Moved from Chicago to San Diego 4 years ago and the foods I’ve missed most are Chicago pizza and Italian Beef. Rosati’s has both and I finally got to try them. The thin crust pizza was pretty good(never been a deep dish guy). The beef was a little salty and too light on Italian seasoning. The sweet/bell peppers were charred burnt, but the bread and giardiniera were great. The sandwich fell short of the Chicago standards like Maxwell’s, Al’s, Portillo’s or Buona Beef, but I’ll be back to give it another chance. Hopefully the 2nd time around will taste more like home.

Great food, great beer, awesome atmosphere! I come in for the lunch specials 2 – 3 times a week and have yet to be disappointed by a single thing I have tried. This place has an amazing beer menu board with top quality local micro brews and the pints are around 2 bucks cheaper than the vast majority of brew pubs in North County. Need info on a beer or help selecting something to meet your tastes? Talk to the beertender with the giant beard, this guy knows his stuff and has yet to steer me wrong. If you have the time order a calzone, takes a little longer but it SO worth it. 5 stars, I love this place!!!

Five stars for great pizza! –1 Star for really bad pasta –1 Star for crappy delivery service –1 Star because when we called to tell them(nicely, I swear) about their poor delivery service my husband thought it should have been handled far better. And he’s right. Sadly, I’m not sure it’s worth it for us to keep coming back here. We have been here about 5 times. 1st experience. Called for delivery.(We live 5 minutes away) About 45 minutes into our«1 hr» wait, they called us and said they were too busy to deliver our pizza and we maybe should consider coming to get it. But the pizza was GOOD. 2nd visit. Stopped for dinner after work. Was craving pasta. Well Rosati’s recipe for success here is mushy pasta and something likely out of a jar. Tada! Dollar store quality ingredients for $ 15. 3rd and 4th visit. We had company and treated to Rosatis. Learning from past experience, we picked up our hot and delicious pizza. 5th visit. Ordered pizza delivery. It’s a Thursday night, can’t be too busy right? Well my quoted 45 – 50 minute delivery turned into 1 ½ hours and the pizza that was delivered was lukewarm. Since I live so close it was obviously either sitting there done waiting to be delivered, or the delivery guy decided to take his lunch break with my pizza in his car. Either way, this is not acceptable at more than $ 30 a pizza. We called, and my husband nicely explained the situation and was offered a $ 10 credit. My husband asked if that was the best she could do, and she offered to remake the pizza and deliver it. At 7:30 at night, I’m sure we will want to wait for a new pizza fo r dinner :( At the price of this pizza I shouldn’t have to warm it up in the oven upon arrival. Even Dominoes gets it to us hot and in under an hour. Next time we want pizza we will probably try somewhere else. What a shame because the pizza is good. But they really need to get it together on their delivery and customer service.

We randomly stopped in here and was immediately welcomed by Mike, who was awesome. Scott was working as well, also very nice and funny. We got the Buffalo chicken salad, little garlic bread bites(free with check in on Unilocal), the loaded fries and a ten inch deep dish. Waaay too much food! Looks like we have dinner too! Salad was ok, the garlic bread bites were amazing, the fries were ok and the deep dish was yummy. Mike said to try the thin crust next time. Will doGood vibes, laid back, good atmosphere appealing to all ages, and good food. Keep it up guys and thanks!

Good food nice staff terrible management. There were over 50 customers in the restaurant and only one waiter and one bartender. It took an hour to get one small pizza.

Stopped by on a very busy night! Every table in the house was full but the wait was only about 15min. We sat in the back of the restaurant close to the windows, very nice high tables back there. I really enjoy the laid back atmosphere and vibe of this restaurant. Hipster mixed with family love, great combo. We both enjoyed some beer while waiting for all the food we ordered. Since we checked-in on Unilocal,we received a basket of dough nuggets for free. This sadly took half an hour to arrive at our table. I ordered a calzone for my dinner and my husband ordered the penne pasta with sausage. He couldn’t make up his mind between two different dishes, so the server suggested combined the best thing from each dish. He really enjoyed the vodka sauce, it added a tremendous amount of flavor to the dish. My calzone was ginormous! I could only finish about half of it, excellent dish if you want left overs for lunch the next day. The only con about this restaurant was it took half an hour to get our appetizer and another 15 min to get out main dishes. Once the food was dropped, we never saw our server again until she dropped the check off. That means no refills of water and no second beer. By the time we left, the restaurant had emptied out, so there really was no excuse to ignore us. Our server was very friendly, when she took our order. I will totally be back to try out a few other dishes, and I’m hoping to get better serve.

