My uncle has been coming here for years apparently. This was our first time. I saw some of the complaints about price or staff but to be honest he prices are reasonable for the type of ice cream shop this is and at least tonight the staff was super friendly and helpful to my uncle. I appreciate that quote a bit and can’t wait to come again!

Ice cream is good but prices and unfriendly staff will make me go elsewhere Seriously $ 9.00 for a small soft serve and medium chocolate sundae? Would be okay if the portion sizes weren’t so tiny

Wonderful ice cream! There are lots of flavors and toppings to choose from and the sitting area outside is great. My only complaint is that the staff is not very friendly.

This place has more ice cream flavors than I’ve ever seen in a place! The variety and selection alone make it worthwhile to visit. By itself the hard ice cream is of a consistency similar to Baskin Robbins or Carvel. I tried the cake batter flavor(a special) and loved it! My wife tried the red velvet cake flavor and enjoyed that too. Both of these had swirls of cake batter and chunks of cake mixed with Vanilla. These are must tries! On a prior visit my wife got the pumpkin pie swirl… three times! This seasonal item was amazing for her and obviously highly recommended if you can get it! It’s a handmade creation mixing ice cream with a SLICE of pumpkin pie! Outstanding! My kiddos have enjoyed their basic flavors and shakes. The atmosphere almost has a drive in quality which is fun. It is attached and apparently co-managed by a hair salon next door which is a little weird. All in all a great place to get your dessert on :)

I’m not sure what these other review people are talking about … place has clearly gone downhill. … unfriendly staff. …generic ice cream. …don’t waste your time or money

Just got an ice cream here an hour ago. My third visit. Each time the ice cream is good but this place is too expensive. And I would never describe the folks that wait on you as friendly. There is no place to go indoors, only outdoor seating. Usually fine unless it is really humid or mosquitoes are out. I paid $ 4.25 for a single scoop on a sugar cone with sprinkles. I tried the new place on S McCall called The Ice Cream Place, Just the other day. Please see my review of that nearby place!

Its ice cream! How can you go wrong? I ordered the chocolate soft serve with a peanut butter topping and it was excellent. Seemed like a local business, I would stop again.

Had ice cream with our pedicure next door at shear sailing. The coconut had a lovely light flavor while the two coffee ice creams had intense flavor and the red velvet was also yummy. It’s nice to patronize a locally owned business! Great outdoor seating area as well.

We were visiting the(very) quiet town of Englewood recently and the kids wanted icecream so we Unilocaled it and found Swirls-N-Curls.(Thanks to the reviewer!) It was just what we needed… local place with tons of homemade icecream flavors which were great as well as other specialites. They have a cute outdoor seating area with lawn chairs and swings to relax and a couple of lawn games set up. If you want some nice non-chain local thing and I’m glad we found it. Just what we needed after a day at the beach.

I stopped by Swirls N Curls the other day for a cold treat and I’m so happy I found it! I feel so much better about supporting a local business than a chain and they had pretty much everything any other chain place can offer such as ice cream, soft serve, their version of the blizzard, shakes, parfaits, etc. I got the strawberry parfait and it hit the spot! I kept diggin into it and it seemed endless and then bam-it was done. Sadface. Parfaits make everything right in the world and anyone who doesn’t like parfaits is a communist in my book. They have a cute little patio area with chairs, tables, games with oldies music playing in the background. The fact that they are doggie friendly and serve doggie ice cream treats makes it all the better!
