Dana Nails

I have been coming here for years after the recommendation of a friend. Candy does my nails and Helen my toes. They do a wonderful job every time and are warm and welcoming. It’s always a pleasure and I couldn’t recommend them more highly. Everyone in the shop is good and they are all thoughtful, friendly and very nice.

I was very satisfied with my pedicure. It was really well done. The problem with this place is the service. I cannot stand the people that work here. They hardly speak English so it’s really hard to talk to them and tell them what you want your nails to look like. Also, when they like tell you to do stuff during the pedicure like put your feet up, it’s hard to understand what they want you to do. Also I am not a fan of the technology this place has. The buckets that you stuck your feet in are small and cheap and the water is not very warm. Other places have really comfortable buckets that you stick your feet in and are really advanced and good quality. Other then those two cons, I really was satisfied with my pedicure. I recommend this place if you speak good Chinese and you just need to get a good pedicure. But there are defiantly way better nail places with better quality then this one.

I love this place! I have been going to Dana Nails for a few years now. Sandy and Candy are the best for fill, pedicures and special designs. The price is great too!

The WORST establishment I’ve ever been to. I went in just for a polish change for $ 10, which I don’t mind paying when I get a good paint job. The lady who did my polish change was so nice in the beginning. She began to get frustrated when I asked her to clean the polish on my skin. She said she was done after 2 coats that was clumpy and uneven. I asked her to do 1 more coat, she chuckled and rolled her eyes. She completed the last coat and again there was polish all over my cuticles and on the side of my nails. I asked if she could clean them and she said they were clean. I had the $ 10 and tip on the table under my phone. She moved my phone to get the money which I NEVER asked her to do and walked away. I was not planning on tipping her because she was so rude and gave me the worst paint job! I was so close to asking for my tip back but I didn’t want to be as rude as she was. I will NEVER go back to this place and NEVER recommend this place to anyone!

I drive 30 minutes for a mani/​pedi and wax every week; they are the best!!! The ladies are totally professional and very sweet… why else would I drive from West Hollywood to Encino. Been going there for 8 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I have been a client of Dana Nails for the past four years. I have always been happy with the service. Candy, Helen, Rose & Sandy are always so accomodating. If I have ever wanted something fixed/​changed, there is never any hesitation to make it right. When I had my nails done for my wedding, Candy copied the Pinterest pin perfectly.

I just recently started to go to Dana Nails about a year ago and everyone there is SUPER friendly and nice! I always ask for Candy, she does incredible nail designs. She can do anything! I love Dana Nails, I’m never getting my nails done anywhere else!

I don’t know what these poor comments are talking about. I have been coming here for almost 10 years and I have been so happy. My nails look great always. Helen is my nail person. She is effi c ient, clean, and accommodates my spur of the moment appointments

Honestly, this place is not great. They took like 20 min to give me both a mani and a pedi and the lady that did my feet didn’t even scrub. Save your time and spend a few extra dollars to go to a nicer place. Rose, the lady that did my manicure, was very nice though. Still can only give 1 star.

By far one of the worst establishments I’ve ever been to. In particular, Sandy, who multitasked by giving me a scheduled gel manicure and gave a walk-​in client a pedicure. Disgusting.

My friend and I went to Dana’s nails to get a mani and pedi. We thought the price to be very reasonable for what we wanted ($ 37) and decided to give it a try. The mani and pedi were done very quickly with minimal amounts of massaging done. My nails were not filed very well; the edges are not straight nor are they smooth. I will most likely refile them in the next day or so. The nail polish was also applied in a hurried manner and so there are some bits that are left on my skin around my nail.
Overall, I like the friendly atmosphere, but am not a big fan of the quality of the service. This however may be due to the fact that they have a lot of customers and would like to service as many of them as possible.

I thought I would get charged a dollar to use my credit card. Was charged two and my mani pedi was 15 min for both. Not enjoyable at all.

I have been going to Dana Nails for years. 2 years ago I moved to Castaic to raise horses. I tried a few salons in my new area with disappointing results. terribly messy job. no massage. no callus removal. no cuticle work. rude. incredibly overpriced ($ 40 for a paint change on my toes). didn’t put clear base coat on all nails because they were so distracted, and my nails stain. I had a little ribbon painted and two customers pulled me aside and told me to have them redo it but they were so rude, I just coudn’t stand to deal with them. paint on nails chipped off the very next day! we were unhappy. no massage chairs, but spa prices. can’t imagine how this place stays afloat for that service. ***caveat — there is one very sweet lady, a little older, who did my friend’s daughters mani and she was great.** but the overall lack of service and consideration and attention to detail was unfortunate. one of the worst pedis ever for both of us. I actually need to go get it redone elsewhere.

I have been coming here to Helen for 4 years now for my acrylic nails. Helen and Candy both do an awesome job on acrylics. The staff here is really friendly, warm and accommodating with appointment times. And the prices are very reasonable.
In my 4 years of coming here I have NEVER witnessed any improper sterilization, uncleanliness, dirty paper towels being used, etc as one reviewer mentioned! Perhaps that was an old owner. I am generally the last customer here in the evenings (I come on various days of the week) and there is ALWAYS someone cleaning the whole place. In fact Candy (the owner) just gave Dana Nails a makeover by painting the walls, updating the light fixtures, buying new chairs, etc.
Give them a try, and get to know them.
