My son referred me to this restaurant.(I’m from out of town.) He said it’s the best in The Valley. I’m sure he’s right because dinner was delicious. I ordered Lamb Tikka Masala; my dinner companion had Curry Chicken. Yum! Décor is lovely. Wait staff was really attentive. Biggest surprise Was the reasonable prices. This restaurant has lots of free parking, too. Dress is casual.

One good thing about this place is the spice level I can choose for my dish. I am a very extra spicy eater and this place hits the spot! Chicken tikka masala is delicious and let’s not forget about the naan here. Only thing I do wish, is an all you can eat buffet would be nice I look forward to try more of dishes they have. Lunch menu is just the right portion for one person who doesn’t have a big appetite.

This place is amazing — am in the middle of my meal right now and had to stop and write this review, it’s just that delicious. I ordered the Saag Paneer dinner which comes with salad, rice, and your choice of(chai) tea or coffee. I got an iced tea and ordered naan on the side. I got the Paneer on the mild side. As soon as I took one bite of the Saag Paneer I kept saying out loud to my husband, «I am in heaven; I am in heaven!» The paneer is just so fresh and delightful. I have had Saag Paneer before at other restaurants but it usually tastes and looks like it’s been sitting in a pot for a long time — dark green color. When I saw this dish, the spinach actually looked like it had just been cooked and the flavors were just perfectly blended. My husband got the lamb Tikka Masala and he loved his dish, saying it was very tender and melts in his mouth. «Every piece is like its own meal.» This place is my new go-to for Indian. It’s also like stepping into an oasis removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. Love the food, the service jand the ambiance! p. s. To the woman who wrote a bad review saying the cheese in Saag Paneer was tofu, it most definitely is cheese — Indian cheese has the same appearance of tofu but they never use tofu in their food!

This was the first Indian restaurant I ever went to and it remains the best. I’ve yet to order a dish I dislike from here; if I didn’t like something, it was due to the texture and not the seasoning. Seriously. Best Indian in the valley. The service here is always courteous and prompt, even when I come in just for take out. If you order spicy – know that you are ordering something damn spicy. The food always has flavor no matter the spice level, but the spicy WILL punch you in the mouth. Tip: Don’t order from online. Something inevitably gets screwed up when you order online and it does create a hassle for you – especially with delivery. Phoned in orders have always worked perfectly.

Anarbagh is considered, one of the BEST, if not, the best, in authentic Indian Cuisine. The spices and aroma combined with taste is unmatched in The Valley. The Mattar Paneer, Saag Paneer, Naan, Dahl, Samosas, everything on the menu is a Must Try This! They also offer Indian beer and a good wine selection. The servers, chef, and managers are genuinely friendly. It’s a nice source in dining for healthy food choices, authentic creations and excellent service.

The food here is sooooo good. Best Chicken Tikka Masala. I always eat too much of it cause I just can’t stop. :-) Love the naan with raisins and coconut. The iced tea is just addictive. Atmosphere is nice in the restaurant and the service is always good. Had delivery today and the food looked and tasted as good as when served at the restaurant. I’m relatively new to eating Indian food so I’ve got lots of dishes to look forward to trying.

Delicious. Tikka chicken, soup, hot tea, saffron on the large serving of home style white rice make a great meal. Great service a plus. Taking drink order so you buy a $ 3.70 ice tea prior to getting a menu and not changing it to hot or substituting hot for cold down right money grabbers. Everything cost more. Another cracker costs more, a roll, Expected a charge for restroom flush. Food is delicious but they are a little much with the extra charges. Will be back but now I know.

Meh… –_– I’ve been here once before and I loved the food so tonight I decided to order dinner from them. They had free delivery which is a super bonus! And the food arrived within 30 minutes I would say. I ordered Eggplant Bharta, Sag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala and Naan. Everything was good enough but I’ve had so much better. The problem was the Sag Paneer, it had no paneer, but tofu instead!!! I don’t know who is running this place but this is absolutely unacceptable and dangerous!!! First of all, if I ordered paneer and paid for paneer, I want paneer. If you’re gonna substitute it, you better mention it in the description on the menu, which you didn’t!!! Second of all, a lot of people have soy allergies and the fact that you put tofu in the food without mentioning it, is so stupid and dangerous and UNETHICAL that I’m seriously shocked! Shame on you! Not only did you ruin my dinner but you’re risking your customers health. I just can’t get over it!!! I’m gonna get a refund and I will never be back!!! So stupid!

