Located in a Marina across from Stump Pass, this is a natural stop for lunch during a boat tip to Stump Pass. Hoverer, the dockage is severely limited due to the Fuel Pumps. Maybe three boats can tie up around the side of the fuel dock behind the bathrooms? The restaurant is ONLY an outside Tiki Hut and Bar. Hot in the summer, and cold in the winter. the service was prompt and attentive, although they got our order wrong. the food(Mahi sandwich, and fried cheese fingers for the kids) was good — a good piece of fish cooked nicely. Sides were pretty much just French Fries. Beer was cold. There are not many places on the water you can access from a boat, so I hope this place survives. In 15 years I’ve never stopped here due to bad reviews. It may be 15 years before I return? But it was a nice break from a day on the water. Maybe I’ll return sooner, if the boat keeps running?

We’ve had drinks here a few times and always enjoy sitting by the water listening to live music when they have it and seeing what the charter boats caught that day. We have never had a meal here but the food looks to be your typical marina bar food. Prices are pretty average. We wish there would be a happy hour special!

Stopped here on my way up from Sanibel to Tampa on the boat. Great halfway stop to get your landlubber legs back(briefly) and a gulp of gas before you head back out on the Intracoastal. Minimal no wake zone to get to the marina, fuel pumps are right up front. Be aware the traffic along the Intracoastal is not at no-wake speed; if it is busy pull to the backside of the first dock to get fuel, it will save you some uncomfortable bumping against the dock. Ship store has a few products like beer/soda and some chips but nothing glamorous. Great variety of live bait. Cabana-type bar set a little further back looks like it would be a cool place in the evening with a stage for a band, etc. Overall I was impressed with the business. Gas prices were on par for ethanol-free fuel. I would stop here again.

Stump Pass Marina is a small marina relatively speaking but with exceptional services and amenities. The docking facilities are superb, all of the staff seems incredibly friendly as well as polite, it has a nicely stocked shop containing a wide range of fishing as well as boating supplies and is also home to the Stump Pass Grille. The docks are all in order and everything about the place is in top notch condition, even their men’s room facilities and their fish cleaning areas. It’s also a great place just to stop by to see what the sport fisherman have caught and to watch the skill of the various charter captains and their mates as they clean the catch while feeding scraps to the pelicans and other local birds. My suggestion is that if you go here, be sure to have your camera handy as there is usually something worthy of a picture.
