Happy customer!!! I just purchased my second triathlon bike from Nytro. I always receive great customer service and great quality bikes so I had to come back. Not only did I purchase a bike but my boyfriend did as well. These guys are amazing… Skip, Joe, Harvey and Dave. They are knowledgeable and very informative. They took their time with my bike fitting, wetsuit, bike shoes, tri suit… pretty much everything and they did it with a smile and sense of humor. I love these guys!!! I can’t forget but you get lifetime bike fittings as well! The store is fully equipped with every merchandise a triathlete needs to your first time cyclist. If they don’t have something you want, they can always order it. They didn’t have my bike size in the shop but we were notified within a day. The store also has a bike repair shop. They’re awesome as well. Once again another wonderful experience at Nytro. Thank you so much! Special thank you to Skip… thanks for being so amazing!!! We love our new Cervelo’s!!! We will be back!!!

The guys at Nytro are great! I needed some very hard to find parts for my bike today so I stopped by the Nytro shop and spoke with Joe. He not only found and installed the very hard to find parts in minutes, but he also did some preventive maintenance on the bike as well. He could not have been nicer or more helpful. He was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do to get me back on the road again. Once the repair was done, I was shocked at how low the price was. It was more than fair. I am a VERY satisfied customer and will definitely be going back for all my cycling needs.

This is the spot if you’re a budding(or a long-time) multi-sport athlete. Swim, bike, run, they have it here. And it’s not just pro-level gear they stock here(which they have plenty of), they have plenty to suit up all the beginners, whether it’s bikes, swim gear, or running gear. They also obviously have a full-service bike shop and fitting service as well as a fleet of rental bikes on top of all the fancy alloy and carbon fiber whips for sale. And of course, all the sport nutrition you could possibly need is available here as well. Folks working here are fantastically friendly here too. Not from the area, but if I were, Nytro for sure would be my bike shop of choice.

Awesome store, hands down. Knowledgeable and helpful. They stock the most up-to-date gear and bikes. The sell so much high-end bikes that they’re able to get their stock at a cost below what other shops pay and are willing to pass along the savings to the customer. Also, employees take the time to casually chat about bikes, rides, and races with customers.

There are a lot of bike shops in San Diego, but Nytro is at the top of my list. Mike is the absolute best. He seriously is. If you want someone who has a vast amount of knowledge in tri bikes, road bikes, bike fit, triathlons, saddles, cleats, etc. then Mike is your man. As a woman I find it a little difficult to be taken seriously in some bike shops, but Mike treats me as I should be treated and that makes me feel validated as a customer. He goes out of his way to make sure that I am getting the help that I need, and that is what keeps me coming back. Not only do I like Mike and Nytro, but my whole Triathlon team chooses this shop as «The Shop» because of the great quality of service that we all receive. Great staff, great inventory, and great location.

My group of retired friends, all from AT&T, decided to take a nice costal bike ride this last week. Our bikes are retirement gifts, childhood left overs & thrift shop finds. When one of the tires blew up a block away we stopped in to get the tire fixed. What a pleasure Joe & Kenyon were. Kenyon got the tire replaced & ready to go in a short few minutes. I picked up my free water bottle for checking in & they had some a box of free little bells that I picked up a couple of. Friendly, courteous & welcoming to their nice shop. Price of tire and labor was fair. Thanks guys.

Thanks Joe! I haven’t been in a while, and it was really nice to be greeted as a friend. And I was really stoked to get my broken bike back on the road. I couldn’t ask for more than a good supply of parts, reasonable price, and friendly staff. I wish you guys and gals all the success!

I’d like to start this review by saying, Thank you to Dave at Nytro! I have been an avid cyclist my entire life and had been riding the same bike I rode when racing competitively back in High School for the past 15 years. Needless to say I was in the market for a new ride, one that will hopefully last me another 15 years or so. Dave was a huge part of my search and purchase from beginning to end and he really knows his stuff. Things have changed drastically in the bike world since I last bought one and he was able to walk me through all the important new changes that I would soon come to see. Dave and I both agreed that a Cervelo road bike best fit my riding style and budget and he was instrumental in finding me the right size and geometry too. The bikes that Nytro carry are beautiful machines and the service you’ll receive is like that of a 5 star resort where every question gets answered and every need addressed regardless of which bike your in the market for. My passion for riding has reached an all time high as of now, almost 20 years into my riding career. I’ve never felt so excited to get up and go for a ride all thanks to the team at Nytro. I would highly recommend this shop if your just starting out and need some guidance or you’re a seasoned pro and want to explore more options with a staff that fully understands every nuance of the cycling galaxy.

This review will probably be most applicable for a first-time cyclist. I had a truly awesome experience buying my first road bike here. From the moment I walked in, the guys that work here were friendly and knowledgeable. I found out quickly that cycling has a language all its own and there are a lot of equipment and accessories involved. I never felt liked I was being talked down to because I didn’t understand bikes that well. I worked with Tim and he educated me on the specifics of different types of bikes and equipment. He helped me stay within my budget and didn’t pressure me to buy anything I didn’t want. I asked a lot of questions and got good answers. After I picked out my bike he fitted it for me. I found out that if a bike is not fitted to the rider, no matter how good the rider or the bike, it won’t work efficiently. He also helped my pick out my shoes, clothing, and other accessories. I left feeling good about my bike and the price. After riding for about a week, I biked back here and they made some minor adjustments(I fell into a car and thought I might have broken my rear derailer hanger). Tim also did a quick refit for me just to make sure everything was fitting together naturally. If it is your first bike, remember, the shoes and peddles are very important. If you get the clipless they also take some getting used to. I was told I would fall, but I was confident I wouldn’t. Pride comes before a fall and all that. It doesn’t hurt too bad and it doesn’t take very long until they become second nature. Once you get the hang of it, road biking is so much fun. Overall, great experience at Nytro.

