Doesn’t accept credit/debit cards, which is more than just inconvenient in 2014. The cookie dough is weird — freeze dried or something — and just piled on top of the concrete, not really mixed in. Pretty disappointing experience, and it is doubtful we will return considering how many other ice cream-type establishments there are in the area.

We like the Custard Corner. Fred has been a staple in the area. They are open from March to October. The custard is very creamy, as a custard should be. He has about 6 flavors on tap. There are 10 – 12 choices for flavored dippings. As a creature of habit, we always get the same thing… chocolate cone with chocolate sprinkles and vanilla cone with rainbow sprinkles. I have had the chocolate dip. Don’t forget to get your punch card. They do not accept credit cards… CASHONLY!

This place is terrific. Best bang for your buck — perfect ice cream consistency, decent pricing, great flavor. Can’t give it a better rating.

I decided to stop in for some ice cream. I bought a soft serve vanilla cone. It’s not like your old run-of-the-mill soft serve. It’s much creamier… custard-like. It would be worth a try to see if you like it more than the regular soft serve. Custard Corner is right across from Pat Mitchell’s, so the two places must be in close competition with one another. I enjoyed the ice cream, and would return.
