I just went through a horrible two weeks of caring for my poor 15 year old cat who was diagnosed with a rare heart disease. After spending thousands of dollars on emergency clinic visits, appointments with cardiologists, tons of medications, I knew that the time I had left with my cat was limited. I called Dr. Chang while all of this was happening and she was very compassionate and walked me through all options. Unfortunately, my cats health deteriorated and I could not watch him suffer. I brought my cat to Dr. Chang to be euthanized and again she was very compassionate and made the process as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend Dr. Chang and her staff and will continue to use their services for my other pets.

What an amazing Vet! The staff was personable and genuine. Dr Chang was incredible with our Cali. She seem to truly care about her and took the time to explain things to us. Unlike other Vets, who would be in a hurry to get us out. My boyfriend and I had some awful experiences with some vets, so it’s comforting to have found one we trust!

Dr Chang and her staff treated my two Persian cats for years, one of which had feline acne and other skin problems. Their loving care and concern kept both of them alive for 14 and 16 years. They are always
Caring and adept with their treatment of all
Animals. I can highly recommend them.

I was coming here for about a year and paid thousands of dollars for nothing! Dr. Chang was useless and kept charging me for a tens of unnecessary tests. She kept selling me horror stories about rare conditions and she kept «testing» for them while my cat was suffering!
Finally I got frustrated with her and took my cat to TWO different vets in the area. BOTH new vets STARTED with the most common test — ALLERGY TESTING!(which Dr. Chang DID NOT do).
My cat has a regular allergy on certain things, I eliminated those, and he is doing much better now.
She will also charge you for follow ups, and will suck every single penny from your pocket! Her prices are significantly higher than other vets in the area.
Save your pet, save yourself the money, and avoid this place.

I went there for the first time today. The Dr; immediately starting discrediting the Dr I have been going to for 12 years. which I think is totally unproffesioable. She also wanted to add shots I didn’t need, flush my dogs ear he. Just has a yeast infection in ear like he has had before with everything she wanted it would be almost $ 200 When I said I will pay office visit and ear med like I came for is was $ 76 She clearly likes to do extra procedures to jack the bill. I didn’t care for her attitude.

After reading some of these reviews, I thought it’s time I added my two cents. Last year I had to put my 16 year old Chow mix, Daisy, to sleep and I was devastated. She had been a patient of the Animal Clinic of Encino her entire 16+ years, beginning before Dr. Chang took over. Once I started seeing Dr. Chang, I knew there would be no one else capable of taking care of my Daisy. Dr. Chang and her staff are not only professional, but caring. When the time came to put Daisy to sleep, Dr. Chang cried right along with me. Now I have a cat who is also a patient of Dr. Chang’s, and it’s almost time for me to adopt another dog who, undoubtedly, will be cared for by Dr. Chang!

I just opened a Unilocal account to review a nail salon but remembered of the most friendliest animal clinic I’ve ever been to. I’ve had so many great experiences there with the amazing Dr. Chong, I’ve recommended this animal clinic to many of my family members and close friends and they’ve also had many great things to say about it. Since my close relatives and I go very often they sometimes give us discounts or in some cases don’t even charge us for some procedures. I definately recommend the clinic and promise they will offer great survices and great care of your pets.

A week ago today, I made an appointment with this clinic because I thought my 19 year old cat was dying. When I saw Dr. Chang & her courteous staff on Tuesday, I really thought we were putting my cat to sleep. While that possibility was discussed (as my cat was in considerable respiratory distress & xray revealed a chest mass; I could not afford a biopsy), Dr. Chang asked to try a cortisone shot to see if it could help her breathe & maybe shrink the mass. I consented & the very sweet techs administered 2 shots; I thought maybe it was a double dose or two part vaccine.
I didn’t realize there was also an antibiotic shot until I saw the bill, but I don’t think this was administered deceptively; Dr. Chang is a very fast thinker. I would have liked to give consent, but at this point my cat is finally eating, breathing better, & even snuggling again. She’s not quite her usual mischievous self, but she gets better every day. I am grateful to Dr. Chang & glad, in retrospect, that she thought to add the other shot & especially to give my cat a chance to heal before ending her life. My only advice would be to make sure all meds given have informed consent before given.
I am thrilled with Dr. Chang & her staff for taking such great care of my little devil angel!

