I hadn’t been here in years. I’m talking since flip phone days, tube TV days. And now I remember why. Came here with a group for the Kentucky Derby. I was done with the place before even the 2nd race started. Where do I begin? Is it the terrible food? The outdated menu that states beers they don’t carry? The slowest and worst service I have had in recent memory? The staff that was overwhelmed and poorly-organized? The outdated machinery and ill-laid-out floorplan? How about all of the above? The food was… awful. Nachos were cold bagged chips, unmelted cheese, warm sour cream, canned olives still soaked in juice that caused everything else to taste of olives, and just totally something my drunk fratboy self would have made a decade ago. Almost hilariously awful. The menu said Tecate. The waitress said they don’t have Tecate. Hmmm. The service is awful. Terrible. We sat down and didn’t even see our waitress for 20 minutes. When she finally came by, she was blatantly overwhelmed. That sucks. It took 45 minutes to get a drink. 45 minutes to place an order. We had to remind her several times that we were waiting for drinks and food still, and she kept saying«I just put that in». Sucks. I don’t know if it was her, or the fact that the busiest day of the year for them was terrible understaffed. Seriously, the biggest day of the year for your business, you have 3 waitstaff in a room of 75 tables and 200+ people? That’s management’s screwup, and a bad one at that. I won’t get into the outdated machinery and the cluster-eff that is their floor layout. It was obvious that they have a big day on Kentucky Derby day. So to prepare, they jacked up their prices on their crap food, didn’t find additional staff and let it ride out, and offered outdated menu options. Crap food, crap staff, crap experience as a whole. I wish I could leave 0 stars.

Here for the Derby, thank goodness this place has betting or it would be closed down. I would love to say the service is bad but I have been here at a table for three hours and have yet to even be acknowledged, so I can’t tell you how the waitstaff treats you, or how the food is. The bar staff that you have to walk up to to get anything isn’t very pleasant. Just a thought on your busiest day of the year-staff up!

Shitty food and flaky service staff. I found too many negative things about this place… Owner Karen Kloud is a complete bitch and so is Jody segue bats the OTB manager! I will never recommend this place!!! It’s closing within the year so goodbye!

I used to like this place when there were decent service(Jose was the best waiter) but the last few times I have been there I had to hunt down a waitress and there was an incident where I was clearly calling the waitress but she was choosing to ignore me so I went straight up to her with my empty glass and asked her for a refill which she begrudgingly brought back. She did however make sure that all the male customers were happy as if she was working at a Hooters. I guess she can get the men to tip her better by being flirty. She should concentrate on just doing her job. I don’t remember her name but she’s a busty Latina. It’s not even busy in there either ! The food is spotty, sometimes it’s good sometimes it’s not. The prices are very reasonable though if you want to just go and have some drinks and chicken wings. I use the outdated machines to place my bets because the ladies that work the window get too chatty and then you don’t get to place your bet because you get locked out. They also don’t care if that happens they are like oops sorry but you know they aren’t sorry because they keep doing it. I haven’t been back since the Kentucky Derby and don’t have any plans on doing so.

Food and drinks are good but a little pricey. The employees all seem to be nice. The best part is sitting around listening to all the people scream and yell when the horse or dog they picked isn’t doing as well as they thought.

I’ve never been, but I had a great time here. The drinks were pricey, but the gambling atmosphere I found very entertaining. I’m not much of a risk taker, so I don’t consider this my bag, but a fun way to spend an evening. Very good nachoes

This place is horrible. We ordered our food and 90 minutes later only half of the tables food came out then 30 minutes later 2 more meals came out. They lost 3 of our meal orders and didnt offer anything to compensate us for us having to put up with thier lack of professionalism. I will no longer visit that horrible lack of a reputable establishment. What a joke that place is.

