Vinny’s Pizza

After several years of living in Enfield I can finally say I have found the best pizza in town. I’m a southern CT transplant and have been trying to find something that at least reminded me of the thin crust, well-​cooked pizza that I was able to get living down in the New Haven area. A friend recommended Vinny’s and I tried it last week and I am in love. If I was to offer one slight piece of criticism, it would be that the rolled edges are a little too thick, but not enough to not enjoy the pie.
I ordered a Pepperoni pie well-​done for delivery. The time from order to doorbell was about 35 minutes and the pie arrived hot and exactly how I ordered it. The ingredients were top-​notch and I have to say I devoured a large pie all on my own… Highly recommended!!!
UPDATE: Apparently they are closing, their last date of business is today 5÷3÷15. Such a shame because they had great pies, hope they come back soon!

We just ordered delivery to the Hampton Inn. When it got here the pizza was hot and delicious!!! The prices are great for the best pizza around. The bread sticks were absolutely the best I’ve had anywhere. We will definitely get our pizza here when we’re in Enfield!

I would of wrote this review yesterday when we purchased the pizza, however the verdict was still out. We had to sample the left overs tonight to get the full effect… and come up for words to describe our experience.
Lets get down to brass tacks. If you do not like a thicker crust/​non greasy crust, you will not enjoy the pizza served at Vinny’s. If you like it the way it is, you will be a happy camper. My husband and I are big fans of thinner crust. The type that is gooey, cheesy, that leaves massive oil stains embedded on the box. Yep, those were the words I was going for and took me 24 hours to come up with. I am not proud of loving a greasy pizza. Sincerely, it just comes down to the crust for us and the stretch of the cheese from pizza to mouth. (insert pizza snob status here)
With that aside, the pizza was good. We got a pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom pizza. We asked for extra cheese. The sausage is not the crumbled one. but still great. No skimping on the toppings, it all was very good. Generous toppings. For a large, the pizza was on the smaller size compared to Lulu’s & Danny’s.
We gave it 4 stars because of the limited parking and being that the pizza was on a little bit of the pricey side. Overall, a nice experience!

After reading good reviews about Vinny’s on here & the Enfield open forum we decided to give it a try last night. As I have stated in other reviews I am a VERY picky eater. We normally don’t eat pizza in town because I have not found one I «love» or even really like. Usually eat in Granby or Berlin turnpike for pizza (those are where my 2 favorites are). Anyways went in last night to order it was greeted by a very nice lady. Told her my order and that it was our first time trying it, she then looked over into kitchen to the 2 guys cooking and said «we have another first timer tonight». They both smiled & one of the guys said he was happy to have me stop in and if I like New York thin crust pizza we will enjoy theirs. I came to find out later at night he was the owner & only 26. Go him! Anyways waited for our pizza to come out of oven (got a 2 topping medium & paid under $ 14) thought that was pretty great to start. Came home & dug in! I would give it a 7 ½−8/10. Was pretty good. Not the best I have ever had, but certainly no where near the worst. I hear they have great grinders too. Will be trying one of those in the future. We will def order from here again. Ps we had hamburg and mushrooms & there was a generous amount of Hamburg! Would def recommend giving Vinny’s a try!

The pizza and food is the best in the area and we have told so many people about Vinny’s. We USED to drive from Ellington just to get our weekly pizza from here. It always takes about an hour for one pizza which is a bit long but we know this and order in advance knowing the amount of time it takes.
The reason for the long rating and the fact we will never go back is because of the extremely poor and rude service we have gotten one more then one occasion from the female working the register. I believe she was one of the rudest people I have ever come in contact with at a restaurant. We will never return unless we hear she has moved on.

Having moved from the Enfield area to California last year I’ve been craving some amazing east coast pizza. I had high expectations for my first pizza being in town and these guys delivered.
I had a wonderful cheese pizza with an excellent crust. We also ordered buffalo wings which were also good. The guys there were very nice.

