After visiting the store a day earlier, I decided to return to purchase a vintage, disassembled clock to use as a project and give as a gift. The owner, Scott, greeted me warmly as I quickly walked right to the old mechanism I’d come to buy. Picking it up I asked him how much and he replied«well, that’s part of a clock.» Confused, I explained that I understood and wanted it anyways. He gave a long story of how he didn’t want to sell it and that many people have asked about it already. «Then how am I as a customer, supposed to know what’s for sale in your store?» I asked. He said, «it’ll have a price on it.» But looking around and presenting about ten different items(all unlabeled), he said each were indeed for sale. With no website, no posted hours, and cat litter scattered throughout a dingy, smelly store that is presented more like an episode of Hoarders, I’m unsure how this store can stay in business, especially when much of their«merchandise» is NOT available for purchase. Definitely a store that could have potential, but at this time it feels like imposing on someone’s messy, dirty living room… And it’s a pass.

The guy who complained about the cats would have made it to New Jersey during the gold rush. So what! I’ve shopped there 4 or 5 times… never experienced that. The owners are fair, informative, deal in quality products. Their repair service is also excellent.

Was taking a leisurely trip down PCH. Antiques and clock?! I had to go in. Walked in with a big smile on my face. A strange mustiness lingered in the air. Place was filled top to bottom with antique furniture. Beautiful old wooden pieces. What I didn’t expect was the smell to grow. It was then I noticed some cats. Then, I noticed the floor was lightly coated with kitty litter. Instantly had a hoarders flashback. The smell seemed to intensify. Had to get out of there within 5 min. Was afraid to see waht I would find. Great concept, but smell was horrid.