Wow! For a place that should be ready for The Derby crowd it sucks!!! Service is horrible! Should be ready for this crowd. Probably the biggest they get every year. Kicking people out of the bar area 1 minute before the race is wrong! Up your staff to about triple! Will not be there for The Kentucky Derby again! Feel sorry for the staff that was there! They worked hard! no

Well, not quite sure how to rate this. Let me include positives and negatives on this one. Positives 1) Friendly staff 2) Huge parking lot with free parking 3) Easily accessible if the city is not working on the roads 4) Decent beer prices 5) They set aside a racing form the night before so I would have one if they ran out Negatives 1) The women taking horse bets do not really know what they are doing. It takes forever, and they try to encourage you to go to the automatic teller machines. 2) The teller machines are ancient. You have to keep hitting the options multiple times before they go through. 3) This place was filled with the DGs, or degenerate gamblers. You know the ones — those people who are always shouting at the screen, standing up and blocking your view of the televisions, trying to give you tips, and just bringing overall obnoxiousness into the room. Definitely not a fan. 4) The first time I visited this place they had run out of racing forms. Since the bulk of their business is for betting on the ponies, then I would think you would want to have plenty of forms. Anyone, I left because of this. I decided to give them one more shot, but had them set the form aside for me. I gave this place a 2 because a place that specializes in off track betting should have knowledgable tellers, working machines, and not run out of forms only a few hours into the betting day.

Two words, Holy S^*+!!! I’m not a Unilocal snob, and can understand when it takes a while to get service when a joint is slammed. However We were the ONLY table in the sit down section(maybe 70+ empty tables) and it took over an hour for two drinks and a single dish food order. Worst part, waited 15 minutes to pay our bill so we could just leave and had to take the cash to the bartender to cover the bill that never arrived. Brutal experience.

I told the bartender I’d give him 5 stars for a free beer because this place needs a serious rating lift. So much unnecessary hate for such a fine establishment. We run a golf tourney at Broken Tee and go here prior to the tournament. Staff is awesome and drinks are cheap. Don’t buy the negativity!

Degenerate gamblers unite! What’s with all the hate for Red & Jerry’s! It’s a great place to have a drink watch a game/horse race and place some bets. They have a nice little happy hour, plenty a space to spread out and an opportunity to win some money while sitting and drinking… how can this be bad? I typically go at off times to place my bets as to avoid any entrance fee which I would have a bit of a hard time swallowing. People are typically pretty friendly whilst placing bets, but I would recommend knowing what you are doing if you would like to avoid some dirty looks from the regulars. I go here for each of the Triple Crown races and will continue to do so, because when in Rome do what Romans do! I recommend anyone that likes to bet on the races to do the same!

There’s one reason to visit here… watch the horsies. I’ve never eaten here, and for the big races, they charge a cover. But the sports betting is great, the bartenders provided good service and cheap beers, they’ve got plenty of TVs to check out the races, so overall it’s ok.

Meh w/super cool staff! The location is crap, the vibe is creepy, but the bartender and people in the betting booths are hella cool! The only reason to go here is to feed the beast known as Gamblor. I hit it up a couple times during the triple crown. What a drive, out in the boonies. If you are a gambler and like to bet on the ponies, here you go. Otherwise, there is absolutely no need to venture here. If you are hardcore you probably park it and get your grub on. I am not that person. UnilocalDEALALERT — a free kamikaze shot with a check in = boom!

My boyfriend and I went here tonight for Wrestlemania 28. He had previous experiences but it was my first time. The bad experience just kept getting worse as the night progressed. First off, the front hosts and hostesses and NOCLUE what was going on. No one seemed to know which seating was for whom and what the actual cover price was. We ended up paying $ 15 each(after being told on the phone it would be a $ 10 cover). As for where to sit? We had to walk around and find waitstaff before we actually knew where to go based on the admission we had paid. We finally sat down and the waitstaff seemed confused as to what to do with us. They were not quite ready, which was fine, but even getting a glass of water was a challenge. A friend joined us a bit later and we ordered a couple beers, a couple sodas, two apps and an entrée. Nothing complicated. I wanted a Cherry Pepsi which seemed to really confuse the waitress. So she brought me a glass of Pepsi and a small cup of grenadine to make my own. The beers on tap, at least in the restaurant section, were extremely meh. Coors Light and Fat Tire on tap, Bud, Bud Light and Corona in a bottle. Nothing else. Oddly enough our wrist bands which indicated how much we paid to get in said ‘Miller Lite’. Once the program started getting any attention from any of the twelve waitresses was next to impossible. Part of me was ok with that because I wanted to watch the show, but we were thirsty. To make it even worse, some guy kept interrupting the program to announce crap over the intercom. We eventually got our check which had an automatic 18% gratuity applied. Ridiculous. The service we had did not deserve that much gratuity yet we had no choice. I have never heard of automatic gratuity for a party of three people and a total bill of around $ 30. Free parking is about the only plus to this venue. Service, food, selection, seating and the antiquated TVs and sound system will leave you wishing you paid for it at home.

