Very disappointed!!! Service is terrible 45 min for a pie where the toppings tasted rotten and the order was wrong and also pizza was burnt…9.50 for 2 ice teas… and the place is completely filthy and run down… who keeps a vacuum and garbage bags in the dining room??? NEVERAGAIN!!!

Good pizza and very fun service. We has a sausage, onion and green olive pizza. We are from Chicago and found the sausage the closest tasting to home. Great family style salad too.

Ordered a large take out pizza. ½ was just cheese, ½ sausage and mushroom. I ate the latter. I’m from Chicago, and know my pizza. Been eating them since the 60’s. The sausage had great flavor and impressed me. The cheese was tasty, although could have used a slight better quality. The crust was the right thinness, but didn’t have much flavor. The same can be said about the sauce. It needs some work, and should be more identifiable, and don’t be shy with it. I gave it 4 stars FORFLORIDA. It would be 2 ½ stars in Chicago. If you have to have pizza in Florida, it’s a pretty good pie.

Went on 12/15/2014 for a take out pizza. The crust was like cardboard, won’t go back. It’s a shame because the toppings were amazing(sausage, sauce, olives, green peppers).

So tonight after a long ride, I placed my order for two pizzas. Was told it would take 30 min. When I got there 35 min later, the staff told me it would take another 20 min because I only called 15 min ago. When I showed my phone to prove the time, the staff got all huffy and accused me of being a liar. I said I didn’t want to wait and left to go to my car. The staff member followed me out and gave me the middle finger… Right in front of a 6 year old! Keeping it classy! Needless to say, I’ll never go back again. The restaurant across the street, Rikotinis(sp?) got my business and the had great food, classy servers, and a happy atmosphere.

Found a roach in my mother’s salad. The owner acted like nothing happened. Not going back.

For Englewood this is one of the top restaurants. It is always filled with locals and the small staff knows most of them by name. I’ve never eaten anything but their pizza and salad(you can get a large pizza and salad(big enough for four) for $ 15.95). The thin crust(which I usually don’t like at most pizza places) is pretty good. They use real ingredients, not vegetables that come in a can. Their house salad dressing is delicious! The salad is made of boring iceberg lettuce but they top it with a ton of good stuff(three types of meat, onions, black and green olives, tomatoes, mushrooms, green peppers and lots of mozzarella). They also bring bread and butter to the table while you wait for your food, but it isn’t anything fancy. They serve beer and wine as well as the normal assortment of drinks. If you’re looking for a good place to sit and enjoy pizza with friends/family I recommend Angelo’s.

If this is the best in town I feel sorry for you folks. I could have had 2 Red Barron frozen pies and saved 18 dollars. The staff was overwhelmed. 20 people waiting to get in and 3 empty tables, no body seating people.

Was on vacation in Boca Grande with family and decided we wanted some Italian food, read some reviews and headed to Angelos. As the previous reviwer wrote«best pizza in Englewood», that maybe, but I dont know the area, the pizza was just OK, nothing to cry home about. I had a veal parm sandwich, which i was a little disappointed in the size, but I knew what I was getting when I saw it was only $ 5.50. My parents got the special of the day, veal parm with pasta, again, another disappointment, pasta with no sauce just plain, which included a roll, you would think it would be a garlic roll, nope, was a regular dinner roll, really? All in all it was ok, i guess for the area. Guess im a spoiled Miamian where mom and pop italian restaurants are in abundance, Best experience: Amberbock Draft!

Wow, of all the places in Englewood, this one had no reviews! My wife grew up in the area and every time we come to visit her folks Angelo’s is a must have. The rest of the year we hope to find a pizza place near us that can compare, but there’s only one Angelo’s. We usually get their carry out special which is a pizza and a salad. The pizza is phenomenal and so is their salad. The pizza has a thick, tasty crust and the salads are heavy on the meat, cheese and olives. Their house dressing is a type of red wine vinegrette which is a favorite of ours. If you come to Englewood, be sure to stop here.