Best pizza in Encinitas hands down!!! Really great service and decently priced. I’m a sauce girl and they nail it here along with the ranch dressing. Both perfecto!!! My husband likes deep dish and I like a thinner crust. Here we both get our way. They have lots of beers on tap and a nice variety of wine. Tuesday they have live music. This has definitely been added to my rotation of places I like to hang at.

Sorry Rosati’s that I forgot to put in my review at the time of YEE in February! I’m so glad that I was able to attend because I have found a great place to have some delicious pizza and beer whenever in the area! The salad that were available at the time of the event were just as delicious, but I have to honestly say that the pizza’s that were sampled out were amazingly yummy. Full of flavor and plenty of toppings to make me a happy camper. The patio is a plus if you want to be outdoors. Although the patio is along the main street you don’t notice the passing cars. The patio is lined with market lights which always adds a nice ambiance to the area. There is plenty of seating indoors as well with TV screens to view. At the time of our event in the middle of the week, the place had quite a few customers. It’s a happen place even during the middle of the week. We had the chance to meet the owners and they were very friendly and very proud of their business and proud to be able to support their community in means of sponsoring Little Leagues. Although, I thought to have tried a lot of the pizza’s they sampled, they offer a wide variety of dishes on the menu that I hope to try someday soon. Oh, and the owner said to come check the place out on Tuesday’s when they have live music, and come early, the place fills up quick! Also a good thing to know, they observe Happy Hour! I’ll be back!

After some initial issues with service and food prep times, Rosati’s seems to have really come into it’s own. Offering the only source of local Chicago style deep dish pizzas, I’ve found myself craving Rosati’s pretty often. The sauce is delicious, and the deep dish is well executed. The regular pizza is adequate, although they got our toppings wrong on our last visit and dumped green peppers all over it. Like a truck load of green peppers. Rosati’s has a nice long L shaped bar and has really upped their game with local craft beers. My latest discovery is their fantastic lunch specials. For ten bucks, you can snag an outstanding Italian Beef sandwich and a soda. They’ve also got pizza by the slice with a soda for under $ 5. It’s quick, it’s cheap, and it’s delicious. This place is getting slammed on the weekends, and for good reason. The food and the atmosphere is great for a family dinner out.

Absolutely in love! Not a huge pizza fan, however since my hubby introduced me to this new spot definitely changing my mind. So far we have dined in and had delivery service both went very smoothly. Keep in my the Chicago style pizza(super bomb) takes 30 – 40 minutes to cook. But it is 100% worth it.

Grew up in restaurants. First time, waited over an hour for food, but, hey. Second time was better, sat next to kitchen and bar. Third time, had to get up to ask for someone to serve us. Today, just walked out because no one served us. Sat there for more than 15 minutes with our menus. Watched the waitress pass us four times. Servers and manager just chatted it up while we walked out the door. Sad. This place could be so successful. Location, food, beer – all good. Bad service will kill a restaurant. Thought owners should know.

I first checked out Rosati’s during a Unilocal!Elite event. Since then, we’ve dined there 2 times and gotten take out a 3rd. The pizza is delicious; probably the best I’ve had in North County. Chicago style thin crust is freaking awesome. It’s crispy, full of flavor and loaded with toppings. Their chicken wings(I ask for cooked crispy) are solid. There’s a good amount of meat on the bones and the sauce is the right blend of tangy and spicy. The craft beer selection is one of the best in the area, second only to the Regal Seagull, IMO. The selection changes but there are always some familiar handles. The beertenders don’t have a problem getting you a little sample of whatever before you buy. That should be standard, but Rosati’s gets points for doing so. The happy hour is $ 4 beers 3 – 7 M-F(there’s a few that don’t get HH pricing, but the selection is still large enough you can find something you’ll like). They have half price apps too. The beertenders/managers/waiters are all super friendly and they know the menu well. The place is clean and modern. Thank you for coming to North County and saving us from bad pizza!

I can’t yet vouch for the food, but I had a great local craft beer(Green Flash Passion Kicker) on a reheheheally good happy hour price, served to me by the owner, Debbie. Patio, down to earth décor. Chicago/Midwest bar, you’ve got my business.

