Owned by a very nice couple. When the wife is there she gives very good recipes and tips, I like that kind of service. They have ghondi which not all kosher butchers have, and other premarinated meats that take some of the leg work out for busy moms. Very nice mom n pop spot.

If you want the best kosher meat in town, just go there! Fresh meat and chicken, ready food to take home and one of the most delicious Kabob and very affordable. You can ask him to ground the beef right in front of you and you do not have to wait.

Their meat is always delicious and fresh. I love getting the pre-​marinated chicken and barbecuing it. They really know how to marinate that chicken! The best part is that it is kosher and local. Their prices are better than their competitors in the area and there is never a long line like the kosher supermarkets to get the meat. The butchers are very friendly and sometimes they will make you laugh if you catch them at the right time. They are running a great business!

This place is sooooooo Yummy! What a steal for Kosher lunch or dinner?!? I just split 5 skewers with my husband and kids. 2 chicken 2 beef and one ground beef kabob all were finger licking good. Juicy, fresh and made to order. With kiddos I don’t want to sit and wait for food is rather order and pick up. I did just that. Shalom the butcher and his wife Mimi were so pleasant and generous with the portions I’m DEFINITELY coming back weekly.
My new favorite Kabab joint in LA! Plus, I got meat for the week. Best of both worlds Butchershop and Food to go.

I’ve had nothing but great experiences when it comes to Shalom Kosher Meat and Grill, it’s easily one of the better restaurants in the Encino area.
My most recent experience with Shalom Kosher Meat and Grill was just earlier this week for a last-​minute company Cinco de Mayo celebration and the level at which this restaurant performed was amazing. Due to this being a last-​minute party, we were in need of all the essentials of a traditional outdoor barbecue minus the grill.
The staff at Shalom were able to help by giving spot on suggestions regarding what food to serve and how much of everything we would need to make sure no one went hungry. They were direct with pricing (which perfectly matched our budget) and had our food prepared in time for us to pick up AND still be hot enough to serve at the celebration. The guests at the party loved the food and by the end of the night, there was nothing left!
I’m more than satisfied with the service at Shalom Kosher Meat & Grill. Whenever I need to plan a quick get-​together or just grab some lunch down the road, I’ll know exactly where to go.