This place must cater to the non-Indian clientele. The food is incredibly bland. Lacking in spice and flavor. I can appreciate bland, but Indian food isnt bland! The food is good, but needed some more spices or salt badly! The service was really good that is why I am giving an extra star, but their super bland food will not be bringing us back — two stars for the food. Also, thank goodness the portions were small! We tried: Saag Paneer: Spanish and cheese curry. Good but needed salt. Lacking flavor. Aloo Gobi: cauliflower and potato curry. Bland and watery. Chicken Tikka Masala: creamy tomato based curry. Very good, but we requested«spicy», and it was very mild. Tandoori Chicken: Indian bbq chicken marinated in yogurt and spices. Too dry for my taste, but my husband loved it and thought it was flavorful. Chicken Curry: Chicken simmered in curry spices. Bland, but good if you add salt. Garlic Naan: Good. Standard. Samosas: Fried potato curry dumpling. Very good. I really wanted to like it because again the service was good and the ambiance wasn’t bad. But I’d rather go to a dive or hole-in-the-wall Indian restaurant with excellent food, than a semi-fancy one with mediocre food. Sorry Anarbagh.

The best food, best service, beautiful restaurant with a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Everything I’ve tried here over the years has consistently been delicious… hands down best Indian food I’ve had in LA(not just the Valley). Some outstanding favorites include garlic naan, lamb samosas, chicken tikka masala, mango chutney, raita, chicken tikka, chana masala, & saag paneer. The service here is always top notch too. Attentive, friendly, professional… they take pride in their work & it shows in the high quality of the food and customer service. Whether you’re dining in or picking up, you’ll have a great experience in every aspect!

I rarely give 5 stars. For me, 5 stars means there is NOTHING to dislike. PRO’s 1. Host/Waiter, gave a prompt, friendly welcome at the door. 2. Waiter immediately took drink order and suggested Chai tea. We ordered 3 Tea’s(which everyone liked). Not all Chai teas are the same! 3. The waiter kept our drinks topped so we never had to ask for drinks. 4. The food was excellent; We had; Chicken Tikka, Chicken Tikka Masala, eggplant(Baingan Baharta), vegetable Birani rice. The waiter asked if we would like dishes Mild, medium, or spicy and each dish arrived perfectly spiced to request! 5. The ambiance was appropriately indian with quiet, pleasant indian music playing through the speakers. There was a perfect balance of backround noise(too quiet and a restaurant has no energy, too loud and you cant hear each other without yelling). Anarbagh was perfect. Even though our sons were sitting with us, it was surprisingly romantic! 6. There are probably cheaper indian food restaurants but rarely do you get what you pay for. This time we did… in a good way! Cons– I’m sitting here trying my hardest to think of anything to pick apart from our visit… ok just thought of something. They didn’t have that after dinner spice/herb stuff most indian restaurants have in a little bowl when you leave.
We all left feeling well fed, and happy with our time there. As we left, the host also gave me a discount card for our next visit.

Ambience: 3 –We entered through a back door in the parking lot, which had trash and pillows sitting on the cement, and walked right in past the bathroom. The waiter spoke with us about the sister restaurants and was telling us about the West Hills location and how beautiful it is; seemed like he wasn’t even impressed. Price: 4– There is a 15% off discount, but it doesn’t apply to parts of the menu and it is an after tax discount. For the amount of food we received, it was a good price. Food: 3.5– Ordered the Mushroom Bhaje(3) Chicken Tandoori(4.5) Lamb with Mango Sauce(3.5). The naan wasn’t the best I’ve had. kheer was great and tea was better than most places. Service: 4– Waiter and manager were very kind. We asked multiple times for tea at the end of the meal, but otherwise they were on point.

This is based on last 2times experiences. Visited on busy Friday and Saturday dinner time. There were 2weeks term between. The food was good. But, service was horrible. For both 2times visits, service were horrible. It’s understandable for once but for 2times, unacceptable. This shows what this place is. We were waiting around 20min for the seat. Right after we sat, the server asked what we wanted to order. What? At least, give us a minute to open the menu. During 5min, the server was asking 3time if we were ready to order. Around 20min later after we started to eat, they started to bother our conversation and asked we were done. They even tried to take our dish that we were still working on. They finally asked if we wanted to order more or any desserts and dropped the check during we were still having foods. It was only 45 min passed since we sat. After we got all food, it was only 25min passed. Do you expect your customers to finish the whole foods in 25min? This is what happened for the last 2times visiting. No exception. The manager of this restaurant only focuses on turning tables than making customers happy. The manager doesn’t have the basic hospitality knowledge and the right mindset as a person who works in the food and hospital industry. If you want to enjoy foods and having fun conversations with your friends and families for the weekend’s dinner, I strongly recommend to go to other restaurant. But, if you don’t mind to eat in hurry, this is the place to go.

They have daily lunch specials! I ordered the Chicken Masala with salad and naan. My friend ordered the Chicken Tandoori with Basmati rice. The Tandoori was a bit dry, but overall good. Masala was very flavorful. I love that stuff, but be prepared to take a nap afterwards. The naan and basmati rice were good as well. I love naan. Total for us both came out to about $ 20! Plenty of good food without going broke.