I have been going to Dr. Chang for 17 years! She and her staff are amazing! She is so caring and very knowledgeable! Your pets are in the best care with Dr. Chang! I will never go anywhere else! I have gone through puppies and older pups with her! She is perfect all around! She is a part of the family!

I have been taking my cat here for several years. I LOVE the staff! Dr. Chang is so warm and caring. Even Dr. Chowdry filled in while Dr. Chang was out and she was amazing. I appreciate that Courtney knows my cat by name and not a number. All the staff are professional and warm. They never coerce me to spend money on procedures that are not in the best interest of my cat or my needs. The facility is always clean. I highly recommend!

Today was my first time at this facility. I found it to be great. Dr. Chang is knowledgeable, professional, interesting, reasonable, informed, educated, and in short everything you want your doctor to be. Her technicians and staff were extremely helpful, patient and kind. I was impressed with the office overall. High five!

Lies lies lies! Obviously you will do or say anything to protect up your business. The girls at the front and I know exactly what and how it happened.
You weren’t there TIna, so you wouldn’t know.
Your other reviews that have a bad rating for some reason had the same type of experience I had which is funny.

Just moved to this area and thought I give her a try. My dog wasn’t feeling well and all this office is concerned about is their overpriced charges not the animals coming in. I wish I was still at my other vet where they actually cared. One of the girls working their was ultra rude and the other thought she was funny, you are in a professional environment get your act together. Not sure how they have been surviving with this attitude but I ain’t defiantly going back.

I am shocked!!! Have been going here for years. Never did we have an issue until today. It is Extremely unfortunate that a doctored office can take a turn for the worst over night. They denied my parents sick dog surgery because they asked for the medical records and for some reason choose to include that if I was to ask for my own dogs records they would never see him again. I am not sure Dr. Tina is aware of this as the girls upfront refused to call her so my family can discuss their issues and concerns with her. I am in complete and total disbelief of their behavior. Above all I am hurt.
Stay away. They don’t care about your animals!

I had been very reluctant about finding a vet because I had am of course very protective of my dog. My dog is almost four and hadn’t been anywhere in a while. I am so glad the Unilocalers helped me find this place.
The entire staff was nice, and answered all my questions over the phone and in the clinic. The doc got right down on the floor and sat with my dog while discussing with me. She clearly loves her job. I was very impressed with her and how she treated him.
I did not think they were pricey at all! My dog is a puggle, 19lbs, he got an exam which was only $ 54 and two vaccinations at $ 19 each and I had him microchipped too (big day for my pup!) which was only $ 50 for the microchip. I was very pleased to walk away only spending $ 140.
Overall a great and comfortable experience. This is definitely my new vet.

Dr. Chang and her crew are an example or excellence in the Veterinary field and it makes me so angry to see negative comments about pricing.
They are outstanding professionals not The Red Cross, so perhaps a good time to look at how much it costs to take care of a pet properly is before you get one.
Dr. Chang and her entire team are outstanding and we are very grateful to them.

I can’t imagine a more caring vet clinic anywhere. I originally went to Dr. Chang to get a 2nd opinion when it was suggested that I put my dog down. Not only did she not agree with the other vets but she made it possible for Zoe to spend another 5 full and very happy years with me. Dr. Chang is very thorough and leaves nothing untested before she makes a diagnosis. Her pragmatic approach is very refreshing. If you care about the health of your pets, this is the only vet to visit.

I’ve been to Dr. Chang twice now. She really saved me this time with my foster dog, who I know very little about. She worked with me to manage his pain without forcing any necessary tests. She diagnosed the issue quickly. She even fit me into an already hectic workday!
Dr. Chang was so sweet to my little guy, who did try and bite her… but she realized it was because he was in pain and afraid. We got a muzzle and even had a pretty drama free nail trim.
Very compassionate group of people working there! AND SMART!
