It looks like a hole in the wall in Sheridan Colorado but the food is amazing. Huge pancakes and a large portion of eggs and sausage. All you need are $ 3 dollar bills to scrape together and you will have a full belly. They also have a bacon special for those of you that like that :)

It’s a greasy spoon. It’s in an odd part of town, and it’s a pretty small restaurant. I’m a pretty big guy, so I wasn’t all that comfortable there because it can be challenging to get from place to place when there are other customers in the house because of how close the tables are to each other. The food was good, and it was reasonably priced. I wouldn’t tell anyone not to go here, but I’ve been to other breakfast joints around town that I preferred over the Home Café.

Home Café says everything you ever need to know. Your Southern Granny couldnt possibly do better. Your small town diner in the city! WHO KnEW! This is my first time to be here and it will not be my last. I actually had a cup of white bean and ham soup. HOMEMADE! It was great! Domonique was our waitress. She had to come over and ask our names and shake our hands, because she knew everyone else by name. She wanted to make us feel right at home. Dont let the area fool you and be prepared for a home cooked meal like you havent had since dad took you to the sale barn and you stopped for breakfast! They make their own sausage there. I have yet to try it, but those of you who like homemade sausge… if it is anything like the rest of the food… This is a must try. What a special treat this was. I am so very excited to go back. I want to try their pies too! You can afford this. The prices are incredibly reasonable. We had soup, and full breakfast meals with eggs, bacon and OMGTODIEFOR HASHBROWnS. My friend even had the biggest pork chop I have ever seen served in a restaurant. UnDER $ 20! Go! Just go. You wont be sorry.

I adore this place. Now, if you are looking for a trendy or hip breakfast experience — this is not it. If you want good food, big portions and for cheap then go here. The place is filled with old men sipping on coffee who are clearly regulars. The waitresses are always friendly, prompt and call you honey. The menu is a pretty simple, classic breakfast menu and the food is the same, simple but solidly delicious and for cheap. I had a breakfast burrito that was tasty. My dining companion had biscuits and gravy that was also quite tasty.

The Home Café is everything that a breakfast restaurant should be. I’ve been driving by for a long time, and always thought that I should stop for breakfast sometime. I’m glad I did. With the exception of us first timers, it appears the woman running the front of the house(who was great) seemed to know the name and ‘the usual’ for every other person who came through the door. There is not a lot of seating, so wouldn’t be ideal for a group, but the prices were reasonable, the food good, and the coffee plentiful. What more could a person ask for?

Pleasant little throwback to the past — sign said it opened in 1955 and it’s very reminiscent of 50’s and 60’s Americana including the coffee cups, glasses and dishes and lunch counter with the round stools. Straightforward, «traditional» menu. Very inexpensive. Service was excellent and food was good. We didn’t have it but the waitress said they make their own sausage and it’s excellent. I will definitely try the homemade country sausage next visit. It’s small — won’t accommodate big parties, but a very pleasant«funky» little place for breakfast or lunch for 2, 3 or 4.

Nice little hole in the wall place east of Federal on the Hampden frontage road. Had a typical eggs, hashbrown, toast, side of green chile and bacon breakfast for a good price. Food was hot, service was friendly. The atmosphere is early american kitchy. Lots of bird stuff hanging on the walls. I got a laugh at the old truck door clock on the back wall. I would have rated it better if the bacon had been better, but a good overall hole in the wall. I’ve heard good things about their lunch specials — so I will go back and check it out.

Recently I saw that the Home Café was named the best restaurant in Englewood, I was flabbergasted, the Home Café has a cute store front off of 285, but to expect anything more than your average greasy spoon, is to expect a lot. The service vary s, but the food is unfortunately consistent, use caution when ordering off this menu.
