I was referred to Tamera by a co-​worker and was not disappointed. Not only is she amazing at her craft, but the experience with her is personable and educational. She was able to educate me about my hair and what may have happened incorrectly during my last cut. I wanted to keep the same coloring style I has before, but she was able to further tailor the color to what I wanted to see in my hair. I cannot wait to be back in her chair in a couple months. She used amazing products and did not hard sell you on using them. I cannot stress what a wonderful experience I had. Thank you Tamera!

Tamara was extremely helpful in explaining the way my hair grows and what might be best style wise so that I’m not constantly fighting with it. She went through my hair small section by section to give me the best hair cut I’ve had in a long time. She stopped to ask me questions and made sure I was comfortable with everything she was doing. She even noticed that I had recently dyed my own hair and offered tips on how to improve the outcome rather than push for me to have her do it professionally which I appreciated. She is very knowledgeable and really easy to talk to. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in her suite and love my hair cut. I’m so happy to have finally found someone that I can now refer to as «my hairdresser». The only thing keeping me from giving her 5 stars is the price. $ 50 for a hair cut is a little steep and there are no discounts for combined services such as color/​highlights.

I have seen Tamara many times now to have my hair cut and colored (the first time was before my wedding and she worked wonders to fix a bad color job). She is excellent with color — I always love my highlights! The way her salon works is really great too because you have privacy — I even brought my 3 month old niece with me, while I was babysitting, and Tamara even dimmed the lights a bit and played lullabies for her so that I could relax too. Tamara is great to talk with and excellent at what she does!

I never Unilocal,but Tamara is awesome and I feel she deserves an internet shout out. I am a working professional who travels often. Tamara always makes sure that my hair is manageable for me to keep up on, and is accommodating of my busy schedule. She is always very friendly, professional, and welcoming. Her studio is great because I’m not bombarded with the noise and craziness of a large salon. It’s nice for me to go there and read all of the latest magazines that I never have time to read. Over the years, we have experimented with color. I’ve gone from really dark brown to blond (my natural color is, in my opinion, a boring light brown), and she always somehow keeps my hair healthy through it all. I have finally settled on natural looking highlights that are a few shades above my natural color. She can do normal foil highlights and balayage highlights. I think she is one of the only stylists in San Diego that knows the balayage technique. Whatever we decide to do, I always feel beautiful and get compliments on my hair. She calls it «20 year old hair» because she puts conditioning treatments on your hair as part of the service that makes your hair feel like that of a 20 year old. And it’s true! I feel like I get real value because she doesn’t nickle and dime me for the extra products and treatments that she uses – it’s just how she does hair. As a result, my hair is always in great condition. Never frizzy or brassy. Also, she cuts my husband’s hair, and he feels comfortable with her too and makes his hair look great. She is a true professional. I highly recommend Parris Salon.

Sola Salon is basically like a small village of salons. The place was really cute and welcoming and each salon owner has his or her own «suite.» I arrived promptly for my appointment with Tamara, the owner of Parris Salon. She asked me some questions about how I style my hair and what my concerns are. She looked at the different layers and made some suggestions based on what I said my ideal hairstyle was.
She spent a lot of time re-​layering my hair because my hair had lost its shape completely. I was really pleased with my new haircut and my friends complimented my new hair the following day. This woman knows what she’s doing so if you are looking for a new person, definitely try it out!
