple things could make your experience a lot better.
