Beautiful little park and easy to find in the Encinitas/Cardiff area of North County. This tiny little overlook has got a small park with a patch of grass and an overlook that looks right down to the beach. Also, located just a short walk away is the beautiful meditation garden so be sure to stop by and take a look at the beauty of the meditation garden!

This little spot is quiet, relaxing and perfect for bringing lunch here to eat while enjoying an amazing ocean view. You can park anywhere on the residential streets around here, and there’s plenty of parking available. From the street, a staircase leads through a small, grassy park area to the main viewpoint area with picnic tables and some seating.

I used to come here years ago and I loved it so much because I was kind of hidden, a great spot for lunch and had a great view of the ocean. I love to find gems like this because it’s hardly anyone here and it pretty chill. The location is great because it’s somewhat hidden by some trees and it blends in very well with the neighborhood. Even the sign that says J St. is not that bold and visible but that’s okay because I found it and I love it. Being that it’s kind of hidden it hardly ever crowded but I’m sure that will change with time. There are a few tables where you can sit and have your lunch or just chill with some good company and enjoy the view. This used to be my lunch spot back when I worked for Electra Bike I would go to Juanita’s get a California burrito and eat here at J Street. This is an amazing place to watch the ocean or bring a date because it’s private, it’s a small park, it has tables and an incredible view. The view is the star of this park as it should I just don’t have words for the view. This is a must visit view point you will not be disappointed.

Probably the best of the Encinitas viewpoints. It’s got a couple of nice lawns, a picnic table, ample concrete benches for sitting, and a gate at the north end opens onto a foot path directly to the I street viewpoint.
