I would recommend everyone avoid Darque Tan unless you have a lot of money that you don’t really need or want. I stopped in yesterday to get rid of this mid-winter ghost look I have going and ended up not buying anything due to the predatory pricing schemes and very hard(and ridiculous) sales tactics. The«special» was $ 9.99 for the month, which sounded exciting, until I found out that their month ends on the 15th, just a 8 days away, so it wasn’t a deal at all, it was a pro-rate, which if they cared about customers, wouldn’t be misidentified as a «special». Next, the only way I could pay with cash, was to do a weird cash-upfront scheme, which lowed the per session price, but only based on how much cash I was willing to put down… insane! The final straw were the statements about«a surface tan versus a deep tan»…which is total BS; and«you’ll definitely need a good lotion to help set the tan», also BS. Both statements clearly trying to upsell their various beds and products. Luckily I could smell a rat, and got out without handing over a big stack of bills or a credit card number! Really disappointed that there are still businesses that think all clients are dumb and need to have their hard earned dollars taken away from them. Avoid Darque Scam and see my next review about how a simple product like a couple tanning sessions should be sold!

Thought this place would be better than the«local» tanning places around town. Also, I signed up with them so I didn’t have to have a contract. I signed up mid-month and instead of pro-rating my amount, they either charged me a sign up fee for $ 40 or I could buy tanning lotion. So, basically, you had to pay full price to sign up. I then cancelled my account before the second month charged, but unbeknownst to me, I cancelled on the 13th and not the 10th, which is supposedly when I should have cancelled for the 16th payment. Was never told I had to cancel before a certain date. Also, the second month’s charge was $ 7 more than usual. Ya, it’s $ 7, but it’s the principle of the matter. Still trying to get a hold of someone to tell me why it wasn’t the same amount as last month. On to the tanning beds. They are HORRIBLE. They are soooooo old and half of them are broken all the time. It is SO hot in the store and in the bed. I am used to using a 7 min high power bed and being fine and getting a great tan. In and out. The least time you can go in a bed is 12 minutes and you’re dying of heat by the 7th min. Don’t even think about going into the stand up machine. I went in once and they had me go 12 mins and I had to get out before I passed out from the heat. The door was broken and I could not get out. I had to literally push the door with all of my might to get out. I freaked out and thought I was gonna die haha. That’s not right. When I told the front desk person she’s like, ya usually only men can go into the stand up machine. What?!? They only have one level 5 machine and it’s ALWAYS taken. If you’re lucky, there will only be one person ahead of you. By the time it’s your turn in the bed, it’s 30 mins later and the bed is so hot, you can’t even last more than 5 mins. Also, they don’t provide eye protection. I have my own goggles(thankfully), but as a tanning salon, you should provide eye protection to your clients. Cheap. Please skip this place. I will be trying At the Beach next(because they don’t require contracts, but also have a sign up fee, ugh) and if that ‘s the same, I’ll go back to my old place and sign a contract. It’s better than Darque Tan. I will never go back again.

Awful customer service. Both the manager and district manager have blown me off for weeks now. I was over charged by $ 38 dollars and all the said is we can give you a $ 25 dollar tan package, we don’t give refunds. I am extremely disappointed with the spray tan machines and the staff. Go to the Palms right up the street! Much better quality and service!

Second experience with this place– second time I was treated disgracefully,(you’d think after the first time I’d have learned, but there were a couple of years in between, and it was for different services) so now it’s earned this review. Do they train their staff to be uninformed and disrespectful twats? Because if you buy their Groupon, you will be treated like a bother, and you will be lied to. If they don’t want customers to try them with Groupon, don’t offer it! Spare us please! Or at the very least, it would be nice if they trained their disdainful staff on how it works, and spare us trying to explain it to them, while they try to get more money out of you. Then, when you finally get that straightened out, they tell you that the equipment for the service that you bought is not functional, and to come back in a week. What a JOKE!

Bought a Groupon for 1 month unlimited tanning and got burned the 1st week because one of the girls told me to try the bronze bed because it would not burn me. I even told her that I was only a few days into my month. Well she was TOTALLYWRONG! I was burned and couldn’t return for a week until it was better. I told the manager and she pretty much said it was my own fault for listening to her. I’m surprised that they wouldn’t be concerned about training their workers better and apologizing for her lack of knowledge leading to me being burned. I wouldn’t be so upset if she would’ve just taken responsibility for the mishap.

Disappointing experience. Spray tan had nothing but air, no solution or color. Got dressed and went up front. Employee went back complained and«added tanning solution» still nothing. It was super frustrating. She was upfront chatting with a friend. Left with nothing. $ 68. Per month I expect to have results. This is not the first time this has happened. I would like to see more attention paid by employees so this doesn’t continue. Thank you.

Let’s pretend this is a 3.5* review… because it was definitely higher than a plain old 3*, but not quite a 4*. I bought a groupon for two versaspa or pura spray tans. I had never in my life done a spray tan, but I figured for a good deal, I’d check it out, since I am about as white as the pure driven snow right now(such long Denver winters!). The girl who checked me in was really really sweet. She walked me through everything and answered all of my silly questions(it was SO obvious I was a first timer), so when it came time to get er done, I felt really confident in the versaspa procedure. I chose to do the bronze, as opposed to the clear spray, so that I would be able to see where the spray was and catch any streaks right away. It all went pretty smoothly, but I did notice the next morning that my face was SUPER dark and the rest of me had hardly anything on it, and the spray tan itself only lasted me for about four days(and after 1 day, I had zero still on my body). So, the customer service was GREAT and definitely made for a great experience, just wasn’t thrilled with the tan itself.

What I really enjoy about this salon is that it is never super busy, I can pretty much always get in right away. And unlike At the Beach, they never try to oversell me. The beds are always clean, the pura spa sunless tanning is nice because it looks natural, and the staff is always so friendly! I love that I have the ability to cancel at anytime, although I still haven’t because I am so happy here. I also love all of the locations, easy to where I live and where I work! Definitely recommend it!

I’m a little embarrassed to say I tan in the Winter… but here here we go… I had one of my best tanning experiences tonight at Darque tan. Morgan K provided some the of the best service I have had in years and the facility was spotless! I cant wait to go back and do it all over again! If your going to TAN in the DTC, this is the place to go!

I really liked this place. The prices are good and most of the workers are nice. I say most as I routinely see the same ladies at the front desk and they are always pleasant and helpful but now they have at least one who I think is new as I’ve never seen her until just a couple days ago. I called in to ask about canceling my policy and flat out asked ‘when will this cancellation take effect if I come in today’(the 14th). She advised me if I cancelled that day I could still tan through the following day but after that the cancellation goes into effect. So I went in that evening and she then tells me since it’s after the 10th my cancellation won’t go through until NEXT month and I will still be charged for a full month. When I inquired as to why I was explained something different by the person on the phone(which was her-yeah your voice is easily distinguishable) she literally rolled her eyes and said no that wasn’t true. Now looking back over my paperwork(which I didn’t have on me when I called) I see yes you do need to cancel by the 10th — fine and dandy but don’t roll your eyes at me because YOU don’t know the rules. Say you were wrong and let’s move on! SO unprofessional. Besides that bad experience this place is great! Clean beds, hardly a wait(but then again I tended to go after 9pm) and again MOSTLY knowledgeable staff. What I really liked too was the text messaging specials and facebook discounts.
