This store has speciality paint and help that is not available anywhere else.

I’m not sure if the other two reviewers were in the same store as I have been visiting for over 25 years. This store has always treated the customers (those that I have witnessed), my clients, and myself with the greatest professionalism in the business. I have been to most all the other brands stores in the San Diego area and by far this store has the best crew on a regular basis. If there has been any problem, the existing staff have been quick to fix it in a hurry. The color matching is right on and the product knowledge is above most. Mark and Joel are both great employees and the manager, Craig, has always been helpful to all that I have witnessed. The comparison to Sherwin Williams is invalid as the customer service at this store is not bad but definitely not comparable to Vista. The store hours are listed and I have seen the crew work after hours with customers and contractors with reasonable expectations.
So, if you want good service, professional product knowledge, and great products, don’t hesitate to go the Vista Paints, Encinitas, CA.

Joels is one of those people who watches the clock doesnt care about customer service. He acts like he is doing people a favor when they come in and they should be thanking him for being open. Dont bother trying to get creative solutions for this nit wit. No wonder my wife prefers Sherwin Williams which is right across the street.

Well, I haven’t ever been treated as poorly by a store or person as this one. I arrived at 5:02, (because the manager agreed) to pick up samples. Mark G, an extraordinarily rude employee, chastised me, actually yelled for not coming earlier. He blasted me for not being there before 5:00, even though i had just called 10 minutes before and the manager had agreed to prepare the samples to pick up then. He shot his mouth off before he knew that he shouldn’t. I won’t buy paint from them, I’ll drive a further distance to spend my money, Vista Paints lost painting a 7000 sq ft house because of a big mouth employee.