I am pleased to write this review for Nytro. Nytro has the best team of skilled bike mechanics. I recently bought a new Cervelo P3 and the hydraulic brakes are sensitive(although awesome). The bike mechanics at Nytro have a thorough knowledge of how to work with them, in changing from race wheels to regular wheels, in making sure I had the proper brake pads and even not laughing at me when I didn’t fully understand how they work! The staff has been extremely helpful, friendly and if you have the pleasure of working with Skip the owner, he’ll take great care of you. Bobbie is my favorite bike mechanic but they are ALL good! Great place to purchase a bike, equipment or have your bike worked on. Gina C.

I have been a nytro customer for the past 6 years. I bought my first road bike from Harvey way back then and have since purchased many bikes from them. In that time, I have become friends with many of the employees and always make a point to stop by when riding up the coast to catch up. Harvey, DH, Lindsey, Rich, Matt, Russ have all been great to me and I highly recommend stopping in to get rolling on a new bike.

Nytro is my go to for everything I need for my road bike. I purchased a Cannondale Evo last year from Michael and Harvey. Both advised me in the right direction and got me into the bike that was best for my needs. i was pretty set on getting a Cervelo which was a more expensive bike but they spent the time with me to make sure everything was perfect. I was very impressed with their attention to detail in the sales process. After riding it a few times, I had to take it in for some adjustments and they were always more then willing to help. Great group of guys that are all friendly and knowledgable. I have since purchased a number of accessories(quickly becoming addicted to the gear!) and they always have the stuff I am looking for. Thank you for always making my experience with your store a positive one!

So I read the other reviews which made me somewhat apprehensive about going to this store. About me: Middle aged; male; have ridden(not raced) bikes for a number of years; a confident person in life and business; wanted to upgrade from my(Trek) bike of 7 years. I had done extensive(on line and in competing stores) research prior to going to Nytro. I went there specifically because they are the local Cervelo dealer. I had also been to the Trek store(s) as well as stores caring competing brands. The good: Harvey(Lee) was excellent. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and wants you to have a great experience and enjoy your new bike. Harvey was willing to work with me over 2 – 3 visits to see that I was matched up with the correct bike. Mike, though more soft-spoken, tried very hard to be helpful on some of the follow through items. The shop needs to make a profit, however they were willing to discount(slightly) from«list» price. Like cars, you should not need to pay list, because the shops have a significant profit margin built into the list price. So my Cervelo was not the cheapest in the country, but fair. The bad: The people in the service department could really benefit from a friendliness pill. They are pretty standoffish, and give the appearance that they wish you would just go away and let them race, or whatever it is they do in their free time. I am not trying to be harsh, but come on guys, — the customers are the ones making possible your paycheck. Try to make them feel that you want to help them solve their problems. They were supposed to call me when my bike was ready. They failed to to so, then on the order next to my number wrote«wrong number», — it was in fact my number so either they dialed it incorrectly(multiple times???) and gave up, or never called. They also couldn’t(initially) find the parts taken off my bike(which were brand new). Conclusion: I love the bike. It is a great match for me. I paid a fair price for it. Unless Harvey takes a personal interest, I have a very low confidence level in the follow-on service.

I’ve been to this shop to get help from their mechanics on two separate occasions. Both times they were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Pricing is not cheap, but fair. I would recommend their service department to a friend without hesitation. See for yourself — The cleanliness and organization of the service area speaks volumes IMHO.

I ride a road bike about 200 miles/week and I have had a problem with my shoes rubbing against my cranks and my knees were sore. I went to nytro thinking I needed a new set/system of pedals which was going to run into the hundreds of dollars. The guys at nytro were very friendly and showed me that I had my cleats were incorrectly mounted and didn’t need new pedals. After adjusting my cleats for me my shoes are no longer rubbing and the knee pain I was developing is gone. Knock wood that it stays gone. I’m glad to be enjoying my bike again and want to profusely thank Nytro staff very much for their service.

I was at Nytro’s booth at the IM Village Oceanside, and I saw a mechanic test riding a customer’s bike very aggressively. So aggressively, in fact, that he crashed the late model Cannondale Slice in front of a crowd of people. When he got up, he gave the pedestrians a dirty look as if it was their fault for causing him to crash. What?! I sure hope he owns up to the damage he caused to this customer’s expensive triathlon bike.

Still is a top notch store! In fact I bought another bike and built it 90% to my liking in a so so timely manner. I blame the super high tech pain in the bottom bicycle before mine that took days to fix. Anyway while I waited, Harvey fitted me on a cervelo S3 Udi2 to try out just because I’ve always wanted to ride one so i did for over and hour from the store all the way to Torrey pines ;) I will definitely come back for more longgg test rides

I’ve gone in this shop several times thinking since it’s a tri shop hoping to not only find the right equipment but also some advice. Since I’ve been doing tris since 1987, I do know a little about the sport but I’m always trying to learn. I’m not sure what the business model for this store is and therefore the selection of the sales staff, but evidently I don’t fit the demographic of the type of customer they are looking for. If(and I mean IF — not when) a sales person talks to me, they are abrupt, bordering rude, and not very helpfull. I would strongly recommend visiting Endurance House, Trek or B+L. They all not only have good equipment and prices but very helpful and friendly staff.
