i like this place. there seems to be 2 kinds of diners, there’s the greasy spoon/hole in the wall places with cramped tables and good food at a cheap price, and then there’s the nicer more relaxed diners with good food that’s a little more expensive than other diners. Nadius, along with The Spot, Park Diner, Pete’s Legacy, etc falls into the latter category. Nadius has a nice inviting ambiance with good service and a good menu. for breakfast i’ve had their home fries, the pancake sandwich, and the Roscoe Diner’s famous deep fried french toast. i heard that the owner of the roscoe diner opened this place and that they had the deep fried friend toast. i had it down there once when i was 16 and i liked it, so i knew i had to come here and try it again. my memory is a little fuzzy but i feel like they used a different kind of bread down at roscoe and it was sliced different, but that doesn’t matter because the flavor on this was great. i love burger king’s french toast sticks and this is pretty much the same thing, only bigger with better flavor. the home fries were ok, kinda standard, i’ve had much worse. as for the pancake sandwich, i thought it was going to be a mcgriddles type thing with pancakes as the bread for a sandwich, but that wasn’t the case. it came with 2 pancakes that were a bit on the smaller side, and then sides of eggs(i got scrambled and i liked em), bacon(pretty good), and a small breakfast sausage link(i liked it, good texture and good flavor). the pancakes themselves were just standard diner pancakes, good but not over the top. they have a nice menu for lunch and dinner too. i’ve only tried 2 meals from it so far but i liked what i had and will definitely go back. i feel like every diner should put out a good burger, and these guys do. i got the smokey mequite BBQ burger cooked medium well. they cooked it good and it was still moist. the bacon and bbq sauce on it were good, as were the fried onions. the bun on the other hand was a bit on the tougher side, i suspect it was a felix roma kaiser roll, which i’m not a fan of. other than that, great burger and it came with my favorite kind of fries, which are the coated fries. it also came with coleslaw, which was nothing out of the ordinary in the flavor department. i also tried the roasted half chicken dinner with dressing. the stuffing was good, it was on the sweeter side and it had raisins in it. you could tell it was homemade, and while it was good, i’m not sure if i liked how it paired with the savory herb seasoned chicken. the flavor of the chicken was good, and most of it was moist but part of the breast was on the dry side. the skin was nice and crisp though and i liked the gravy that came with it, which also seemed homemade as it was on the thicker side. the salad and italian dressing were generic, but i tried the potato salad too and it was really good, fresh and creamy with good flavor and fresh herbs mixed in. the desserts look good but i haven’t tried them yet. i can’t tell if they are homemade or not though, but i hope they are. i looked at the menu online for the roscoe diner and it seems that they do not have the same offerings as nadius. the hostesses and waitresses are friendly and the place has a comfortable atmosphere, do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Just an average diner. The customer service for us was really good — service was attentive, friendly and quick, we were there on a Sunday morning. The food wasn’t anything special, and some items were higher priced than you would find elsewhere. I tried the half waffle special, which was half a Belgian waffle, eggs, and bacon and sausage. Coffee was ok. My friend tried the deep fried french toast which tastes just like fast food french toast sticks, not a bad thing. If I went back, I’d get that, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.

My husband and I were excited to try Nadius after learning that it was owned by the same restaurateur who owns the famous Roscoe Diner. On a recent visit for lunch we were extremely disappointed. As a vegetarian I found the menu options to be extremely yawn-worthy and limited. The choices were limited to spaghetti, grilled cheese, or egg salad.(Breakfast does not appear to be served all day here as it was not an option on the menu) I decided on the grilled cheese– a less expensive option among the pricey menu offerings. It was served with a very small plastic container of coleslaw that smelled and tasted like it was past its prime. My husband ordered the chicken souvlaki, priced at over $ 10. The quality was poor– dry bland chicken strips lying over wedges of pita bread, a small container of tzatziki sauce, and a small Greek salad. Fortunately our waitress was efficient and responsive, although not overly friendly. If you are in the mood for diner food there are much better options in the Endicott area. I would recommend trying the Pantheon Diner.

