The only time I ever came was for the Happy Hour which was affordable, and the place actually started getting busy. But since half the staff walked out a few weeks ago, its gone right back down hill, completely fake owners, jacked up prices, and back to empty all the time.

The restaurant is beautiful unfortunately the food isn’t. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Feel sorry for them. We had appetizers and main course. The clams casino was poorly done and the mussels were so tiny it was not worth the effort. The main courses were too al dente and my dish was not good it ended up like a lump of glue. My dinner was one of the specials of the day. Went to this restaurant because of a groupon coupon. Not worth the reduced price. Save your money.

We(wife and myself) stopped in for just cocktails at happy hour at the very comfortable and spacious bar. Bartender Victoria provided a really warm welcome and provided very good and generous drinks. We ordered a couple of the reasonably priced appetizers which were delightfully done. We will definitely return with friends for dinner real soon.

Came back, heard about new menu changes. When first opened, the menu was very limited. It didn’t even have a salad. Nonetheless, food was alright but service still needs much improvement.

Given the price point of this restaurant’s menu, I think the owners should be ashamed of the overall quality of this restaurant. We brought our mother here for Mother’s Day dinner. Our entrees arrived almost two hours after we had ordered them, and none of the staff came to apologize or say anything. The restaurant was not very busy, but clearly whoever is expediting in the kitchen is completely out of their league and does not know or when to fire a table’s orders. Additionally, three of our four dishes came incorrect. Jumbo shrimp scampi style arrived in tomato sauce(and were normal size shrimp), my medium lamb chops came charred and extremely well done and under seasoned, and my brothers medium veal chop came as a medium T-bone steak, also under seasoned. Once we said something, the restaurant decided taking off the bottled waters off our bill. A whopping $ 15 off a nearly $ 200 meal, that was nearly completely 100% awful. The only saving grace was that my mother enjoyed her Parmesan crusted snapper. That one element of the dinner was ok. So unless you like snapper and have 2 hours to wait around for your food, I’d skip this place.

The one and only time I went to this place I had an amazing experience, you definitely pay for the quality you get here. I’m just a little bit sad that I don’t stop here more often. This is a place you should check out for a great time.

We came in to celebrate Valentine’s Day. As soon as we walked in, we were met by a stressed looking Jim, who informed us that they were running a «little» late and he left us standing by the door. Another person, did not catch his name, was more gracious, came over and asked us to sit by the bar, and get a drink«on the house» while we waited for the table. Forty five mins later, after a few queries from our party, Jim, still not smiling, ushered us to our seat. Our waiter George showed up, threw menus down at us, appeared hurried, disappeared. Only after repeated requests for bread,(our tables on both sides got them even tho they arrived later) we finally got some. Service to our table was very neglectful and harried. The food was good, but at $ 59 a priced fix menu,(when I reserved they had said they did not have a priced fix menu), they had run out of 2 out of 4 appetizers, and when it came for dessert, George showed up with 3 small pcs of dessert and some blueberries for the 4 of us… stating that they had run out of the desserts on the menu. No apology, no price reduction… the place was not upto par. They were way over their heads. We never saw Jim or his partner, no one asked us how the meal was, and they were nowhere to be seen when we left.

Cute restaurant, excellent service and great food. You can’t ask for more than that. It was my first night in town, and the office took me here because of the good food, and close proximity. I had been craving salmon, so my deliberations were easy. The salmon and roasted veggies came out perfectly flavored. I really enjoyed every bite. I also ordered the Argentina Malbec. Maybe I’m the only one that orders red wine with fish, but I don’t much care for white wine We also ordered the calamari and it was just as you’d expect. This restaurant is a little pricy, but with it for the quality. The service was great. Just enough that you never need to ask for anything, but never intrusive. Definitely seems like a place you can take someone if your intent is to impress. I wish I’d ordered something more Italian, but the salmon was calling my name.

I have never written a Unilocal review but, after eating here last night, I had too. The food here is absolutely amazing ! The hostess, waiters, and the owner were so attentive and nice. The chef and menu were new and def keepers. The live entertainment was so enjoyable, that we ordered dessert just to watch her. Will def be back. Maybe tonight lol.

Went for lunch for a co-workers b’day. In all honesty, I don’t see how the place is going to survive. There were 2 people in the place besides us. Pros: The food was pretty good. Calamari was good, Chicken and Eggplant parm all good. After getting one order wrong, they took the lunch off the check. Cons: Expensive. $ 101 for 5 people(before tax and tip) for lunch and this was without any drinks. They need a lunch special menu. Second… there was no one in the place, and they got orders wrong. Waiter did not ask what side dishes were wanted w/the food. Also, did not ask if anyone wanted a drink. If you pay high end prices, you should get high end service. Also, dinner menus were given out and it took them 10 min to figure out we had the wrong menus. Vegetables w/the food were not good at all. Overall: I’d like to see this place succeed, but now sure how they will in it’s current format. Maybe dinner service is better, but I wasn’t really enticed to come back to try it out again.

