My experience was similar. My 92-​year-​old mother was RARELY examined by Dr. Kahn-​Rose but rather by nurse practitioners, who did little more than take her BP. The bills, however, reflect charges for physician consultations. Lily, the office manager and wife of Dr. Kahn-​Rose, recently placed a very unprofessional «collections» call to me, out of state, for an account which was NOT delinquent and which she admitted she had not checked first. I am transferring my mother’s care immediately.

However, Dr. Kahn-Rose’s medical care for my 92-​year old mother is appalling at best. He has TWICE prescribed very strong mood stabilizers and, although we’ve pleaded with him to follow up, he NEVER has done that.
She had a bad reaction to one of the meds he prescribed; so bad that my mother became severely disabled and unable to care for herself. Although we called his office multiple times, I had to fly down to L.A., get an emergency visit with Dr. Kahn-​Rose. He saw us for 20-​minutes, and gave her some samples of a med (which worked). But, he has not followed up once, just to check-​in, to see how his patient is doing.
If he cannot give proper care to an elderly patient under his care, then he has an obligation to say so, and an obligation at least to refer us to someone who can give my mother proper care.
His office staff is awful; his wife Lilly doesn’t care; doesn’t follow up; and refuses to help us out by giving Dr. Kahn-​Rose a fax message we send in.
We have sent fax messages that go into my mother’s file which, then, is never opened.
Really bad care for the elderly on medicare.
He’s just scamming folks out of their medicare money in my opinion.

I’ll never go back to this office again. Dr. Kahn-​Rose had me see his nurse practitioner in the office, her office was depressing full of old computer stuff. I had told Dr. Kahn-​Rose in the past that I didn’t care for his NP but he made me see her. After waiting 45 minutes after my appointment time and in their depressed waiting room I was getting upset and anxious. This is a shrinks office, do you need to go there to get more upset and anxious. The NP finally called me in, and didn’t even offer an apology for making me wait, she was condescending to me and on 3 occasions in so many words was calling me a liar. On the 3 occasion I walked out of the office as I wasn’t going to be called a liar. I asked Dr. Kahn-​Rose to call me, I tried to reach him via telephone but his message machine was filled up. I sent him a text asking what he wanted me to do. On Monday I called the office and spoke with the office manager asking someone to get back to me, most importantly I needed a prescription refilled. No one has ever called me back from their offices
Dr. Kahn-​Rose is a shrink. No one should be called (in so many words) a liar abd should not have one of his staff condescending to you, totally unacceptable and I won’t be going back