I ate here recently while in town visiting my mom. It’s currently under new ownership(and remodeling) and has changed hands quite a few times since it first opened. It seems with every new owner, the business decreases. We were a large party of 8 that came in on a snowy weekday morning after Christmas. Long story short, coffee was never refilled and a few of our orders came back wrong. What kind of diner doesn’t refill coffee regularly? We spent most of the time sitting there waiting. My sister got a salad with wilted lettuce and my friend waited 20 minutes for a piece of cheese for his breakfast sandwich(when he got it, it DID come on a plate). Will I return? Yes… but only because I’m a sucker for bad diners when I get together with my friends from home.(I’ve been to Denny’s dozens of times after 1am). Overall though, you’d be better off going to one of the other diners in the area.

Having been fairly new to the area, my family and became fans of Crossroads. Moderately good food(though nothing to write home about) and an overall pleasant diner-like setting. Thne one day my mother and I went for lunch, where my mother ordered 2 appetizers of fried calamari, something she ordered often. Upon arrival, the calamari was completely undercooked. It was chewy and it just tasted awful. Never looking to cause any sort of scene, my mother kindly cancelled the additional order of calamari and just didn’t eat anything for the remainder of the meal. As we were leaving, what I am assuming is the store owner, and quite possibly the cook, informed us that she didn’t charge us for both orders of the calamari, only one(how she thought she would charge us for an order of food that we stopped before it reached the table, is beyond me). My mother, once again not looking to cause a scene did not blink, paid her seven dollars and politely said, to the let the woman know, how she was surprised the calamari was undercooked, as she always ordered it and it was usually great. The woman who we paid then seemed to have gotten annoyed at this comment and very nastily informed my mother that the calamari was cooked. My mother, who is Italian-American and has been cooking fried calamari for the passed forty-years, in turn– replied no, it was completely under cooked. The woman then practically threw the credit card at her, and was incredibly confrontational about the calamari. It is for this reason that my family and I will never step foot in this place again. Aside from the fact that she paid for food that was DISGUSTING(It was supposed to be a fried fish, not SUSHI), the woman had an overall bad attitude, and to be quite honest, deserved to be to punched in her mouth. I realize that some places are hit and miss, and for this reason we would have gone back, but to become belligerent and indignant with your defense of your poorly cooked food is not only uncalled for, but it’s plain old rude. Maybe someone hit a nerve, who knows… but don’t blame the poor customer, for not choking down your poorly made food. If you want a 50⁄50 chance at salmonella or whatever bacteria may be lurking on the undercooked food that you eat, then Crossroads is for you. As for me… I’ll be going elsewhere.

Why is this diner not serving all Greek food??? I had the«Spinach Pie»(aka Spanakopita) and it was fantastic. Served with a side of delicate pilaf, soup, and a Greek salad. Hub had the Gyro served on fresh pita, fries, and a Greek salad. We had to take food home… but it was delish. The rest of the menu is just a mish-mosh of American diner fare. My suggestion would be to stay true to your roots. Make this a Greek/Mediterranian restaurant and lose about half the menu. Opa!

I’ll have a hard time not referring to it as the Peppermill, since for so many years, that’s what I remember it as, and for the previous generation… the old pig stand. Alas, it is now the Crossroads Diner. It looks the same as it always has. A spacious diner complete with coffee counter. A diverse menu, typical of any local diner and the dessert case by the register when you walk in, filled with desserts that I assume look better than they probably taste.(I admit, I’ve never tried their desserts.) I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner here. While none of the meals were memorable(in a good way, or a bad way) everything was pretty much as I’d expect. After all, it’s diner cuisine. The atmosphere is quite comfortable, with an array of tables and spacious booths.(is there a diner anywhere without the upholstered curved bench seating?)
