Ralphs

I recently relocated from New England. I had been shopping at Target prior to finding out about Ralph’s, but this is a much higher quality and lower price grocery shopping. I have been to a couple Ralph’s and this Encino branch is my favorite so far. Parking can be a little tough depending on the time of day, but I’ve always been able to find a spot. Make sure you test out your cart before coming inside, because a lot of them are broken. This Ralph’s is the New England equivalent to an upscale Market Basket. The only thing I am still confused by is whether or not I am suppose to bag my own grocery’s here. but the rewards program is great!

This is a good sized store that I’ve been to many times. It’s always clean, well stocked, and I’ve had no issues. I don’t really come into contact with many employees but people seem to be nice. Can’t really say too much. It’s a market after all…
Pretty easy store to spot right between Lindley Ave and White Oak Avenue.
There’s a pretty big lot so parking should be fairly easy.
Similar to some other stores that I’ve been to there is usually a security guard among the premises.

This is a nice Ralph’s. The lady at the olive bar made us try a bunch of stuff, she was sweet. I do however wish they had Daiya vegan cheese here, very odd that they do not.

I just visited in Ralph store ! I did shopping for the weekend ! I want to thank to three ladies: — Vilma, Cindy and Carla B ! Those ladies were amazing! I got Very good service ! I fell good and i will come here again !

Clean and very pleasant people in this supermarket. I like that there is a Starbucks inside the store and they have a pretty wide variety of stuff. So far everything I needed I was able to find in this store.

I love my Ralph’s! Now they have a Starbucks too! Perfect! Usually very clean and they have everything I need. Great group of people working there. I am usually very happy whenever I ask for help. Pleasantly surprised.

Huge selection ! So many healthy fresh option!
I was at whole foods and I needed liquid smoke — they don’t carry it!?! So I called ralphs and the woman who answered was so pleasant! She checked and even told me the two different kinds they carry!
When I arrived I was shocked how big it was and at their huge selection!
I found so many wonderful things and the staff was amazing!

I’m not going to come back to buy on this location anything, customer service was bad no one answered no one help …

I love Ralph’s lol. Always at the store 5 days a week but all over Ventura Blvd. Quality is fresh and employees are friendly ! My number one grocery store to go: D

This is the best Ralph’s in the Valley area.
It has a great Starbucks, cheese station, hot deli with great food, bakery section and kosher meat section to top it off.
Great device and selection and fresh food always.
Wish their carts were cleaner thought! Lol!

I have never had much of an opinion one way or another about a market (apart from Trader Joe’s, of course!) But this market has something really special– a kick-​ass cheese section.
There must be fifty different cheeses here, most imported, all amazing. They’ve got ten different Goudas, tons of Brie and Camembert, Bellavitanos, goat cheeses, Cheddars and more.
The people who work in this section are really helpful and usually very knowledgeable. They’re happy to cut a sample (or five) for you, and can make valuable recommendations.
I’ve become especially strung out on two different cheeses: a delicious Cotswald with chives and (my favorite) the Merlot Bellavitano. It’s an amazing imported Bellavitano in which the rind is cured in Merlot. So good!
It’s fun to see the giant wheels of cheese and read all the detailed descriptions. And it’s hard to believe all this good stuff is at a Ralph’s in Encino, right?

My neighborhood Ralph’s! They just updated the technology on the self check out so it scans really well. Also they have this thing that scans the bottom of your cart. Very tech savvy Ralph’s! Great warm food section with a large variety and sushi station. Friendly staff. Cute little organic produce section. Good flower selection. Awesome bakery. Let’s just say I’m happy. Also they have a Starbucks that gets pretty busy.

I went shopping there just the other day I had a whole bunch of items and I get home and I see this $ 11 small bottle of Bertolli extralight tasting olive oil which I never even purchased but I guess it was thrown in my bag. What a freaking hassle for $ 11 to go back and get your money back. The bottom line is I will come back here again because I enjoy shopping at Ralph’s but I do not know how this thing got in my bag and I was charge for it

I come here often, it is clean and the employees are always friendly. Yes, Ralph’s is pricey, but hands down they have the best meat selection. Once in awhile you can find some things on sale too. I love their mushroom barely soup in the deli section! The store has a nice lay ot, so everything is easy to find. They always have my favorite ice cream on sale (Tilamook) great stuff, try it! They also have a Starbucks inside, for those needing their coffee fix. Plenty of parking in the lot with Rite-​Aid.

I love it. It’s huge and the people that say there is no parking, just come at a different time! Sweet Jesus. Bc the parking lot is freaking hugeeeeeee. Like massive. So people are just being difficult if they say the parking lot is small, 99% of the time, there will be parking, I promise.
The workers here are so friendly! The cashiers, the managers, the sandwich workers, and the cheese people!

Every few weeks my favorite fruits go on sale so that makes me happy.
also there is a starbucks in here too, which is a plus!
And in terms of produce, yes their produce section is not thaaaat vast, but if you’re really into produce go to whole foods or a freaking farmer’s market. I love trader joe’s, but trader joe’s produce section is freaking tiny, but you don’t give TJ’s a less than star review just bc of their produce. Each store has its own strengths. I think overall it’s a great Ralph’s.

I would have given a better review but unfortunately they have consistently let me down. This place is always packed and the parking is a nightmare because of the imbecile drivers that go through r there. So I go there almost 2 times a week getting groceries and fresh ingredients the past 2 months that I have moved to this side of town and let me say ⁵⁄₁₀ times I have come home with groceries that has either gone bad the next day or they were rotten or bad when I got home. Like what the hellllllll …
The last time that I went there I specifically asked the seafood department of their extra large prawns was fresh and she said yes she has just brought it out of the freezer but I asked because the past 2 weeks they had the same shrimp so i know they can’t be getting a fresh shipment of the same thing that fast and they are expensive so they don’t go as fast either … Long story short I got home which is 1 minute away I put it in the fridge and when I opened my fridge at night it smelled sooooo baddddddd I had to throw almost everything in my fridge out …
And their lettuce has been rotten from inside the past 2 times I have gotten them …

I love the bakery section at this location. There’s always the cakes I like in stock and the display case looks great.
The strawberry shortcake and triple chocolate cake are my favorites.
Overall nice and clean store. Pretty busy most of the time I’ve been here.

Do not eat the prepared foods here!
I saw an employee arrange the grape leaves in a pile in the prepared foods section with her bare hands. She then went over and grabbed her spray cleaner and arranged her empty pans.
This made me not want to eat out anymore seeing this and want to prepare my own food. I stared at her and gave her a look of disgust.

Being the woman of the household, Ralph’s is a place I frequent all the time for groceries. Parking is a breeze because there’s a huge lot. I like coming here in the mornings when it’s not so busy because aisles in this store are really tight.
Items are always stocked, produce is fresh and they have a nice meat selection. They just recently added a cheese shop with so many different types of cheeses to choose from which I think is pretty cool because I like cheese lol.
As far as the hot food to go– I picked up a rotisserie chicken one time and it was probably the worst I’ve tasted. Texture was rubbery and although it looked well seasoned it tasted very bland.
Another awesome thing is that they offer a «build your own 6-​pack» of beers for $ 9.99 which is cool because it allows you to try different kinds.
There’s this one nice guy named Charlie S. that works in the produce department that goes to look in the back stock for me when I ask for green bananas. Other than that I can’t really say anything about customer service because I like to use self check out.