Delicious Indian food and tons of options! I have been coming to Anarbagh for lunch for a few months and overall I think it has one of best Indian food in the Encino area. I usually order the lunch special and it has good selection of seafood/veggie/meat. The lunch specials run about $ 8-$ 10 and it comes with rice. The curry is creamy and it has ample amount of shrimps. The rice is plentiful and fluffy. The only challenge for this place is the difficulty in finding parking. The parking spots are really crammed and there are constantly people trying to get in and out which makes trying to a parking spot alone to be difficult. Overall, a nice Indian place and I highly recommend!

I was wanting some Indian food delivered last night and did a search for places that delivered using Seamless. Keep in mind that Seamless shows you the places that deliver food to your house. As always, I checked the reviews and people seemed to be saying that the food is very flavorful. Many reviewers also commented on how the delivery guy was commenting on their tipping amounts. I thought«that’s messed up» but was sure that the restaurant would have got rid of that«one guy.» I worked so many years in the restaurant industry and one golden rule: you don’t comment on customers’ tips. You just don’t. But I figured I’d give them a chance. Ever earlier than expected, the food arrived and I opened the door to a very well dressed guy(looked like he was a waiter, not a delivery driver). I took the bag of food and sure enough, he says that they aren’t supposed to deliver to my area but that he decided to because of my tips. I told him that commenting on my tipping is really odd. He said that he just wanted me to know that I should be pleased, that he was doing me a favor because I tipped 20% that he decided to bring me my food. Think about it for a second: the implication is that if I don’t tip 20%, then I won’t get food delivered to me by a place that both Seamless and GrubHub say delivers to my house. Why the heck is this guy so bent on talking about tips? Easy: he wants to get as much tip money as he can. Now lets talk about the food. It was incredibly flavorful. But be careful. The menu tells you that the Lamb Samosa is a «Crisp turnover stuffed with mildly spiced potatoes and peas.» Nope. It’s just ground lamb deep fried. No potatoes or peas at all. I ordered the Chicken Makhani due to the high reviews on Unilocal. In my second bite, I had to pull out some grizzle from my mouth. Fourth bite, also had to spit out what seemed like an unchewable type of animal part. The sauce was incredibly rich and flavorful, so much that I felt I couldn’t have more than a few spoons of that dish. About ten minutes later, world war III broke out in my stomach. Gurgling, grumbling, weird noises and sensations. Twenty minutes after eating I had to literally run to the bathroom, where I spent most of the evening. My whole night, last night, was restless due to the gas, the bloated feeling, the pains coming from my stomach. Since my lunch yesterday was some vegetables and crackers/cheese, I know that my bad stomach was caused by my dinner delivery from Anarbagh. I know it without out a doubt. So a fifty dollar dinner delivery will now mostly get thrown away because something they are doing or using is simply not good on the digestion system. Combined with the whole issue about my tipping and them doing me a favor, I simply cannot recommend this place. Perhaps eating in the restaurant is a good experience. The delivery option was expensive, uncomfortable, confrontational, and led to a night with sour stomach. Just be aware.

We picked up our dinner at using the new Unilocal online«Pick Up or Delivery» APP Eat24. It worked like a charm! Anarbagh was delicious. Everything we ordered was piping hot(both temp & spicy), packed perfectly, and cook with love. No, really, you could taste the love. It was so good that the next day I bought TV trays(remember those) so my wife and I will bring in take out every Sunday and watch a movie or football game or whatever. I can thank Anarbagh for our new ritual.

Went here for the first time for a family dinner. My kids had never tried Indian food before and this was a great experience for them. The service is impeccable. The waiters did everything possible to ensure we had a pleasant meal. The food was very flavorful and my kids really loved it. We’ll definitely be back since it’s right in our neighborhood.

Very good service! In fact, one thing I enjoy about Indian food is always expecting good service. That is a must. The sweet lassi was a tiny bit too sweet but very good. The plain parathas are out of this world! Amazing, plus the Karahi Ghosht(Lamb) had a little bit too much ratio of onions, green peppers, than actual meat, so you did get the meat a la carte but in less quantity than expected. I would come back, again and again, simply bc the service is superb. I spoke Punjabi the entire time and the gentleman had asked me where I was from, it’s nice to say Pakistan. And to let them know that it’s understood you expect the best. The lamb was quite good, no fat. No extra bones, i ordered a paratha to go because it was so good, and so hot! I can’t stop talking about the service, very professional and very nice people, you feel at home! Thank you Anarbagh!

We have ordered delivery from here now 3 x in the last month or so. Kind of addicted to their chicken tikka masala and naan bread! Love the masala over rice. My hubby also is a fan of their chicken curry. I can’t get enough. Delivery is typically pretty fast too. Definitely recommend!
