The Krowbar is a decent place to hang out and get food at. not the best but not bad by any means. i’ve never had bad service there and it’s really spacious, i’ve never felt too crowded. the place seems clean and looks nice, although it would better with real brick instead of fake plastic ones on the wall haha. they have live music a lot, which can be cool, but it can also be awful, like that one time i went and a band played a Pink Floyd song. I HATEPINKFLOYD! as for the food, it’s all pretty good, but most items are missing something, like they’re one step away from being really good. the sauce and cheese on their pizza is great, it’s probably some of the best bar pizza i’ve had. the crust though is where it falls short. it didn’t seem like it was very fresh. keep in mind that i ordered it fresh and took the pizza home, it seems like they use frozen dough made by someone else. it was a little too chewy and dense, but other than that it was very good. oh and the pepperoni had a good flavor to it as well. the wings are ok, again i feel like the texture is a little off. the medium wing sauce was spicy enough, but it also had a sweetness to it. some places put bbq sauce in their buffalo sauce and i feel like Krowbar is one of those places. i’m not saying it’s a bad thing, i get a craving for that kind of sauce sometimes, but others might not appreciate it. i also tried their BBQ wings. i noticed on their menu that they have a pulled pork sandwich that they claim has their special house made sauce. i assumed that’s what i would be getting on the bbq wings. i was wrong. it was a bottled sauce that i do like, but i’ve had it a thousand times before. the bleu cheese seemed like it could be homemade though, it had a good texture but it was a little too pungent for my tastes. i heard they have good burgers here, so i tried one and it was overcooked and a little on the dry side. if it weren’t for that, it would have been a pretty good cheeseburger, although i do wish that bacon was an option, i didn’t see that on the menu. i opted to get fries for a side instead of chips, a $ 1.50 upcharge. the fries were good, but i felt that the portion was a little small. i could be wrong, but i think the only dessert i saw on the menu here was raspberry chimi cheesecake. it may be the only one but damn it was good! i would suggest trying that out. so overall, a good place to drink, and an ok place to eat. there’s better places to eat out there but if you’re already here drinking then you might as well try the food.