We dined here on a Saturday night three months after the restaurant opened. We enjoyed our experience and would recommend this restaurant to others. The mandatory valet parking as a courtesy was a helpful convenience at this big restaurant with a small parking lot. We were warmly greeted by the staff and shown to a great table with a nice view. The crowd was a big older than us(50’s — 60’s) and many were wearing sport jackets. We were dressed more casually. and that was fine too. The waiters were friendly but service was a little slow and sometimes unorganized. We easily forgave that as it is a new restaurant and the rest of our experience was very good. We ordered the gazpacho and barley soup to start and ordered the wild bass and risotto for our main courses. The food was delicious and well presented. We also enjoyed the live entertainment(keyboard player/singer). We thought the prices might have been a tad higher than expected. We are always on a quest to try new places so it might be a while before we get back. Nevertheless, we encourage everyone to give it a try as they are certainly eager to please.

The true test of any Italian restaurant is their veal. It should be tender and easy to cut with a fork. And it was. The roasted chicken with bacon was fillets and very tasty. The whole-wheat pappardelle with artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes was a little too chewy for my liking, and I love pappardelle. The sauce was nice. The handmade spaghetti was excellent. The tartufo was very good and the cut it into 6 pieces(easier to eat) and garnished with strawberries. The triple chocolate cake was chocolatey delicious. The blood orange sorbet was delicious, and the cappuccinos were equally very good. The service was great.(We went for a Saturday lunch.)

My wife and two friends ate here recently and felt the service and food fell well below what they expected. The food ordered came out incorrect which is certainly excusable for a newer restaurant but when it did come out the food was average at best. Willing to give it another shot but the first impression was not a good one.

If clowns had a cuisine, this would be it. The food at Amore Tuscan Grill is foolish, a parade of exotic ingredients, confused. This restaurant isn’t in the hospitality business. It’s in the attitude business, projecting an aloofness that permeated all of my meals there. The owner is very nasty, and insincere. Their prices are astronomical, which doesn’t even come close to matching the quality of the food. I was flabbergasted by how horrible the services was and how the employees treated the customer. I have to say that this was the worst restaurant experience I had ever inquired. This restaurant left me in complete and utter shock and I would never recommend their cuisine to anyone, I’d rather indulge in fast food then to give them a penny of my hard in cash.

First let me say that this is a 4.5 stars place, and just needs a few polishing items to make five, but for an opening night it was pretty good. I drove by this pace the past few weeks, and thought it was open the whole time. I decided to try it tonight with my girlfriend while we were in the the area, and just happened to come in on the soft opening. The place is beautiful from the outside with large open windows and several stories. If you are familiar with the area, it has a similar layout to Assembly Steakhouse with two floors, but Amore is it’s nicer inside. Valet parking is a requirement here, and I felt a little out of place pulling up in my 2005 Nissan Altima(ehh, I at least have all leather interior). My girlfriend and I were in jeans, so we thought we might be under-dressed at first withe the well dressed staff and white table clothes. The place was empty though, so it ended up being a moot point. The interior is beautiful, and richly decorated. By far the best decorated restaurant on Sylvan Ave, with marble flooring, brass rail staircase, oak bar, soffited ceilings, etc. The staff immediately greeted us, and were extremely friendly. They also have a coat check and offered to take our coats, which we declined. They were fine with it though and didn’t press the matter. We were seated next to the only other couple in the restaurant, which was nice since we got to talk to them, but it would have been weird if we were on a first or intimate date. The couple next to us were the ones to tell us it was their first night, and we had a good time chatting with them. They said the food was great. They ordered the gnocchi, but got ravioli instead. They liked the ravioli though, but it’s a strike when an order is wrong. They served break, fresh grated cheese in olive oil, and the bread was amazing! The olive oil was also exceptional. We ordered the cucumber salad for an app, and it was really good. I would definitely recommend it. For an entrée we ordered the bass and rack of lamb, both were scrumptious with just the right flavoring. They were also both perfectly dressed, and definitely looked the part of gourmet! There were a few things off tonight though: 1.) The staff didn’t have a very good understanding of the menu. This is something I would not expect on the first night for a fine dining establishment. For example, our waiter didn’t know what chard was. I didn’t know either, but luckily the couple next to us did and they told us. It’s like kale by the way. 2.) The staff seemed confused about who was waiting on us. We had a number of staff ask if we were being helped. 3.) With all of ornate decorations, the bathroom has a dinged up stainless steel garbage can, which looks like someone realized last minute that they needed one and brought it form home. I truthfully would be embarrassed with it in my home. 4.) It was very cold, and granted it dropped 10 degrees outside in less than an hour, someone should have noticed. They eventually did though and raised the temperature midway through our meal. These are all easy fixes though, and Amore seems like a place that’s going to be hard to get a seat at on a Friday night! I wish them the best and can’t wait to go back!
