I had a baby in October, and I’ve been training with BIll for several months now. I am down to pre-​baby weight and am seeing great progress in my body! Bill makes every workout challenging and changes it up. We train outside with minimal equipment. He is very knowledgeable about nutrition and really helps me make good choices. He is very supportive but pushes me beyond where I would push myself… which is exactly what I need in a trainer. He is getting me «game fit» for soccer, which is huge at my age (45) and with three small kids! I cannot recommend Bill enough!

I’ve been training with Bill for 3 weeks now and he has some of the most intense and effective workouts I’ve ever done, and we haven’t even picked up one weight.
I started training with Bill to increase agility and endurance for surfing (my favorite activity) since I’ll be going on some surf trips soon, but his training addresses so much more — functional movement, alignment, breathing, nervous system, total body integration.
I’ve been working out regularly since about 8 years old, always been into fitness and sports, I’ve trained with several different trainers, even a former body-​building champion. I’m 36 yrs old and probably in the best shape of my life, and now with Bill it’s going next level. These are simply the most effective workouts I’ve ever done. Practically every exercise requires integrating your entire body rather than one muscle, and results in a true full body conditioning even when focussing on a particular muscle group. If you can push yourself through these workouts you can be prepared for just about any activity. In only a few weeks I’m faster, stronger, more agile, have more endurance, leaner, feel lighter on my feet, and feel much more connected to and in tune with my body.
Bill is a pretty mellow guy, very respectful (army background) and down to earth, and a true expert professional trainer. Every routine is something different, it seems like his knowledge of workouts and sequencing them for maximum gains is endless. He’s just over 40 yrs old and in as good or better shape than most top athletes. This is not your typical weight training, it’s better, and in my opinion more inline with what it really means to be fit. If you want to see some serious gains do yourself a favor and commit to just a month and see what happens, you probably won’t want to stop. SOLID training all around through FPHIIT!

I never wanted to spend the money for a personal trainer, but post-​kids my own sparse workouts were not getting rid of my soft belly and I knew I needed help. Where do I find a legit personal trainer that could not only ensure I get good workouts, had a compatible personality but would also give me some diet advice too? (It sure wasn’t at 24 hr Fitness — how can you call yourself a personal trainer when you have a beer gut? But I digress…) I found Bill on Unilocal (thanks Unilocal!) and I’ve been training with him now for 6 months!
I like that we work out outside with very basic equipment — so I know the vast majority of what we do I can do myself at home. He provides suggestions on what I can be working on the rest of the week. I’ve been very impressed how he always has creative and well-​grounded exercises to challenge me with (I swear I think we are up to 50 different exercises on the suspension training ropes he uses!). Through him I found
which has been really helpful for me to improve my diet (my challenge was I often didn’t have time to prepare healthy food). He’s flexible to my schedule and responsive on texts. I appreciate (as others have said) that he’s super knowledgable about the physiology behind the exercise but doesn’t lecture or judge. I would highly recommend Bill!

My husband has worked out with Bill and has had really good experiences. He said that Bill’s plyometric experience was really helpful in developing his jumps (and I’d say it’s put a little spring back in his step.) Also my husband had never used a CrossCore before and found it way better than any other suspension training out there. Five stars, We highly recommend Bill.

MRC brought Bill in to train our employees in weekly training sessions. He brought with him an immense amount of knowledge that separates him from normal trainers. MRC, where I work, arranged for Billy to come and do some training sessions with us for both exercise and nutrition. Although I did not do the exercise i did attend both classes on nutrition. They were excellent. I learned a lot. I made a couple of changes to my eating habits and I have lost a couple of LBS… woohoo…thanks Billy.

Bill McDonald is a great trainer because he has the ability to train a group of people in a personal way. I went to his boot camp training and was at a different skill level then the others and he had no problem curtailing my work out so that I feel like part of the group but he didn’t give me something that would hurt me. Yet I still got the best work out of my life.
Another thing I would like to mention is that Bill has an educated answer for any question I have. I doubt it takes much to get a license to be a trainer but to find a guy like Bill with his skill level, experience and extensive knowledge is rare. Consider yourself lucky to get a chance to train with this guy. I do.

I’ve been training with Bill for about 6 months. I am on the best shape I have been in since high school! The work outs are always interesting, fun and challenging.
Most of the work outs can be done anywhere, without other equipment. I think the work outs provide maximum results combining strength training and cardio. Bill is always encouraging and supportive and gives you that extra boost to get through the challenging work outs. I highly recommend.

I have been training for over 20 years from weights to cardio. I served 20 years in the military 10 years in the Naval Special warfare community as a Special Warfare Combat crewman I also attended BUD/​s the US Navy SEAL training. I crossed over to the Army and learned their methods of training. Then I meet Billy and he introduces me to FPHIIT… what a complete mindset change. His principals showed me you could find the time location outside of a conventional gym and with any piece of equipment from a rock to a water jug and get a quality workout without risk of injury that would set back your training efforts and goals. Each workout was as challenging as any crossfit workout I had done and my skin remained intact unlike crossfit. Billy is a wealth of information in the fitness world and I recommend his ever evolving training style to anyone you will leave his course of fitness instruction changed and in the best shape of your life. What’s more the training sessions are fun, Billy continues to motivate you and educate you preparing you for challenging events such as the San Diego Rock and Roll Marathon, Tough Mudders, and the Spartan Challenge. If you want to be in shape give Billy a shot you won’t regret it.

I am always searching for challenging and advanced forms of training without being sucked into the whole world of popular fad extreme «cross» training gyms and risking injury, and that is exactly what I found with FPHiiT! One workout with Bill, and I knew that I was about break into the next level. The workout royally kicked my butt (And I’m a very active person) without feeling as though I was nonsensically performing moves that would put my body in harms way. What’s more is that I could feel the gains about 3 days after my session. I’m hooked! Bill possess an incredibly vast knowledge of exercise science stemming from a background in special forces training (Just spend 5 minutes talking to him and you’ll know!) and I would highly recommend his courses for anyone looking to make leaps and bounds (Literally) in their fitness performance levels!