I have been searching for a place that serves the Chicago style deep dish pizza. Previously if I had a craving, I had to go to San Diego to pick up. This place is the only one I have found in North County that makes Chicago Style and also makes it right! The pizza was awesome. I had called in the order and asked for non baked so I could cook later for dinner. The lady who helped me was fantastic, very helpful and personable. She suggested par cook — which we did. Later I cooked in my oven at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes and it turned out perfect. Finally a place locally for my favorite type of pizza.

Went yesterday, wanted my wife to check it out after the YEE this week! We showed up at a GREAT time(around 1:30 pm), the place had just a few customers. LOTS of tv’s for watching golf and the news simultaneously. Nick got us taken care of with a glass of Strongbow hard cider for me(pint/$ 6.00) and iced tea for her($ 2.29). My lovely and lively dining companion chose the Harvest Salad w/Chicken($ 9.99/$ 2.00) with the signature sweet Italian dressing, which I very much liked. She said it was«fresh and light, without skimping on flavors, and tasted like it was actually crafted in the kitchen by a person, rather than being poured out of a bag». I had the wings, hot buffalo sauce, 6 piece($ 7.59)…the sauce was medium hot compared to pretty much every other place you go, and that was fine by me… just keep it in mind. The over the top awsome came with my four-topping, gluten free crust pizza($ 10.99+$ 1.50EACH topping=$ 16.99). It’s a 10″ pizza, and MORE than enough for a big eater. I got sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and onion. This pizza was assembled and cooked to perfection, and it is without reservation, the BEST gluten free pizza that I have eaten on the west coast, and one of the best pizzas I have eaten anywhere. The crust was thin and crispy(tip: ask for it crispy), did not taste gluten free, but it was, trust me! The sauce is created in Heaven and brought down for us mortals to enjoy. On THIS occasion, I swear there was a hint of cinnamon in there. Cheese-brought in from the midwest, and lots of it, um… double up… umm-mmm! Toppings…REAL Italian style sausage, and the rest, just amazing as well! Bill was $ 56.45 with a generous tip, and will be back to Rosati’s just as soon as I can!

Pizza, beer, pasta and salad… Amazing! If you’re looking for great tasting food at reasonable prices not too far from the beach, this place is for you. A great family spot to catch a game, enjoy a meal and throw back a few adult beverages… Their the crust pizza is delicious! I’ve tried other Chicago Style places from San Diego to Vegas and can’t wait to try it in Chicago… This place is the real deal. Service is great and the everyone seems to be having a great time. The patio is huge and the dining area is a good size for a party of two or ten! If you’re in the area or even stuck in traffic, take a break and enjoy some live music(on Tuesdays) an ice cold beer and a hot pizza! Love this spot and can’t wait to come back with my wife and friends.

I love pizza. Who doesn’t? I love Chicago style pizza even more. So when I found out the new«Rosati’s Pizza» down the street makes Chicago pizza I was excited. Having had my fill of pizza on Superbowl Sunday I laid off it for a few weeks until yesterday. A bit lazy from a late night on Friday out with friends, I started craving it again. Well, I finally looked up the menu online and ordered a saucy, thick, deep, cheesy, Pepperoni, Chicago style pizza to go. About 45 minutes and it would be ready. I sat at home wondering what it would be like. Would it live up to my expectations? Would it be as good as the last that I had at a far away pizzaria? Would I survive my hunger? Yes, yes, and yes!!! It is everything I wanted. I am so glad Rosati’s is just down the street. I’ll be getting pizza here for years to come, I just know it. Check out their menu they have it all… Calzones, salads, pasta dishes, hot wings, breaded mushrooms, cheesy garlic bread… Oh mamamia. I am getting hungry again. Seriously, I want to go again and it’s been less than 24 hours. Do I need an excuse to go again today? I hope not. I think I want a meatball sandwich.

I like this place, good location and friendly workers. Glad they got their beer menu established and looking forward to them getting creative and rotating the drafts. I’ll definitely be back. We started with the dough nuggets which are puffs of dough and make a good addictive starter especially for children as they are plain and good for sipping on pizza sauce. Tried a Dee dish sausage and spinach pizza — the toppings and sauce were good, but the crust was a little bland — wish it had some cornmeal or something to make it more flavorful. I need to try the Italian Beef and sausage combo sandwich next time, I do hope it’s good.