So long any childhood hopes and dreams that I had for a place that is full of games and food that is bad for me. I finally went to Red and Jerrys for a night out after friends have always spoken highly of it for as long as I can remember. The place is huge that is obvious, but maybe too huge for the staff they have working there. There were two events going on the night I went a WWEPPV and a car show outside in the parking lot so I figured OK I might have to wait a minute before one of the waitresses come over as it is «seat yourself»(Now I can be exact on this next part because events tooks place) I sat down at 5:16PM at a dirty table and waited until 6:45PM for a waitress to finally stop at my table, all the while I attempted to stop her as she finished helping other tables around mine. Finally when she stopped I recieved a youre slowing me down look, lets get this over with stare. While waiting on my food I decided Ill take it upon myself to wipe down my own table accepting the fact that they were busy. I kindly asked the bartender if I could use his wet towel to wipe down my table, at this time he shouted how he only had one towel and I would just have to use napkins and some water. When my food arrived the waitress was kind enough to wipe down the table before setting my food on the table, but this small victory was short lived for them as I learned they messed up my food order which was a simple substitute onion rings instead of french fries with a side of hamburger. The bun was ice cold, the meat was blistering hot and the lettuce and tomato were just the right amount of sitting out since yesterdays lunch. As I choked down the last bite the waitress came by with a new burger and onion rings, explaining how the kitcen mixed up the orders because they are extremely busy at the moment, and gave me the food to go. The onion rings were good, crispy and salty. They were kind enough to had an 18% grat. to the bill which it does state on the menu they will do during special events, so this was no surprise. I didnt see the waitress after that, which was quite some time.

Wow — this place is just sad. I guess they used to have video games along with the off track betting but now it’s just betting and a very sorry restaurant and supposedly some pool tables somewhere. We wandered in wondering what the scoop was at this place(after driving by it numerous times in the past few years) and, unfortunately, we were very hungry when we arrived. We weren’t really up for betting on dog or horse races but apparently the people that were there are very serious about their racing. They looked like they spend a lot of time at Red & Jerry’s and no one looked like they were having much of a good time. We did decide to grab some lunch there but that was a bad decision. I ordered a caesar salad — nothing too complicated, right? But it was not tasty at all. Blech and more blech. Even my water tasted funny. My friend had a cheeseburger but, again, not good. I guess this place has really gone down hill over the years. Even the sign outside is looking pretty shabby. I guess that should have been our first clue.

HUGE !! This place is like two Dave and Busters in one building! I have been here a couple times for the Xtreme Cage Wars MMA events– which benefit fallen Police and Firefighters. Beer prices are high– actually quite similar to Pepsi Center or any other major arena. Sadly– Red and Jerry’s staffing, food and overall feel just don’t do much. I have had 10 times better service from the waitstaff at Denver Diner! Food= passable but nothing too special. Free parking! Yay! does that overcome all the other«issues» ?? ummm…no.

Dude… This place is huge. I’ve never seen it empty, that’s the only way you can appreciate it. All the games are gone. In the front is the bar and restaurant for the off site betting guys. There are several smaller club/event center type places in the back that were completly dark when we were there. The private party we were with was in the back, the bar area was large, well kept with all the TV’s on. The bar was stocked by 1 bar maiden whom made it a point to tell me how she made squat the last night because of an open bar…(wait a second, this is an open bar… what are u trying to tell me?) The place is dead, I figure Wal-mart will buy the lot and build some super ginormous shit hole. Word.

I must say this place has massively declined over the years, worse and worse every time I go. Not only the food is sub par even for bar food, the service is terrible. Unless you’re an extremely patient person and that can tolerate incompetence you probably want to go elsewhere. The last time that I went here was to watch a football game. They do have a lot of big screen TVs and the Direct TV package so it’s a good spot to watch the game, how ever because every other aspect of this place stinks, I’d rather watch the game on a 13″ black and white with crappy reception then going here… There are plenty of other places to go and watch a game with service 100 times better with HDTVs. For the kids they have a pretty big arcade… big in square feet, not in the amounts of games. Every time I go there are less and less games, with OUTOFORDER signs on most of them. I remember a time when the arcade was comparable to Dave and Buster’s. Definitely not the case anymore. Such wasted potential with this place, pool, indoor golf, dance club, etc… Once again, bust. If it wasn’t for the OTB this place would have shut down years ago… I suggest to pass on through if you’re thinking of going here.
