Antoine Du Chez Salons and Spas

I had the worst haircut of my life here and would highly recommend people avoid this salon. I was recommended to Danielle by the person who answered the phone when I called to book. Not only is my haircut completely awful — different lengths, disconnected — Danielle was so unpleasant throughout the experience that I did not want to ask her to fix it. I walked out extremely unhappy and now have to pay for another haircut.

I wanted to treat myself today to a shampoo and blowout. The shampoo was delightful with nice product and a soothing massage. I explained that I wanted my short hair to have lots of volume on top and a cute flippy look at the back and ears. I don’t know what happened to the volume but my hair had more volume when I arrived than it did when I left and by the end of the day it was absolutely FLAT. The flip in the back was very structured and even where the flip on the sides was messy and unstructured. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this salon for a blow out.

I’ve had mixed experiences here. On my first visit, I walked in, and the place was bustling. The counter was full, so I sat down in a chair to wait. Not one person ever said, «hello», or «welcome», or «how may I help you?» for 30 minutes. After the crowd dissipated, the gals at the counter were on the phone or busy chatting amongst themselves. It was rather uncomfortable. I felt rude for interrupting them. I left fairly pleased with my hair. My second experience was better.

I have had a lot of services here and everything has been amazing but my two favorites are getting my haircut. Zee is my favorite person. She makes good conversation and I have never once walked out not liking my cut. So if you need a good solid cut, go to her! Then my second favorite is to get my nails done. Jenny is my go-​to gal! Also makes good conversation and just does a fabulous job. Ask for the gel, you won’t regret it. As for the front staff. They are the sweetest group of gals. So fashionable and friendly. I have taken my Mom there and she loved it as well. I forget who did her color but she did an amazing job. I just need to find a favorite message therapist and a favorite for waxing and I would be all set!

I follow my extraordinary nail tech Jennifer Abeyta wherever she moves, and for the past couple years it’s been Antoine du Chez. I have only had mani/pedi’s by Jennifer, so this review is really for her. Otherwise, it would be four stars because prices are a little high and scheduling can be very difficult.
Jennifer is wonderful to talk to and very talented. Be sure to ask for her!

I have been to mandy twice for blowouts and she has done a great job with my long, thick wavy hair. The salon is very nice and the staff is accomodating and friendly. They carry a great assortment of high end products like bumble and bumble and kerastase. I will be back!

While I loved my hair cut and color I made it really clear that I needed a lunch hour appointment and didn’t have a ton of time. I estimated 1.5 hrs for the appt. The lady who cut my hair did a great job and was very friendly but quick however the colorist took absolutly forever. I felt like she moved in slow motion. It took 2 hrs and 45 minutes for a cut and two colors to be completed on chin length hair. While it looked great this is definitly not the place to go unless you have an awful lot of free time to waste.

Since becoming a stay-​at-​home (most of the time) mom, I rarely have time to treat myself to any ‘me’ pampering. Today I am still basking in the afterglow of being made ‘queen for a day.‘
My hubby hit a bullseye when he surprised me with a day at the spa at Antione du Chez. He had reserved the Pure Bliss package: 5.5 hours of head to toe luxury. The package included an awesome massage, a facial that made my skin glow (my husband even noticed!), a delicious Ahi Tuna salad for lunch and a calming hot stone mani-​pedi. And knowing that your hair gets greasy and gross after all your treatments, the package also includes a wash and hair blowout so you can walk out feeling AND looking like a million bucks! Having had spa treatments in the past (ie. Tranquility Salon & Day Spa), I must say this one blew them out of the water. All hands on deck bent over backwards for me through the entire experience! The only downside was when it was all over and I had to leave. :(Hopefully I will return one day (HINT, HINT) to wear my crown again…

Okay, so just a precursor: I have been going to this Antoine du Chez for a while now, even though I don’t live in the area anymore. For the most part, I have gotten pleasing cuts with very nice stylists, but i have never found a stylist I liked. Finally I found Jeremy, but I got a letter in June informing me that he had moved on to another salon. Cue the :(However, the letter also said that I could bring it in for 50% off my next cut. :) x 1000. That place is ridiculously priced.
Now it is October, and I finally found the letter in all my house clutter. I figured I should use it before either I moved or Antoine du Chez decided not to honor their astounding deal, so I quickly made a reservation.
Another precursor: my hair walked away from the salon just fine. The cut I got today is not awful or tear-​inducing. This would be the explanation for the two stars — i feel like giving them something since I’ve gotten a few compliments. But here is why the three stars got taken off:
My stylist is dating a Fox news anchor, and he is very proud of that. I, however, do not need to hear about her for 90% of our conversation.
My stylist forgot my name, even though I was the ONLY person he had to concentrate on for an hour.
My stylist sprayed water all over and down my shirt. Awkward!
My stylist felt the need to scientifically explain all the reasons why my hair might turn out more curly, more straight, etc. i don’t care, just cut my damn hair!
He kissed me… three times! One was a goodbye, on the-​cheek thing you do to say goodbye, but the other two? On top of my head when he finished blow-​drying, and then again on the side of my head. No thank you!
And, to go along with the whole personal space thing, I felt like my shoulders were being humped. Seriously, I am a touchy-​feely person, so when I have issues, you know something’s wrong. I just do NOT like a strange guys crotch up against my arm. Eew.
So basically my rating is totally based upon the experience with my stylist today. But I also don’t really care for their prices. All in all, I can say this will be the last time I go there. Now please excuse me while I go shower off the cooties…

Mani/​Pedi: Shelly did took care of all my digits. Other than the slight squirming while having my footsies sanded (I’m a little on the ticklish side) she did great. She’s been with the Antoine chain for 11yrs and used to teach all the newbies…
Dye job: Lindie, thank you for understanding what I meant by «very dark deep brunette, almost black, with no sight of blue». You have no idea how long I’ve been wanting this color!
Hair cut: Chad. Chad’s the man. Funny, honest, and verified that Jua totally screwed up my hair at my last visit. No more Cherry Creek visits to get my hair snipped.