Best pizza in the Somers — Enfield area. Great crust and sauce. Toppings are fresh and generous. The shop is small so we always have them deliver.
We did have one delivery mishap. The driver did not keep the pizza from sliding so all the toppings were on one half of the pizza. Check it before paying.

My fiancé and I live in Mass but were in the area and found this gem through Unilocal.My goodness were the reviews spot on! This is a little hole in the wall so I would plan on taking it to go (we ate outside on the tiny patio) but the pizza was by far the best I’ve had within 15 miles and the service was incredibly friendly. I only wish they had a spot to put a tip in on the credit card receipt. I had no cash and these guys were so nice I felt awful that I couldn’t give them a few bucks.

I signed up to Unilocal just to review Vinny’s. Since we just moved to the area we were looking for a decent pizza place nearby. Luckily we found Vinny’s! They have great pizza and fantastic crust! Delicious! Their dinners are a steal and tasty as well. Ask for their specials too. They are nice and friendly, which is a rarity these days.

Ordered delivery from Vinny’s because I had my heart set on some hot wings and salad. Not only were they on time, they were well worth the wait! The chicken practically fell off the bone. My Greek salad was so big I had enough leftover for 2 more meals. Definitely going on my list of places to frequent!

Thank goodness for this place! Vinny’s pizza is awesome. We had been going to Danny’s up the street for years, but when that place started to go down hill we ended up trying Vinny’s, and will never go back!!!
The pizza is perfect. Not too thin, not too thick. A nice puffy crust. Plenty of fresh ingredients for toppings. Plus, cannolis! They are delicious! And, something that a lot of take out places around here should take. It of, the folks at Vinny’s are super nice! You call and they take your order with a smile.
Seriously, try this place out, you won’t be disappointed!

Great food, friendly staff and quick delivery. The food (wings and pizza) were piping hot when they arrived. That’s impressive!

I was disappointed when I drove in one afternoon to my favorite pizza place in Enfield just to find that it has been replaced by a new pizzeria. My disappointment was soon replaced with excitement when I found a more extensive menu and had my first pizza from Vinny’s: the shrimp scampi pizza. The crust was not too thin or thick but just perfect. It is nothing like the greasy pie you will find at many other pizza placed. It does not weigh you down either. They have a Facebook page that is updated with new recipes and offerings all the time. I recently tried the sweet and sour wings wit pineapple and pepperonicini this week and they were succulent and juicy. So check out the Facebook page if you decide to order something from Vinnys.
This is a take out place during the winter and they put out some tables in the summer. I hope they expand sometime soon. Vinny’s is a great local spot for some amazing fresh pizza pies.

Two recent visits to this take out only restaurant has me convinced its the real deal! Vinny runs the kitchen… his Mom runs the counter. talk about a family operation! The food is outstandingly good… portions are large… prices are more than fair… and it is service with a smile. so far we’ve had a large roast beef grinder… meat was nice and rare and ingredients were very fresh and it was huge! My son had a large steak and cheese… not the stringy steak you get at some places. this was delicious and again… probably big enough for two people. next visit we had their pizza. a large pepperoni, sausage and hamburg was out of this world good.8 huge slices. my wife had a small veggie. absolutely loaded with fresh ingredients. yes, I do get excited over a truly local spot that is trying hard to separate themselves from the run of the mill pizza joints that dot the enfield landscape. Vinny’s is a notch above the rest!

I recently moved to Enfield and was on the hunt for a good pizza place. I tried just about every other pizza place in town until I stumbled across Vinny’s. I had never even noticed it because it is such a small place in the middle of Hazardville. I have been going here every week for a few month’s now and every pizza I have tried is awesome.
The place is tiny and it is take out only but the pizza is great. I have yet to try anything else on their menu besides pizza, but I am assuming and hoping it is as good as the pizza! The staff is very friendly! Highly recommended!

The pizza is wonderful. I have also enjoyed the calzones. The service is always good. Very good small pizza place.
