Lots of yummy Gluten free options. I really like their Eggplant Parm that is not deep fried and you can use Diaya cheese.

Came with my girlfriend. Around 4 pm on a Monday, we were the only ones there. Ordered wings and Cesar salad and pepperoni/jalapeño pizza all at once. Salas came very quickly. Very delicious. Would recommend. Wings came after. Weren’t very good. Pizza was delicious. The cheese was great. Would definitely come back. The service was amazing. The lady was extremely nice. One of the best ever.

The pizza was okay but the dessert was so bad that I don’t see myself ever returning or recommending this place. It really made me question the freshness of all of their ingredients. I got an Oreo mousse cake that I was very excited about but was very displeased with. It was freezer burnt and tasted stale, I even had my brother try it and he was grossed out. I would really say this place needs to reevaluate carrying desserts if they are going to be that bad

Alway the best. Have been good by here for years. My go to meal is the house salad with their amazing house dressing and the garlic rolls with butter. Just writing about it makes me want to go therr

Now that I’ve posted, I’ll remember that I don’t ever want to come here for sit-down or take-out ever again. Thanks Unilocal! The pizza wasn’t cooked enough and unbelievable doughy, plus the toppings were mediocre. The pizza could have used two rounds in the toaster. The pasta was clearly store bought and not homemade. The meat sauce was runny, not flavorful, was just plain terrible. Got my food to go, but the inside looked tacky, with hay(or a hay-substitute) on the ground. The interior would have been nicer without. Pluses: The woman at the front was nice, the salad was decent, and the rolls were«ok.» One Unilocaler quizzically wrote, «what pizza is bad?» The answer: you can absolutely mess up a pizza! In fact, you can mess up almost all foods. Compare this to a good pizza place and you’ll find your answer Ian S.

I agree with some reviews here, the light inside of this restaurant is too bright and the interior Vibe isn’t that great. The light should be dimmed down and vegan pizza should have *more cheese* on it. Their Pizza is pretty good but I’ve had better. Vegan sausage should definitely be in larger chunks, but instead it was crumbled to the point that it was not even noticeable yet the charge was extra. A few changes could turn this place in something very awesome.

We had a fantastic lasagna. Better Italian than most other places I’ve been around here. And we were the only people in the place. Weird. Enjoy

My favorite pizza place has gone severely downhill, both in quality and experience. The last time we dined at the Pizza Cookery, on 10÷30÷15, my whole group got food poisoning from the pizza! The time before, we were pretty much ignored by the wait staff, in a virtually empty restaurant. It will be a long time before I go back to the Pizza Cookery.

As I entered the lights in this location very bright and what I found a bit unusual was they still put sawdust on the floor.Really.Not a fan a sawdust on the floor. This is a Restaurant. The interior really needs a make over. To much stuff all over the place and it wasn’t a pleasant visit. It seemed that part of the AC wasn’t working in this establishment. A bit warm inside. The server was pleasant, it seemed to me that she was watching a little girl at the same time she was working. She kept going back to the little girl. As for the food. I had ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and they did not strain the water fro m the spaghetti. So it was very watery. Not good. One of the easiest Italian dishes to do, and yet they could not deliver. So overall not a good visit, and I would not return.

LOVE this place… and luckily, for me. it’s just up the street! My hubby and I often order the gluten free pizza and the special Italian style anti pasta salad w/house dressing… The atmosphere is charming. very Italian w/sawdust on the floor, low lights and very clean… The service is very good. and with a smile… this is an awesome place to come in the valley, located at 17976 Ventura Blvd(on the corner of Newcastle) to bring the family, or to celebrate you wedding anniversary, meet your agent or just to come in for a delicious and relaxing meal… They serve Gluten-free, Vegetarian, Vegan,… AND Meat for us carnivores! The is something for EVERYONE… Family owned and friendly… Katherin Kovin– Pacino and Wm. Lashbrook

OK… really close to three stars… but hear me out. I’ve been here maybe 4 times… three of those times were probably 15 years ago… and then again three days ago. From what I recall, the food basically hasn’t changed in 15 years. The pizzas are really good(but what pizza is bad?) and the BBQ chicken salad(see picture) was surprisingly good. And the three staff members I came in contact with were really nice. But this is not a sophisticated place… it seems like a family-run place that is barely getting by but the food is pretty good and the people seem really nice. And it’s very clean. BUT, man, if they stepped up their game, they would really be a much nicer overall experience. You are just waiting for Robert Irvine(Restaurant:Impossible??) to come through the door and take over. He would tell them to lose the huge, probably non-working, tube TV sitting on top of the huge, probably non-working, wine dispenser cabinet and throw them out as quickly as possible. He would tell them to take down the crappy generic, lo-res, 1980’s italian food posters that came from whatever supplier sells them cheese and destroy them. He would say(in his muscular British celebrity chef voice), «Your dining room looks like a restaurant storage room with unappealing plants, outdated light ceiling fans and rotating Budweiser signage that is only being used because it lights up and was free». I wish them only success… nice people, good food… but I’m in no hurry to go back to this little slice of the valley circa 1978.(And I say that as having been born and raised in the valley, love many parts of the valley… but you know what I mean?) And, yes, the 70’s are coming back with a vengeance… but not this part of the 70’s.) Don’t get me wrong… keep the old-timey wooden booths — totally charming/intimate. Keep the red vinyl booth benches — clean and comfy. But do something to bring some additional charm and you could bring some of the old Pizza Cookery glory days back!

As a vegan, I have to give this place 5 stars for their multitude of vegan options. I usually order mine with daiya cheese, and vegan pepperoni. Always quick with the orders and friendly, this place is my go to pizza spot!

Dinner was delicious as usual … Love the garlic rolls and Caesar salad! Had a good pizza. Atmosphere was ‘old school’ Pizza parlor with wood shavings on the floor… Old school video games in front add to fun for kids.

Came here for lunch and was pleased to find this little gem. Very fast service, & a very clean restaurant with friendly staff, very helpful when it came to my order. I watched as the cook tossed the dough so i knew the ingredients were fresh. The pizza was delicious. I ordered a personal pepperoni and it was great! Overall, i had a good experience here, I recommend checking it out.

Came here for my moms bday on a Wednesday. Not super busy, but we made a reservation and had a lovely private room. The garlic rolls are delicious — definitely get your hands on a couple of those. My favorite pizza that we ordered was the cheese and green olive. Simple, yet flavorful(and not overly greasy!). The garden salad was good, but I’d get the dressing on the side next time — they out way too much on it. They close somewhat early, so try not to get there too late. I think they were starting to turn off all the lights by 9:30pm.
